This small family run hole in the wall is a hidden gem for sure.
Fresh made Pozole, menudo, tortas, and tacos are just some of the things you can get here.
Get the horchata to wash it down and you will not be disappointed.

The whole place is a very authentic taqueria, so if that’s what you are going for, this is perfect. As such, it is also very cheap, so you can even get a few small things to try out. My gorditas were great and other dishes I saw looked very good too. I’m definitely coming back

In search of some Mexican sweet breads, we happened upon this place and decided to give it a try.
When you walk in, you can order food like you are at a taqueria on the right, and the pastries are located to the left. When picking pastries, you grab a tray and a set of tongs and proceed to put the items you want.
I usually don’t eat the sweet breads, so I ordered my favorite aqua fresca, horchata. I was disappointed to find out that they don’t make their horchata from scratch and we had to wait several minutes for them to mix it.
While we waited, I looked at the plates of other patrons that were there and had ordered actual food plates. Not gonna lie, they looked pretty good and legit.
My hubby and his parents seemed to really enjoy their sweet bread selections. The hubby even got me to take a bite of one of his that looked like vanilla cake and, for once, I really enjoyed it’s semisweet flavor. My horchata was disappointing and I probably will never order one from here again.
I am giving this place 3 stars because the food plates I saw looked authentic and delicious. In McKinney, finding a good authentic Mexican place has been really hard. When we lived in Garland, there a tons of amazing Mexican establishments that are not only delicious but super cheap.
The hubby and I will definitely be coming back here and I will update my review to see if the food is really as good as it looks.
