Panda Express

This place is a disaster. The food that was ready was cold. They were out of many of their entrée choices, and it took at least 15 minutes to make the dish we asked for, and once it was cooked I had to go ask for it because they had forgotten that we were waiting.
They were sorely understaffed and most of the staff was rude, and didn’t seem to care at all about treating guests well or getting food out quickly. I started this review in the restaurant with 2 stars, and then dropped it to 1 after an employee rudely yelled «yo!» to get another guests attention (who had waited quite awhile for their food too).

Tip: food is better/​actually fresh during lunch rush only. However even if you order online and get there at or after the time that your order is supposed to be ready, it is not?! They actually make it for you when you get there on the occasions Ive been which doesn’t seem right because you have to wait again lol. Also they forgot one of my side items and when I realized it and called they would not refund it to my card, but stated that on my next visit the side would be free. Whatever.

Nice and clean. Bryan kept the line moving swiftly and was really friendly. Great food, fast!

Half the time we come here, they are out of the entrees I want, so we turn around and go somewhere else. This place has really gone downhill since they first opened, I assume due to poor management.

Food is always old or stale. Asked them how fresh it was and there response was «it hasn’t been up there for a long time»… Then why is the food soggy and chewy?!
Employees were not very friendly or helpful. They played around more than they worked. Been here one time and will not return.

I’ve tried… given a few chances and now I think I’m done. I think this location has undergone a change in management, but it doesn’t seem to have helped. I’ve gone here primarily for lunch, maybe just once for dinner. And at prime lunch rush, they are out of A LOT. Let’s face it, probably 80% of people coming to this place are getting orange chicken, myself included. Especially during meal rushes, I don’t know why you wouldn’t just keep up a steady stream of that stuff. It’s not like it’s going to sit there going cold/​stale. They make maybe one entrée at a time from start to finish and then start on the next. I didn’t even try to order steamed brown rice, they probably would have had to make it from scratch. And during the rush, it seems that there are always workers more interested in socializing with each other than waiting on customers. Maybe they think that since most of the food bowls are empty and all of the entrees are in a long waiting line to be refreshed, they have free time. Newsflash, you work in an open kitchen… don’t leave me standing there in line watching you and your friends work on your whip nae nae. The tables are dirty, the soda fountain area is a mess and all of the sunshades are up, baking everyone in the restaurant.
The food, when it finally shows up, is actually pretty good… probably because it’s so fresh… like mouth burning barely out the fryer because you’re hungry and it’s been foooorever so you just try to blow on it and eat because you’ve got to get back to work. That’s why this place is getting 2 stars instead of 1. But I don’t even think the food is going to be enough to bring me back anymore, I am just going to take on some additional drive time and go to the location on Tylersville.

Dropping to two stars due to the fact that every time we come here (once a week) they are out of teriyaki chicken along with a couple other items. They even closed 10 minutes early one night when we came to get food to go. We go to the West Chester location now, and it’s much better.

Food is ok but every time I come here there such a long wait. Even when I order online! Make sure you have time to wait, this definitely isn’t fast food

We have been to this location a handful of times and ask ourselves why we wasted our money here each time. Our food is consistently old and stale and NOT fresh. Even today right at 12:15, half the entrée bowls were empty and nothing tasted fresh– more like it had been sitting there all morning. I have been to other locations and had slightly better experiences, but overall, the food is lame.
Oh, and the employee inside asked my friend if he wanted to wash the table off himself outside or if she should come do it. Um, pretty sure that’s what you’re paid to do, ma’am. She handed the spray bottle and rag to him and we cleaned the chairs and table ourselves (they were filthy).

Out of the 10 or more choices they offer, they only had two you could actually pick from.

I think their price is a bit high for the quality of the food. You can choose one or two entrees for different prices along with rice or noodle. If you want to order steak or shrimp for the entrée, there is extra cost. I love their orange chicken.
The kids meal is the best deal. For about $ 5, you can get a drink, cookie, one entrée and rice. If you are not a big eater, this is a decent size. I passed on a cookie since it seemed like factory made with Chinese wrapper. It didn’t look appetizing.

