Love everything about this place. Very warm environment. Beautiful ‘Love’ theme décor. Super yummy Tom Yum Gong fried rice. Will be back to try their Pad Thai and other dishes :)

I’m not exactly sure how I wound up in the area, but thanks to my fellow Unilocalers, I found Thaitree. I wandered in for lunch and found a Thaitree to be a cute little spot for a nice lunch with my wife. Pad Thai for me, Pumpkin Curry for her, delicious for both of us! Service was warm, friendly and efficient. I’d definitely go out of my way to return for lunch or dinner as the food was very good and beautifully presented. 5 stars for this nice little restaurant.

My favorite Thai spot in Martinez. They have really great food like the Pra Ram, pumpkin curry, and the Grapow. I also recommend the Thai iced green tea. Has wifi and the prices are about what you’d expect at any Thai spot. Must try!

We love this place! The Tornado Beef is my favorite and my husband says they have the best Green Curry! Friendly staff, a nice atmosphere, they play good music and everything we have eaten has been fantastic.

The BEST Thai restaurant in the area. We’ve been to so many Thai restaurants in California and this is the first one has the authentic Thai taste. YUMMYFOOD and GREAT customer service!!! We’ll come back

I am so relieved that I have found a thai place that not only has delicious food, but when I ask for it to be Thai hot(ped ped), and I am white that they believe me! Super hot the way I like it, thank you!

My new favorite Thai place!!! Everything we’ve tried here we love. Get the Roti with green curry for an appetizer, you won’t be disappointed! I’ve tried the crab fried rice and the Pad Thai both yummy. My husband got the cashew nut chicken which normally I don’t like cuz it’s usually so plain at most places but they killed it here! The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Great flavor! Never had anything here that I didn’t like. Fast and friendly service as well. So happy this place opened.

Great service, clean. Had Chicken Curry and Pad Thai with Chicken Satay. Seasoning was excellent and food was perfectly cooked. Fried banana with coconut ice cream was the best way to top off a delicious meal. I can’t wait to dig in to the leftovers!

We came here for lunch, my bf got the isaan dish(sticky rice, papaya salad(lao style), and marinated chicken), which he totally like alot. I got the pad thai with fried fish cake(which i really like alot as well). Despite the food was delicious, but i felt that they used MSG to boost their flavor(something that I want to advoid in my food). I would come here again, but have to tell them no MSG!

After walking by several times on different occasions on my way to other nearby businesses I decided to give’em’a’go. I had just finished working on a project non-stop at home and was craving some sustenance so I threw on a hat and headed in. APPETIZER: Chicken Satay is grilled chicken served with peanut sauce and cucumber salad. I really loved the side of cucumber salad. Two thumbs up! SOUP: Chicken & Shrimp Tom Yum is hot and sour soup with mushrooms, tomatoes, galanga, lemon grass and lemon leaf. It’s even served on a warmer! Two thumbs up! MAINMEALS: — Chicken Gaprow is stir-fried chicken with bell peppers, onion and basil leaves. — Mussamun Beef is premium slow braised flank steak with brown curry sauce, potato, peanuts, carrots, and onions. The beef was really tender and juicy! Both dishes get two thumbs up! SUMMARY: The service was great and friendly, the ambiance is casual and the restaurant was clean. I’m pretty sure that it’s a family run restaurant which is really cool. There is ample parking in the plaza parking lot. I’m definitely going to be a regular at this establishment.

Amazingly tasty and presentation and environment was super peaceful and pleasant! The Pra ram was the tastiest I’ve ever had and I LOVED their hearty version of Tom Kha soup! Everything we had was an A+ and super classy and well-designed. The owners are the sweetest folks too – wonderful dining and culinary experience!!!

Nice little find! We had Tom Yum Soup and Volcano Beef and Sweet and Sour Chicken. The family that owns the restaurant is very nice. The Tom Yum soup was a little small portion-wise, usually a full portion is a large bowl but we just had a small bowl for $ 9. Also I like fresh tofu vs fried tofu and you have to ask for it or you get fried tofu in your soup, which I was not used to. The Volcano Beef was good, tender, slightly spicy and sweet. The sweet and sour chicken was also good, although a little bland. Service was really prompt and excellent and we got a free Roti dessert with Unilocal check in. It’s fried layered bread with condensed milk and powdered sugar. Is it good for you? Probably not. Is it delicious? YES!

