A group of us went to Fox and Hound to watch the NBA Finals Game. They did take reservations before hand which was convenient since we had a larger group. We sat at a high top near the bar where there were plenty of TVs surrounding you. Everyone could see the game perfectly. There are over 20 beers on tap as well as specialty cocktails available. I am more of a craft beer person so they did not have that many options for me. They typically offer a daily drink special as well. On Thursdays, they offer $ 4 classic cheeseburgers, which some of our party ordered. I am not a burger person, so I ordered the blackened fish tacos which came with chips and salsa. I enjoyed the cilantro-lime sour cream that was drizzled over the tacos. About halfway through the game we also ordered loaded mac n’ cheese with chicken, bacon, and mushroom. This was by far my favorite dish we had here! The food came out very quickly which is always a plus. I would definitely come back to watch a sporting event with friends. However, if you are looking for a more intimate dinner, this probably isn’t for you! They do have a small patio area in the front of the restaurant, which would be nice during the summer! Overall, I would say this is an above average sports bar. Nothing special, but nothing to complain about either!

Fox and the hound. I expected classy quiet prestigious and the only fox this hound found was loud, over-stimulated sports bar with the smell of cigarettes in the air. I have to admit the fish and chips were out of this world delicious, fresh and hot but the atmosphere was less than to be desired. It would have been more fun if I came with a different frame of mind, but I think the brashness of the place was too much for me, especially after a hard day at work. I went on Tuesday 2.00 draft so was a good day to come but again, I think it’s just one too many sports bar restaurants for me when I was hoping for something a little more classy. I will try this place again with a new fresh outlook and not in busy 2.00 draft night. Maybe next time will prove more worth my time.

Fox and Hound is a great place to hang out with friends any day of the week! The atmosphere is casual with a hipster vibe. I love their swanky leather crescent shaped booths. No live music, but plenty to do besides eat: TVs to check out the latest games, multiple pool tables and darts. Speaking of food, they have a good selection of bites for most tastes. Salads, Pizza, Burgers, Pasta, Ribs. The Sweet and Spicy Bacon Flatbread is a personal favorite of mine. Enjoy!

This place is total run down. Average drinks and average servers. Both appetizers were off the mark. Chips were smelling and artichoke dip was cold from bottom. There are lots of other places in Mason to enjoy drinks.

My boyfriend, his friend, and I all went to Fox and Hound last night to hang out and watch hockey(the hockey idea was theirs, not mine.) We decided to sit at the bar and order food and drinks. The service was great. Both bartenders made sure we were well taken care of, and my Kentucky Mule was really good. My boyfriend got a double rum and coke, but a few moments after he received his drink, one of the bartenders came over with a shot of rum and told us that he forgot to add the second shot to the drink. It was good to see how quickly he realized it, and mistakes happen. And, if you all want to know, my boyfriend’s friend seemed to like his Bud Light. Now onto the food. I ordered six chicken wings with Caribbean-jerk sauce. The food came out quickly. They were pretty spicy, which I expected, but the wings seemed small to me for the price. I also split two of their pretzels with my bf, and they were pretty good. However, for the quality and size of everything I had, I didn’t think they were worth the price. All in all, The Fox and Hound is a good sports bar. They have a ton of beers on draft to try, a large bar with friendly bartenders, and several TVs inside for 360 degrees of sports. Yay sports! They have a covered patio that I want to sit in the next time I make my way to Mason.

The last time I was at a Fox and Hound it was on a big game night(too long ago to remember which) and I was on a business trip with co-workers so we were there more to drink and hang out. This time, the visit to take the family for dinner while visiting the area. Our original intent was to grab a burger at Red Robin. When we arrived there was a 90+ minute wait. We called Fox and Hound and they were able to seat us immediately. The hostess seated us right away in a side area(away from the bar). I don’t know if they had just opened the section, or if the server we had was just starting her shift, but we waited a pretty long time to have someone come to the table. The rest of the experience wasn’t exceptionally bad, but it wasn’t exceptionally good either. The food was decent for what it is, bar food. The server was a little rough around the edges but not in a fun, snarky way more an «I’m annoyed to be working» kind of way. I will say that my nephew got chicken fingers that looked amazing. My buffalo chicken sandwich was decent, but again, not outstanding.

Just had lunch at Fox & Hound with a party of 22(6th grade basketball team). From the minute we walked in the staff warm and welcoming. They didn’t bat an eye at the large party size. Besides great service the food was excellent and it came out in good time. Too bad it was lunch time. Would have loved to sit back and enjoy a beer. Next time!

