Goldbergs Famous Bagels

For the extra lox and poppy seeds… where else would one go out here?
Goldberg’s with a smile, super friendly guys in here who took great pride in their place.
On the way out after talking good bagels. they sent me out with a complimentary French Toast bagel. Gave it to my friends son… who loved it.
They have a mean poppy, cinnamon raisin, French toast and others will have to try. Lox cream cheese was super.

Read some of the negative reviews, those people are insane, been to just about every bagel place in Suffolk, this place by far has the best bagels in Suffolk county, granted it’s a small place, and if you go there on sat or Sunday morning it’s crowded, but at least your getting a good product, the 2 brothers that own the place are extremely nice and treat customers with respect, they have a great selection of bagels, cream cheeses and they have fresh sliced lox that’s actually as good as any place in Nassau and nyc, prices are fair, but quality is top notch, which is most important, definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes a good bagel

Every time I got a bagel it’s a different price toasted with cream cheese something cheap or 5 bucks I can get egg bacon cheese on a roll for that pissed off

Finally a place to get decent bagels on the north fork. Since living here there have been about 3 bagels places in here and they all were terrible.
Place is extremely small but that’s not fault to them. But please please take something away from your Hampton locations and add a BAGELS ONLY line. You could wait in here for 30 mins to get two bagels and that’s a huge down fall I just walk out when I see the line almost to the door. The workers work extremely slow and can never seem to understand the costumers they need you to repeat the order three times until they understand
Bottom line bagels good service EXTREMELY SLOW. If there’s a line expect to be here a while never mind if you order an egg sandwich. Could be there until the be morning.

I see there is already a review about what I am about to say. I also don’t know her name but the other reviewer thinks it’s Naomi so I will follow suit. RUDE RUDE RUDE!
I love the bagels and I’m sorry to give it such a bad review because of one employee but customer service is key. I don’t need to be praised or bowed down to. But I would like a smile. She is so rude to everyone! It’s time for a desk job because customer service is not your forte!

Ahhhhhhhhh Finally!!!
We have been starved for a good bagel for so long out here. Nice soft bagels that are not too dense or weirdly airy, but just right. We also tried a couple of their cream cheeses (smoked salmon and jalepeno) and they were GREAT!
Bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel was basically perfect.

In terms of bagel shops, Goldbergs ranks slightly better than average when compared to an overall high LI standard. Traditional method, nicely seasoned, good texture and density. Sometimes lacking in cream cheese for a $ 2.50 regular and not always efficient in service, but overall better than standard and the only legitimate bagel in town, or anywhere east for that matter.

This space has been home to several bagel stores in the time we’ve lived in Mattituck. All have been OK but none really good.
My first experience with the chain was in Easthampton last Thanksgiving when our host brought in bagels and smoked salmon the morning after the «feast». The bagels were not tough as is usually the case, and the freshly sliced salmon was buttery and delicious.
The new store in Mattituck in just what the neighborhood needed. The bagels and flagels are texturally wonderful, and the cream cheese mixtures tasty. Bravo Goldberg’s! We’ve got a Sunday morning treat to look forward to.
Of course a shorter line would be nice as it’s always out the door, but I guess that comes with serving stuff that people like!

Finally the North Fork has good bagels. The hobo everything bagel sandwich was great. The bagels are fresh and the service is organized and efficient. They get crowded on weekends so expect to wait. There is some seating but it’s a small location so it’s a tight fit.

I am a cablevision technician who works the north fork everyday not only am I ecstatic about a bagel place being put out here but extremely happy it’s a Goldbergs. This particular Goldbergs not only has extremely friendly staff but they know what they are doing in making fresh deli sandwiches and amazing breakfast sandwiches if I were the employer I’d commend myself in hiring this group to run the new store great spot don’t think twice about going here for breakfast or lunch!!!