Best Thai curry around! Delicious samosas and fried pumpkin appetizer! Papaya salad was good. Everything is great and super flavorful but a bit spicy, so come prepared to sweat a little. Vegan-friendly, too.

I may be a cat from Africa, this much is true, but I have a deep love for Thai food that makes it my all time favorite ethnic food ^ ^. I found myself in the Martinez area once again and with good company who knew my food preferences and desires very well. Thai Tree beckoned to us, and seeing as it was relatively new, and from the looks of it quite promising, we decided to give it a try. Thaitree is definitely on the smaller side, with a few large tables and a small two person tables by the window. They have a nice outside seating area that I can see being very relaxing and pleasant on warmer days. Definitely very clean and casual looking with basic décor and overall nice atmosphere. We were seated and given menus. I would say the selection here is very«standard» for Thai restaurants. Things you would expect to see such as pumpkin curry, green curry, pad thai, tom yum soup etc. My friend decided to try the fried chicken fried rice and I opted for the never failing Pad Thai with chicken. Our waiter asked us if we wanted something to drink and we asked for water. It ended up never arriving which was a bit annoying, but not too big of an issue. Many minutes later, another waiter noticed we had no drinks or water and politely asked if we would like some. Issue corrected. I do have to say, it did take quite a long time for our orders to be ready. I understand sometimes food can take time, but in terms of what is average, it definitely was a much longer than average wait time to get out food. Another issue I wanted to point out, while nothing major, but something I note, is that my dish came out quite a bit before my friends dish arrived. Usually this is something you try to avoid if there are two people eating. If it is a group, it is doable and less awkward, but if it is two people, and one has food while the other does not for a while, it can be a bit awkward. Ideally, restaurants should try to bring out the dishes at relatively the same time if not only split apart by a few minutes. Again, not too big of an issue, but something I feel should be said. Now with all that said, I must say that the food here IS delicious. Lots of great flavor in both dishes and and the chicken I had in the pad thai was not dry at all like some places do theirs. Very well presented and looked quite colorful. Great flavor, definitely worth the wait I feel. We used the Unilocal check in to their roti dessert which was wonderfully sweet and crispy! Great way to end the meal. Overall, I would give this place 4 stars and a paw up. I would leave 3 based on some things, but as this place is new and probably still trying to find its bearings, I feel 4 is fair and warranted. I may try them again one of these days to see how things are coming along. Definitely worth it! *chirp!*

I always have a little Thai food craving from time to time and in little old Virginia Hills, this new business REALLY hits the spot. It’s been about a month and a half since Thai Tree first opened their doors and they seem to be delivering solid Thai food at reasonable prices. I’ve been to a handful of Thai restaurants in the area – Martinez, Walnut Creek, Concord, Pleasant Hill – but this one REALLY delivers on the flavor! I came in on a late weeknight for dinner with my family. The place was nearly empty but the workers were prompt enough to serve us. The menus had an interesting shiny print to them(just to note) and they had the generics of all traditional Thai food on the menu. We ordered: Pad Thai with Tofu($ 9) Yellow Curry with Vegetables($ 9) Pineapple Fried Rice(comes with chicken & shrimp, $ 12) I love family-style eating since you’re able to share the goods and control your own portions. The Pad Thai was delicious and tasted fresh, tasty enough to have no complaints. The Yellow Curry dish was PACKED with flavor as I felt I could eat anything with that curry(one of the best curries I’ve had)! And the Pineapple Fried Rice… Wow. Out of all the pineapple fried rice dishes I’ve ever had, this was the BEST one I have had. The shrimp was nice and plump, fried rice perfectly sweet and savory… Everything melded well together and had enough spice and seasoning to be one yummy meal. This may be one of the better Thai restaurants I’ve had. I asked the waiter how business was doing since they opened and he said it’s been pretty so-so… I encouraged him that their food is DELICIOUS and prepared with a lot of care. I hope this business can attract more customers! Plus side: I loved the free roti dessert with Unilocal check-in. The roti was basically fried roti — which is a delicate, chewy fried Indian-style bread with condensed milk and sugar — and it was a perfectly DELICIOUS end treat.(Don’t expect much since it’s free, but it’s still delish.) For $ 3 you can add ice cream to it. Check came out at a reasonable price for 3. Waiters are a little shy to talk to you but definitely love to serve their food. With great food prepared very well, I’ll definitely be back! Hope this place is here to stay!

