Wow, amazing gems in this place! Mike is a big sweetheart and will make any of the furniture work for you!(he is the one who looks like Santa Claus). Really cool record collection and lamps and paintings, and I love the location. Remember, if you go, meet up with Mike! He’s friendly, charming and welcoming!

The guy that looks like Santa Claus is very nice. The other owner is one of the rudesdt people I have rnvcounteted in a very long time. There’s a sign in the window stating that tey are looking for stereo equipment from the 50s sbd 60s. I brought down my never opened 8 track just to see if he eas interested. He wouldn’t even look at it, woukdnt stop chewing his food with his mouth open while speaking to me, and had a nasty attitude. When I informed him there were several on Ebay going for around $ 75, he rudely cut me off and said«Then Ill list mine on Ebay!» My grandparents were avid antique collectors and have purchased several quite expensive pieces from this store-they will never set foot in their again. There was only a slight chance he would buy my item, so I wasnt counting on that, but attitude is everything! You dont like customers? RETIRE

This is my favorite antique store anywhere! I feel comfortable wandering around the luscious old oak furniture, funky and beautiful lamps, gorgeous oak frames on the wall. Mike is easy to talk to and he even makes me laugh! My visits to this store are always highly anticipated!

As I walked in today I overheard one of the owners loudly chastise a customer. Specifically, he hollered«Don’t open that unless you’re gonna buy it!» Hmmm…a valuable baseball card, perhaps? Or a first-edition comic book? Negatory. The customer was in the CD/DVD/VHS section. Now, I don’t know the entire story. Maybe the customer was holding the last known copy of «Caddyshack» in existence. Or possibly this particular customer had been wantonly manhandling all the merchandise before I got there. However, both the hollering man and his partner looked generally irritated at having to deal with ANY of us so I’m leaning more toward the conclusion that it’s not a happy place to shop. Plus, I got a junky vibe from the store. And that’s saying a lot, because I dig junk.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to a store where the owner is so rude as the proprietor of Bill & Mike’s Antiques. We were browsing around there earlier today and the owner was chatting with a friend. There was a street festival going on and he was bemoaning how it took away traffic and that the people coming in were not antique buyers, just browsers and he didn’t want to deal with them. Oh, OK. Good luck to you, buddy.

Great shop. Filled with nice craftsman wood furniture and vintage fixtures. Beautiful long prints of Lake Tahoe and many items of interest. If you have a question don’t be afraid to ask. Mike is a friendly helpful fella. We recently bought a fantastic piece of furniture that Mike refurbished. he gave us quire a deal on it too. I go to his shop every time I’m in Martinez. Even though I don’t always buy something, I never leave feeling like I wasted my time looking. Stop in and say«hi!»

They have some wonderful vintage sports memorabilia(especially old sportscards) and other things here. I would have bought several items if not for the lousy attitude of one of the owners(I think he was an owner) who sat out front. When I tried to engage him in conversation about the remarkable old photos he had on display outside he was pretty non-communicative. When I went inside and made an offer on an item to the other gentlemen(I assume the other owner) he essentially laughed my offer off. Guys, I was a potential customer who thought your inventory was great… but you made me feel like you could care less if you got my business or not.

While perusing the Martinez Farmers Market, we got magnetized to the front of this little shop. Mostly unnoticed on my part, this little store was never on my radar. We started pawing through the boxes of records that were in front. We giggled and laughed at all of the different records we found. My personal favorites were the All In The Family soundtrack. You know the song sung by Archie and Edith Bunker«Those were the days». My sister found a record to play for your bird to learn to talk. She also found, and bought the soundtrack to An American Tail. It’s that cartoon with the little mouse that sings«Somewhere Out There». The gentleman who was sitting out front was very helpful. My sister ventured inside and I followed. There’s some interesting antique furniture. I don’t think that any of it would fit in my house but it was fun to see. The man helping my sister knew where and what everything was. My sister went to another corner to look through more records and he knew what types of music and the artists were where. We had a lot of fun looking through his stuff. It’s open in Sunday during the farmers market, so you should stop by to see what he has in store that might catch your fancy.
