Food was excellent. Staff is awesome. So nice to see such good team work. Never had to wait for anything. Steak was one of the best I have ever had. Well worth the cost.

You too can kick yourself for not hearing the advice of other Unilocalers! Stay away from the entrees. Over cooked, over priced, outdated menu… Just not worth the time. I wanted so bad to like it and it’s partially pretty view of the lake. My wife had the chicken special which was just ok. My filet was over cooked which wouldn’t have been a problem if the quality of meat was better grade than dog food. After a watery spinach and artichoke dip, we should have just left. Come drunk and lower your expectations or you too will leave another unsatisfied guest. Server was great but until they update their menu go to one of the much better places locally.

Overpriced food with little flavor. Understaffed, and variable service. Both my husband and I are pretty sure the majority of our dinner was IQF/pre-frozen heat and serve. The positives to this place are a really nice deck and good local tap beer.

We had a large(about 30 person) event and reserved a dining room. Great experience. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Appetizers were all fantastic. Very good salad with tray of delicious dressings. My prime rib was one of the best I’ve ever had. Wife had the chicken picante and loved it. Did not hear a bad word about any of the dishes.

The food is good… sadly the staff is really, really BAD!!! There is no management in sight and the waiters are not properly trained. It’s my 3rd visit(I have family that live here I’m from CA) and I’m reluctant to ever return. We waited a while then caught the waiter’s eye and were seated and completely ignored! One of our party, there were 8 of us, had to get up, find a waiter and still wait for him to come and take our order. There was a looooong wait for the food which arrived lukewarm and not all at the same time… this is a MAJOR fault of a fine dining establishment! No one came to see if we were satisfied or to see if we wanted more drinks or dessert. So very, very disappointed with this place. The owner’s lack of interest in his poorly run establishment is disgraceful and should be attended to asap, he needs to see that his staff are given the proper training so as to justify the high prices he is charging. My suggestion is to wait a few months before going there and see if the owner has made an effort to get his establishment back on track.

I try to dine here whenever I’m in the Chautauqua area. The prices are a bit on the high side, but let’s face it, you’re paying for the location(which is awesome). The upstairs deck has an incredible view of Chautauqua Lake. There are canvas«curtains» which can be let down to cut down on the wind on chilly days. The bar menu is diverse and every dish I’ve ordered has been really good. The servers are friendly and efficient. I wish they had more of a draft beer selection, but that’s me. There’s also a «fine dining» section indoors with a slightly different menu(no sandwiches). On the whole, I recommend it.

Now that our son is grown my husband and I eat out a lot. We have been to some pretty questionable places with questionable food, because let’s face it, the area has a plethora of diners and shops and restaurants. Webb’s is anything but questionable. The wait staff has been terrific each time we gave been there. Have always had everything the way we ordered. We ate there last night and had their B1G1 fish with the coupon. The broiled fish was cooked perfectly without being greasy or burnt and it wasn’t swimming in butter or oil. He had the fish fry and it was also outstanding. The batter isn’t thick so you get fish in each bite instead of just fried batter. The soups are also good. Their soup\sandwich combo is a must try. Vegetable soup is my favorite, but the pumpkin bisque is next on the list! Chances are I’ll be on the deck as soon as it opens too! Bottom line is every meal I have ever had there had been worth every penny!

Have to laugh about this place. My mom and I went here once when I was like 10 years old. That’s 14 years ago. She has since passed on but I remember every time we would come to Chautauqua she would drive by this place and scream«WEBBSWIPOFF!!!»(wannabe version of Rip Off). I can’t disrespect my momma, so had to write the review. To be honest, the food was not that great and for this little dinky(but sweet) town, the prices should have been WAY better.

If I could give this place less than one star I would. To start off we waited to be greeted longer than we should have. So we walked up to the bar where we had to ask for a table. After we were gazed up and down we were told that the«casual» seating was in the bar area. Only the«fine dining» was seated in the dining room. At that point we should of just left but we were Hungary and not from the area and didn’t know where else to go. We sat in a booth in the bar area and ordered two blood Mary’s with grey goose. They came and were awful. Watered down. Over loaded with celery salt. Our server acted like he was bothered when we had questions about the menu. Kristof gave short one word answers and lacks personality when dealing with patrons. I questioned his ingredients for the Bloody Mary and said I was unhappy with it. He offered to put more tomato juice in it. I requested he take out some of the ice as well. He did not. He poured more tomato juice on top and returned it to the table. Did not check to see if I was happy with it. My friend also requested a Pepsi and stated her Bloody Mary was too spicy for her. He did not apologize. He did not ask how he could fix it for her. He did not remove it from the table. And he did not offer to remove it from the bill. Our meals came, her salad was sitting in water, my French onion soup had crunchy onions in them. If I wanted raw onions in a bath of a’jus I could of done that myself at home. Our sandwiches were our only saving grace at this point. I saw no need to further voice our dissatisfaction because nothing was done about our first complaint. We requested the bill. It came and I had to request that the one Bloody Mary was taken off the bill that she was unhappy with.(I used some pepper and horseradish from my sandwich to doctor mine up to make it drinkable.) Kristof informed me that he had to ask a manager. He returned to the table to let us know that he did not charge for the Pepsi but he will now and he originally did not up charge for the grey goose but he will up charge now that we requested the Bloody Mary was removed from the bill. Then proceeded to debate with us about his service. I have been in the restaurant industry for 20 years as a server, bartender and manager. If Kristof was my employee I would fire him. He is rude and lacks personality and courtesy. I will never return to Webbs again due to this experience. Poor service. Over priced And low quality food to boot!