I like the place. I just have never seen it when I didn’t have to change what I want because they are out. They are happy to make it for you, if you can hang around for 15 minutes. They also seem understaffed very often. 1 – 2 at most and it takes a while to get through line.

I love Chinese and this is my second visit to the place in one week because I like the food here.
I went there by 9.15 pm yesterday. There were 2 ladies at the serving station. One lady says. «only take out because we close in 10 mins «and the other one is attending a customer. (there were 2 more people before us) we were very very hungry and we already decided what we were going to carry out. I was thinking of the fire cracker chicken with brown rice. my husband wanted pepper chicken and kung pao with fried rice and I wanted to order the Orange chicken with fried rice for my 3 year old.
After the person before us finished the order, she was paying at the other counter. and when we were about to order our food (we were the last customers), the other lady at the took 3 boxes. emptied the fire cracker chicken bowl :(, emptied the orange chicken bowl in 2 different boxes and then took a bigger box, almost emptied the fried rice (jus one spoon was left) almost emptied the chow mein… and took some pepper chicken. Meanwhile we were wondering «what is she really doing now, we did not even order our food still and whatever we wanted to order was getting over OMG». She immediately put those 3 boxes in her bag and she asked us «what do you want» imagine… is this the way you attend a customer Panda Express? IS this how you have trained your employees? I wanted to jus leave but I thought atleast my husband can order something from there… so he took some pepper chicken and kungpao and the «one spoon» of fried rice.
I don’t want to keep wasting my time writing this. but I really wanted Panda Express to understand this situation and not treat customers like this. I have already been to other locations and I was never treated like this.

I gave 3 stars only because of the food and value for what you get. Food was fresh and hot. I agree with the other review. Very unfriendly staff. Didn’t act like they wanted to be there. I’m in Cincinnati a lot and probably won’t be back given the selection of other restaurants in the area.

This place is pretty good. The price isn’t bad but the food has always tasted fresh and food has always been hot or warm for me never cold. (I normally go between 1−7pm) I really enjoy the food and it is normally pretty clean but sometimes you can tell the tables weren’t wiped down but super dirty. I’d totally recommend this place if you like Chinese food.

I give this location one star. The employees are not friendly at all. The «manager» was the worst you could be. I use to work at Panda Express so I know how everything should be. They never have enough food on the steam table or if they do its old or over cooked. There is not enough seating in the store at all. The floor was a mess with cups, toothpicks, and food and when I looked around to see where the employees were they were all in the back talking and playing around instead of being in the dining room cleaning tables and the floor. The manager her name was Belinda was so rude. I asked to get rice instead of chow mein and she rolled her eyes and made an nasty rude face NO MANAGER SHOULD EVER DO THAT. She didn’t care about the job. I saw her arguing and being rude to other customers as well. She should not be working there. The orange chicken was over cooked hard as a rock. I would say no to this location and just drive to the tylersville location it’s much more friendly and clean.

Opened less than a year, but maintains the quality taste of any other Panda express restaurant chain. Would have expected to see more variety, especially the shrimp and spicy items.

This location is consistent with other Panda Express’s. The food is good and cooked consistently. The service is welcoming and quick.

Had lunch here today. My first time eating at a Panda Express. I had honey sesame chicken, grilled teriyaki chicken, and fried rice. It was all very good. Tasted freshly made. The portion is so large, it was impossible to finish. But I’m not complaining about that.
In my opinion, it’s better than the other Chinese places in Mason that we’ve tried. Can’t wait to go back!

It’s nice to have a Panda Express in this area finally. If you’ve never been to one before, don’t worry they don’t actually serve Panda. You’ll find lots of various chicken and beef options. There’s a couple shrimp offerings as well. The other day I learned they have teriyaki chicken. I never knew that! A 2-​item plate is going to be plenty for just about everyone.
I really like the look they went for on the outside and inside of this one. It’s a modern sleek look. I’ve visited 3 times already and each time the place is clean, and the food is fresh. There’s not much worse than getting that bottom of the barrel orange chicken!
There are some high tables and lots of modern red booths for seating inside, and a few permanent tables outside.
This Panda has Pepsi products, so you can drink Mountain Dew with your food, just as the ancient Chinese intended.