Went here tonight just to hang out for a bit. So I wasn’t expecting much, just your standard bar food, but I actually got a lot more. Firstly, the entire staff was super friendly. They got us seated immediately and we were greeted by our server quickly. He had our app order in and out to us in a snap. We had the nachos to start, which were actually pretty good. My fiancé ordered the Cuban sandwich, I ordered the fish and chips, and our friends split the boneless wings and an order of the Mac and cheese. Everyone was beyond satisfied with their food, which also came out quickly. Toward the end of the meal I realize my cell phone was missing and had actually gotten lodged between the wall and the booth. The manager, server, and other staff members were so quick and helpful. The moved the whole booth to get me my phone back. It’s bound to be a story we tell for a while. Everyone was happy with this experience and we will absolutely go back! The environment is your typical bar, but with the added fun of music videos(a lot like a Hard Rock Café). If you’re just looking for a fun, chill, and friendly vibe, I totally recommend checking this place out!

We went here to play ping pong and pool after dinner at a nearby restaurant. So, we were not super particular about about our drinks or food, we just wanted to play. The waitress who served us was friendly and helpful. She helped us figure out what drinks and appetizers to order and found an extra pair of ping pong paddles for us. They have a pool table and a ping pong table with recent space around the tables. The ping pong table is not is particularly great condition, but it is playable. The food and drinks we ordered were okay.

I came here for a football game looking for TVs, beer, and food. By the name, I was expecting an English-style pub so I was a bit thrown off to find an American bar and bar menu(which is even better for watching a game). This place had everything I needed and exactly what I was looking for. There were plenty of TVs for all viewing angles, the beer list was decent with a good variety of local and non-local brews, and the menu items were very fitting for«football food.» A colleague of mine and I split wings, nachos, and the quesadilla(too much food). All 3 of the items were pretty damn good and definitely hit the spot. They also had $ 4.50 margaritas that night which were pretty decent although maybe could use a bit more alcohol. Overall, I was pretty happy with my visit here and will likely come back.

There are only two reasons to ever go to Fox & Hound: $ 2 Tuesdays, or if you’re looking for a place to wind down your night and play some pool. However, don’t except a classy environment, good service, or good food.

Wifi didn’t work for our annual fantasy football draft. My Jim Beam appeared and tasted very watered down. This has happened here before. As always, service here is very good. Bar food is fine.

Overall this is a bar with food… Not very good food. I ordered the bologna sandwich. Curious why a bologna sandwich would cost nearly $ 10. The answer because it is way over priced nothing special. My wife ordered the fish and chips. It was so bad she only ate a couple bites and gave up. Being from Texas I was excited to see Texas chili on the menu. It is NOT Texas chili. Hotdog sauce at best. The service was not that good. My wife drink was empty. The server filled my drink and didn’t offer to fill her drink. This is a one strike and they are out. We do not plan on returning.

Good place to play pool or just hang out and watch a game. Got to see OSU dismantle Wisconsin in the Big 10 championship last time I was there so I am a little biased.

The hostess had a poor attitude, but Rib Eye was on point! Our group of 15 enjoyed their meal and drinks. We had a sweet server, a little inexperienced but competent. I’ll leave this short because honestly it’s not that memorable of an experience. I guess for the locals the drink specials and pool tables with a good amount of flat screens make this a local hangout. The bathroom was gross with a broken soap dispenser I had to pour in my hand. Overall the atmosphere was what you’d expect from a bar and grill!

I like Fox and Hound. The food is generally good, although on occasion things have been a little overcooked. The space large and pretty nice, it feels like a moderately upscale pub. My favorite thing about Fox and Hound is their amazing drink specials. They have a different special for each day, but the most amazing one is $ 2 Tuesday. $ 2 Tuesday wouldn’t really be a big deal if this was a crappy bar that just had a weak selection of light domestics, but I’m talking about beers that are normally $ 5-$ 10, like: Truth, Chickow, Bourbon Barrel Ale, and Arrogant Bastard. I don’t know how they can even do this really. I’m guessing it’s subsidized by Bud Light drinkers and food sales? Anyway, I originally had 4 stars, but now just thinking about how awesome this I’m upgrading my review to 5 stars.

This is one of the funner places to hang out in Mason as a dj starts playing a good combination of electronic dance, hip hop, and rock music around 10:30pm. This place also draws a large crowd on Tuesday nights because of their drink specials(beers are only $ 2.00). The food is decent and the portions are good for the price. The Dog Bites are ok, but I did like the Tavern Chicken dinner. There is also a large selection of beers. From the limited amount of pictures available I thought this was going to be a dive bar, but it’s actually a pretty big place with 2 side rooms with multiple pool tables and dart boards. There are also televisions in every direction. I usually sit at the bar so I can’t really comment on how the table service is, but while sitting at the bar the service has been excellent. Overall, if you’re looking for a livelier place to have a few drinks and appetizers with your friends, I recommend stopping by here. Please note that cops like to hang out around here so make sure you have your designated driver ;)