Well … This is a charming place with great food. The Seafood Julienne is NOT julienned but is absolutely fabulous! So wonderful. Onion rolls are awesome. Walleye got great reviews, too. And I loved, believe it or not, the vegetable soup! It was delicious.

Last night, my parents and I ordered burgers to go from Webb’s. They were cooked perfectly to our order and were delicious! I think the bun/roll can make or break a burger and theirs made the burger — so good! I’d definitely go back :)

Nice view of the lake from the second floor deck. Food was just so so and service was terrible. I was alone when I stopped for lunch on the back to Buffalo and watched as other parties were served while I was ignored.

Wait staff is really nice. Food is deadly dull. If it wasn’t for the lack of competition in the area I don’t believe it would have received the higher ratings its gotten here. Fine for burgers and beer but go to Stedman Corners for something more interesting. or even Guppy’s. That has more life.

Young, perky waitstaff, Steven S. was by far the most knowledgable. They have free corkage if you buy wine at a local(many around) winery. If you ever worked a a local lakeside restaurant, then this will take you back to those Summer daze.

Two-part review… my stay at the hotel was comfortable and quiet, although I’m not sure if that would be true in the summer season. I arrived late and was pleasantly surprised that my room key was left on the front desk for me. The rooms could use some updating, especially the baths. The mini golf was a bonus. Had dinner one night with a group. The food wasn’t bad, but could use some fine-tuning in order to align with the high prices. The service could use a little more polish, as well.

This for sure is not the worst place I have ever eaten, but I would never likely go back or recommend anyone else waste their hard earned money there. It is just too dated, and for the price, the quality is just not there. The ambiance is great, but the server I had was rude and inattentive. This place might be good to stop in for a beer, because they do have a large selection, but other than that, there are better restaurants up the road.

While in western New York we decided to try the local tastes. Webb’s is a local resort with decent reviews. The reviews do no justice to the experience that we had. Great food, helpful and attentive staff. Burgers are great, the melt in your mouth variety. The wraps are excellent and are not short on the fillings. Homemade chips are excellent as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Highly recommended.

I go to Webb’s for the bar, and have been doing so for many years. Whenever I’m home, Webb’s has become my second stop after seeing my parents. First off, they have the best beer and wine menu in the area. Ben Webb makes sure of it. They often have nearly 100 beers to choose from, with at least a dozen imports and craft beers on tap in the summer time. The staff is always top notch: friendly and well-trained. This is the bar you go to when visiting Chautauqua when you want to run into people you know from Chautauqua. It’s a resort, so yes, they raise the prices every year. I agree with the review that says they haven’t updated their menu in decades, other than the prices, but part of me appreciates that. They have a menu that they do very well, and have been doing for some time. However, I usually get wings or coconut shrimp and have a few beers while catching up with old friends. Webb’s may be in Mayville, but I consider it a Chautauqua bar. Sometimes they have singer/songwriters performing in the bar area. They’ve an awesome free pool table. In warmer weather, they’ve a lovely upstairs, outdoor deck with gorgeous lakeside views. I’ve rubbed elbows with lots of C-list celebrities there over the years as well, who were in town to perform in Chautauqua. Like I said, anyone who is visiting Chautauqua, and drinks, will end up at Webb’s.

Webb’s suffers from time-warp affliction. For some reason, they just haven’t updated anything in 30 years, including their menu. Well, that’s not absolutely true– the prices have been updated on a yearly basis to a ridiculous level. You’re not getting gourmet food here either– it’s just run of the mill at high price levels. If you stay at Webb’s, prepare for shag carpet and duvet covers that look like they are from the Shining. It’s probably been seven or eight years since I stayed here, but the memory is still vividly burned in my brain. Avoid both the restaurant and the hotel– stay down the street at the new convention center. The one good thing about Webbs is the putt-putt golf that is next to the hotel. It’s the best in the area. So, stay somewhere else and eat somewhere else and then go here to play putt-putt.