I love this place! It’s clean and the food is delicious! I dined alone and I ordered chicken satay, pad thai, brown rice and green iced tea. The chicken satay comes with 3 sticks of chicken for $ 7, it’s lightly flavored perfect for the peanut sauce which was excellent! The pad thai for $ 9 was good, too. Someone here said it was somewhat sweet, it’s not. It tastes like any great tasting pad thai should be. The brown rice looked red to me, it’s nutty and better than any brown/red rice I had before! Their green iced tea is a bit sweet for my taste, otherwise it’s great. Because I checked in using Unilocal,I was served complimentary roti for dessert with vanilla ice cream for $ 3. It’s sweet warm Indian bread topped with vanilla ice cream, so yummy! I ate it all even though I was watching my sugar intake. Thank heavens there’s an excellent thai restaurant in my neighborhood. I’ll be coming back with my family for dinner. Come try this place, I promise you’d love it, too!

With all the good reviews, I was hoping for some good or even great Thai food. But unfortunately it was just ok. Ordered the thai tree fresh spring rolls and while the spring rolls were fresh the paper that they put in the take out box sticks to the rice paper of the spring rolls so it took time to peel off. They should use something else to lay underneathe the spring rolls to prevent sticking. Tried the green curry fried rice and it was disappointing. I did not taste a hint of green curry and overall it lacked any flavor. The crispy chicken was fried a little too long and as result dried out the chicken. Though there were a lot of fresh ingredients like red bell pepper, eggplant, green beans, carrots and cilantro, the dish was just not good. Seems like Martinez was missing a decent Thai place hence all the raving reviews. I’ll return after some time and try some other dishes.

This place is so so good, so delicious food!!! I came to this town for work, and seen this place just opened, oh my… I need to try haha. I went for combo lunch pad thai and satay chicken. It was flavorful and portions were perfect. Pad thai is must try, the rice noodles full of sauce flavor, perfect stir-fried noodles with chicken, egg, bean sprouts, chive and tamarin sauce. and also It came with a wedge of lime, you squeeze on your pad thai yummmm… the taste is amazing! Chicken satay was tender, nice and delicious. it came with peanut sauce and cucumber salad, dipping with chicken make it more tasty. I recommend this place and will come back again to try something else :)

Well, I was surprised and sad to see Mother India gone, but I do love Thai food, so I walked on in. Nice people, very friendly and welcoming. Today is only their second day open, so they are still getting things set up, but their chef, they tell me, had been a chef in Thailand for 10 years. I ordered the garlic and pepper beef, which I found to be rich, flavorful, and filling. No wimpy, tepid tastes here! It’s just a couple blocks from my dojo, and I am sure I Will be coming here often to fuel up. Wow this is so gloriously garlicky. The cabbage is a nice, refreshing, slightly slightly sweet counterpoint. If I ate rice, I am sure it would be excellent with this dish. It is $ 9 and quite filling. Dessert is a ball of fried ice cream with banana, $ 8

So excited that we finally have yummy Thai close to home! This spot took over the Mother India location in the Safeway parking lot on Alhambra. They’re about a day-old-new so they’re still working things out in terms of décor, signage, etc. but their food is SOLID. Staff was really attentive and nice. Only waited about 10 mins for takeout. Got the Larb app(think chicken lettuce wraps), pad Thai, and Penang curry. The Larb and pad were spicyyyy. Really good but hot. The curry was beautiful. So flavorful and balanced. I wish them all the best and will be a regular for sure. They’re working on a liquor license so we can have wine with our curry soon
