I’ve had breakfast many times here for egg sandwich on the way to golf. Henry, the owner is an old school German style deli owner. Whatever salads, hero makings, desserts, etc, are made there. It’s also a good destination for basic fresh cold cuts like roast beef, turkey, ham, american cheese, etc. It’s as close to the old style deli from my childhood as you’ll find these days. They just can’t go to that place anymore. The old delis were incomparable.

This place looked great so I stopped in to take a look. The owner/manager was very rude when I asked to use the restroom before I purchased anything. I think it is perfectly fine to limit the restroom to paying customers but this gentleman(I use the word loosely) had a very bad attitude — demanding that I order first, then when I couldn’t decide and I mentioned I would first get a drink he said«that’s not going to do it!» and stormed off. Another waiting customer gasped«oh my god» at this outburst. There are lots of cute places on the North Fork. No reason to give this place a try!

This family run deli is what small towns are all about! Home cooked food, generous portions, with just a dash of local craziness and local gossip! Every time I am home on Long Island it is my first stop
