Just had an amazing meal at Mint. We’ve never been before but heard on our locals post that it was good. No disappointments. We had amazingly fresh pot stickers, Singapore rice noodles, and beef chow fun. I know lots of noodles, but we wanted to try their noodles. Each dish was fresh and tasty with tender beef and prawns. The chow fun noodles were not goopy or all stuck together. They were tender with a good chew. The curry in the Singapore noodles was not overpowering but had a good heat to it from a bit of jalapeño. Try it! We are going back.

Got the chicken curry phở with rice noodles and OHMY GOSH, my taste buds are in heaven. It was so spicy and full of flavor. I had the good ol’ nose soup runs. The lady who took my order was very nice and kept giving me a bunch of recommendations after telling her it was my first time there. I originally was going to order the egg noodles but she told me that the rice noodles were way better with the chicken curry. Appreciate the tip! It’s a little hole-in-the-wall place, so don’t go in expecting amazing dining décor and a romantic dinning atmosphere. There’s booths and trays that you eat your food on(kind of fast food style). But do go in for slurping flavorful phở with your nose dripping! Will probably be my go-to phở takeout place from now on!

Ordered grilled pork. Was dry and had too much fat. I asked for steamed rice, they gave me fried rice. Spring rolls seemed stale. Won’t go back. I took food out… if I was there would have asked for a refund.

One of my favorite spots to eat in Martinez, Mint is quick and inexpensive. It’s especially fast if you’re off highway four. You can call ahead to get your order to go. This is not, however, a place you’d want to take your first date. It’s casual. The décor is uninspired. But you’re paying little, so you shouldn’t complain. From their lunch special, I’ve had the yellow curry, the stir fried vegetables, chicken and green beans, fried rice, and regular rice. All are decent, especially the stir fried vegetables. However, if you’re looking for more spicy Thai curry, you might be disappointed. I’ve also had the regular phở and the chicken curry phở. While the regular phở is alright, I adore the chicken curry phở. It’s creamy, savory, filling, even comforting. It comes with either eggplant or squash(restaurant’s choice), basil, cilantro, onion, green onion, rice noodles and chicken. Give it a try. You likely won’t regret it.

Owners are super nice too!

This is a great place to go to get a fresh meal in a fast manner. The lady was so friendly and warm. I described the dish I wanted, and they made it for me just as requested. Yum!

Wow, this place is super good! I go with the Vietnamese items on the menu. I’m in love with the Grilled Pork Vermicelli bowl. All of the fried and fresh spring rolls are just awesome as well. We’ve also done the Spicy beef soup which is super decadent, but a nice one for a cold day. The couple that run this place are cool, super nice. It looks like the place used to be a Subway or something. It’s sorta got a funky look, but you gotta just look past it. We probably go once a week!

I must agree with my fellow Unilocalers who did not like this place. I wanted to like it, I really did! We tried it twice, as I usually do just to be fair as it might have ben an «off» day for the place but it simply was bad food. If I didn’t know any better I’d think the cook had no taste buds nor any type of training or experience in cooking Asian food. We tried multiple dishes and found the rice to be dry, the chow mein, beef chow fun, broccoli beef etc cooked in way too much oil and the egg foo young was in a soupy corn starch infused slurry of what I think was supposed to be gravy. The other dishes were just not flavorful. Which is sad because Chinese food normally has huge depth of flavor! We didn’t order any dish that went beyond the normal«American-Chinese» fare, so really for a cook this should have been easy. As for the restaurant itself and the service, my fellow Unilocalers also were on point: not exactly clean, way too crowded with tables and clutter, the place seemed like it was someone’s office/home rather than a professional business. The server was overly aggressive and the cook did not wash his hands after getting up from the table to cook our food. That’s unacceptable, even when I mentioned it to server she seemed to brush it off. I would not recommend this place. Save your money and time and eat elsewhere.

Reccomend: two item combo, with green bean chicken and sweet and sour chicken I pass this place on here regular because it’s my commute. I’m all about the small and locally owned spots so am definitely down to support them. I love Chinese food, like real Chinese food. While this place leaves a bit to be desired, it can definitely satisfy a Chinese food craving!

