Past three times my order has been wrong. Sad but not fond on returning. Maybe if I order it backwards they could get it right.(To go orders)

I highly recommend this place. Born and raised in San Diego good Mexican food in my opinion is not to be found in Dallas except this place. Small and noisy but feels like I’m in Porto Nuevo or Ensenada having a bite!

The taco plate with Chicken on the lunch menu is absolutely out of this world. The in house hot sauces are great as well, both the red and the green. It’s a bit of a dive but it doesn’t take much away from the place because the service has always been good and the food top notch. Unless you want high end pricey Mexican food from somewhere on the square, this is the place to be. Affordable and absolutely delicious.

Service: Can be hit and miss Food: Always outstanding Price: TOPNOTCH Inside: Small but cute I found this place by accident and although it’s a little far out for me now, it used to be a lot closer for me when I lived in McKinney! Now I’m in Carrollton but I still try to visit this place every few months. It’s DELISH! Let’s start with the food — it’s not the typical tex mex! It’s the authentic Mexican food that I would get in Southern California! I usually order al a carte and get the barbacoa tacos with onions and cilantro. They are SOOGOOD! I also order the shrimp tostado which comes with pico de gallo and enough shrimp that many of them FALLOFF the tostada! It’s super good and filling! They bring out the chips and salsa right away and I usually order a side of sour cream because the salsa is a bit too spicy for me. I mix the salsa with the sour cream and it’s PERFECTIONINYOURMOUTH! I’ve even had other people do it, not to cool down the salsa but because it tastes good! I definitely recommend trying it although they will probably charge you for the sour cream, it’s worth it. They have a happy hour on Mon-Thurs and its buy one get one free margaritas which are SUPER good and I think that makes them about $ 2.50 each. I highly recommend this place because it’s delicious, super cheap and the margaritas are really good. Sometimes I’ve had really good service here and other times, I’ve had to wait for a while and try to get someone’s attention to either refill my drink or bring more chips or whatever. Overall I love this place and if I’m craving«home» Mexican food, THIS is definitely the spot to go to. It’s certainly worth the drive from Carrollton now for me :)

Best 1 dollar tacos in the country. Great great dishes. Enchiladas are amazing. Everything is cheap and filling. I love this place and miss it!

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant of all time, anywhere. The food is delicious and fresh, the service is friendly and fast, and the ambiance is authentic and fun. Give this place a try the next time you’re craving Mexican and I guarantee you’ll be a repeat customer. A big plus is the fact that it’s owned by a local family and they are great people that certainly deserve your business! I could go for some huevos rancheros right now. it’s about that time!

really good mexican food in texas. a friend of mine took me here when i told him i wanted real mexican food, not tex-mex. i had the alambres. everything about the dish tasted authentic. i felt like i was back in san diego. but what separates this place from other mexican joints is the refried beans. i can’t pinpoint what it is that makes it different, but it’s better than any other i’ve tried. also, the green chili paste was really good. i think you have to ask for it though. i didn’t see it on any of the tables. it comes in a plastic squeeze bottle. it looks just like crushed green chiles mixed with garlic and a bunch of other stuff. it’s really livens up the food. i also tried the octopus and shrimp tacos because a friend ordered it. not a big fan of cold seafood tacos. octopus was slightly frozen still. also tried the menudo. it tasted a little too authentic for me. chips and salsa were good. it’s a real thin chip. just the way i like it. kind of like chili’s chips.

If you want to be happy, very happy with your meal then try this place. It is real food and the ambiente is authentic. Kick it up a notch by ordering the whole fried snapper or mojarra, both are yummy. Even the chickens are happy that they are served here instead of some phony tex-mex place! And hey, you’re eating with the peeps.(every pun intended)

What a great little place! While waiting for the Franconia Brewing tour to begin last Saturday, my brother-in-law and I stumbled up this cute little building. It only has about 10 or 12 small tables and is smaller than a DQ. Steven had a giant breakfast burrito with chorizo and eggs and I had a couple of breakfast tacos with potato and egg. They were cheap, fresh, packed with goodies and yummy as was the salsa they served with them. After the awesome tour at Franconia(plug plug!), I coerced about 10 of us to go back for lunch. We got the menu which has many choices and several photos of the dishes! Fajitas, street tacos, burritos, a seafood section, 5 soups, desserts and more. I had a campechana, which was basically a shrimp and octopus cocktail served in a parfait glass with saltines(I was thinking Goode Seafood Co from Houston but alas it was different). It was delicious and had no hint of fishiness. The octopus was surprisingly tender; I was expecting it to be a little chewy. I also got to sample a street taco(my name not theirs). It was al pastor served con todo(with onions, cilantro and a wedge of lime). The pork was extremely tender and well seasoned. I also had enchiladas suizas(stuffed with cubed grilled chicken breast covered in white cheese and topped with tomatillo sauce). I thought the dish needed a bit more tomatillo sauce and when I asked for it, the brought me a good sized bowl no charge. It was tangy and delectiable;it did not go to waste! The rice and beans were basic but good. Friends got various taco plates and all looked good. aside form the salsa they served in bowls(with chips), they had 2 other salsas in squit bottles(sort of like El Paisano!). One was a green chile salsa and the other a red salsa made from dried red chilies(many seeds included), water, salt and a little cumino. They were both yummy and had a decent amount of fire. We also noticed on the menu that a 2nd location in Lewisville exists. I’m eager to check it out since I live in Denton. The service was very good, the staff was friendly and the place was clean. The staff came around with pitchers to refill glasses often; including my horchata(a drink made from sweetened rice milk and cinnamon)! As cliché as it may sound; I’ll be back!
