They did a great job on sizing my two new watches and since we couldn’t get a good fit, they didn’t charge me. It wasn’t their fault, more of the watch’s design. I’m definitely going back for other repairs!

I needed a last min ring resizing and they were quick to help me out. I had an antique ring and they were even able to tell me the time era of both the rig and the stone. The ring came out looking great. Super friendly family that is knowledgable and goes the extra mile. Would recommend to anyone.

I definitely recommend checking this place out if you visit Maynard or even live in Maynard .
Their is a unique selection of jewelry, can be fancy or casual .
It would be perfect for even getting a pair of stud earrings or small ring «just because .»
It doesn’t have to be a big deal, birthdays engagement rings, graduations etc.
It’s clearly quality work .
The owners are laid –back, warm, helpful & impressively fast if you order something customized .
I got a large turquoise ring as a sentimental birthday present I picked out the ring & got it 3 days after I requested it, pretty fast ! .
They really know what their doing overall.

I’ve had a couple of watch batteries changed out here and he does a good quick job and a nice price = $ 10. The jewelry selection isn’t large but it is varied. A good amount of vintage and unique pieces across the board.

Richard really knows his craft, and is very helpful if you need direction.
He helped me pick out a great diamond, and we pieced together an engagement ring band and setting that worked best in combination.
He always explains the why, which I like. Guy knows his stuff, and his prices are very reasonable.

After having my first child, my fingers had swollen to the size of sausages, and for some reason I tried to put my rings back on before their size was normal again. Well, I had to get them cut off and was very sad, but my mood got better when Richard promised he would make them better than ever. And he did! He was quick and I feel the price I paid was reasonable. He also sodered my rings together and increased the width of my engagement ring to match my wedding band. Great work, speedy, and worth the price!

I found this place on Unilocal and went there to re-​size my engagement ring. I am very happy that I made the right choice.
My ring was a 7 and I was planning to downsize to 5. But Mr. Goddard persuaded me to make it 4.5. At first I doubted it might be too small, but turned out his suggestion was absolutely right.
He did not just simply cut and fuse the ring at the center, in stead he worked on the flank of the ring and made it very comfortable to wear.
I will definitely recommend him.

Richard is the Man… He will take care of all of your jewelry needs… he will custom make anything and his prices are amazing consider his product is such high quality. He is a straight shooter and I will never go anywhere else for jewelry. He’s the best.

I used to work in Maynard, and not only used Richard Goddard for jewelry repair and ring re-​sizing, but I also had him redesign a Victorian piece to something I wear more often. And lucky me, my husband twice commissioned him to make rings for me from some of the wonderful stones he finds. Warning, if you like to talk about boats and fishing, it may take abit longer to leave his great shop! He’s easy to get to, and there’s always street parking in front or nearby, so we continue to use Goddard, even though we live in Cambridge.

I went there on l lark — looking for an anniversary present — and left with a custom set of earrings ordered — and ready the next day! Outstanding craftsmanship & attention to detail.
He may not have much in inventory of completed jewelry — but he’s got game.
I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for jewelry. I know I’ll go back!

We just had our rings resized here. Mr. Goddard is a local businessman, and we support local businesses. He did a great job with our precious rings.
