CLOSED Jan 2015. Wow never heard of a Mcd closure, but never knew one with the hours of Mon-Fri to 5 pm either. Oh well, hope we get a good replacement

Before jury duty one day I really needed a pick me up. $ 1 coffee from Mcdonald’s is a great pick me up. I don’t care what you think of Mcdonald’s. You love coffee and you love $ 1’s. Combine the two and you’re already a head in life. Sadly I watched the dude getting my coffee pulling hairs off of his shirt while holding my cup. Nasty, but I was on my way to doing my civil duty of jury duty so it was fitting to start the day. Otherwise the place is clean and the coffee came fast and really was nice to have while I stood around in line at the court house.

Staff here is surprisingly polite & enthusiastic despite rough customer base(across from courthouse/jail). I only order the coffee but couldn’t help but notice. Manager should be promoted!

I have lived in Martinez for 20 years. We are so sad that our little town with full service department store, boutique, pharmacy, good restaurants, movie theater, and much more, has become a depository for corporate fast food icons and used furniture stores. So what is so bad about Starbucks, Subway, and McDonalds? Starbucks is not necessary and ruins the town’s ambience. Subway is the lowest of lowly bland, horrible fast foods. McDonalds in Martinez? It actually closes early and is never open on weekends. All the county worker quick lunchers, disenfranchised, and weirdos come here. A chicken wrap at any other McDonalds has some chicken and crunchy veges and sauce in it, but not here. You may get a small bite of chicken and a lettuce leaf, but nothing else. And the wrap is not so cheap that they can miss most of the ingredients. It is tight and difficult to order and pick up your order and the garbage can will be at your shoulder swinging vigorously as you wait a long time for your order dodging many customers.

This McDonalds is located in a former Bank building and convenient to various Contra Costa County offices. Hence, you’ll see an interesting mix of attorneys, police, public employees, workers from local industry, and folks on either side of a particular trial. And unlike other McDonald’s locations, this place is pretty much closed when the County offices are. If you come here during Farmer’s Market days, you’ll wonder why you’re not eating better food across the street. There’s also a variety of sandwich shops and other cafes if you want to walk just a few blocks down. However, an occasional Big Mac Snack Attack isn’t such a bad thing. Plus my burgers and service have always been acceptable within the bounds of McDonald’s service model.

I had jury duty the other week and would pop into McDonald’s for a latte as a treat. This McDonald’s is clean, the women’s restroom was clean when I went in there, and the staff are friendly and nice. I saw one employee working the dining area cleaning, so I think they are addressing any problems they might’ve had previously. One day I went in and ordered a caramel latte, and they discovered they were out of caramel after I’d placed my order. They offered me hazelnut or vanilla as an alternative, and since I love all three I was okay with this. It was kind of unusual for a McDonald’s, though. The grey is a bit dated but there are large windows that let in some light. It’d be great if they updated it but as it is, it’s fine. Perfect location to pop out to get a latte on your jury duty 15 minute break!

Only reason I ever go here is if I’m hungry after school or If my team comes down before a game. Not a good atmosphere and definitely not the cleanest place

It’s been years since I ate at a McDonalds — although I will admit when pregnant with both cinzia and reno I had a big mac every day, which explains my excessive poundage upon delivery date(as was explained to me shortly after delivery… «I guess it wasn’t ALL baby!!!») I think this is the only McDonalds in The World that closes on weekends. MTown, you never cease to amaze… Ohh, I love Big Macs, with added ketchup tho.