Affordable! 3:30 time for lunch, very clean inside. Friendly owner, only a few items at the hot bar and since I don’t eat rice decided to order mango chicken al la carte and fresh prepared. She even added extra veggies in free of charge. I saw her cut and cook most if it. $ 17 for the mango chicken, 2 large fresh shrimp spring rolls and a Thai lced tea. Easily enough food for 2 – 3. Not fancy inside but the food is totally worth it. I usually take my food to go and have a picnic at the marina. And the food is a combo of thai/Vietnamese/Chinese.

This place is disgusting honestly. When you walk in the restaraunt at first it looks really dirty. The kitchen needs a good cleaning because it looks like there is grease everywhere. The people who work there are really pushy and always asking«what else what else?» Also the lady just gave me five choices as an entrée which I thought was really rude and a bad choice to say the least. I ordered chow mein and the lady decided to put half chow mein and half fried rice which I didn’t even order. The Orange chicken was gross and tasted like they fry it in the same oil as someone would fry corn dogs in. The rice was hard as a rock as though it would have been sitting there for hours, the chow mein was good but still not fresh. Not going back and don’t recommend it at all. They need a food inspector

Why even have restaurant hours posted if you are going to be closed during those times?

Just had lunch with a couple of friends. Several items on the menu were not available, and the six items that we were able to order were just ok. One of the tables in the dining area is used as an office, and the back corner is used for storage. So though I try to be positive, with all these issues, 2 stars is all I can give. I suggest you eat elsewhere.

The soups and teas here are amazing, especially if you have a cold. The service was really great too. I will definitely be coming back for more.

I’ve been fighting a cold and their Thai curry chicken soup/phở special is serious medicine! Ordered medium spicy and she created it with perfect heat so that I have a bit of bead in the brow, but not downing my ice tea like no tomorrow. I’d advise to come here for Thai and Vietnamese cravings vs. Chinese :). 4 stars just because there’s more noodles(ramen style) than I like and prefer more goodies like the eggplant and more veggies. I also really like that there’s an elderly Asian man in back whistling happily and there’s no TV blaring obnoxiously. I can sit in peace and enjoy my soup. Very happy… I’ll be back! Thank you!

No, you can’t get bánh mì here but you can get some seriously fresh food. Medium spice was pretty mild, which I was secretly happy about. My plate did have a few jalapenos to add warmth but I kicked them aside when I liked the heat. I watched the squash get chopped up to make my pumpkin curry dish, which was really good. I enjoyed how fresh the food was. Their chicken wings were amazing. the iced Vietnamese coffee was good, although I am use to the french press pot being placed on the my table. I also really liked how super friendly everyone was. All together this is a really nice place to pop in and have some healthy but rich food.

This is a little Gem of a place in Martinez, we stopped in last night for dinner and the food was delicious. We had the Singapore shrimp, pineapple fried rice and egg rolls. The portions of food u get is great and the price is very inexpensive. We are glad we found this new addition of restaurants to add to our list.

I usually come here for my working lunch. They have a cool concept I haven’t seen at any other Vietnamese restaurants — a hot, to-go, food bar. I’ll save you the research, and say just get the Thai Basil Chicken and String Beans. I love the string beans. This place is great, for the restaurant-desert known as Martinez.

With the cold weather the craving for a nice bowl of soup is irresistible. I decided to come to this fairly new place near my house. They had a Chicken a Noodle Soup on the menu and a Pineapple Fried Rice. I ordered both but for some reason they couldn’t make me the Pineapple Fried Rice. I really don’t know the reason why. All I got was a shrug and a shake of the head«No». So soup it was. All of the ingredients we’re fresh and they cooked the slices of chicken right in front of me. I got it to go and they packaged everything up nicely. All of the ingredients were fresh. One of my favorite things about Vietnamese food. I really liked the soup. I will say the broth was bland even after letting it steep for a few minutes. But good chicken and fresh veggies makes up for it. I’m glad it’s only a freeway exit away. I can get my soup craving fix in minutes. Maybe some day I’ll get that Pineapple Fried Rice.
