Yesterday I needed an arrangement for my cousin’s memorial service in Vienna. I called Ashley at Gathered Stems and she made my choice very easy and affordable. I phoned and never was placed on hold and the questions Ashley asked regarding times of availability for receiving the flowers were spot on.
I requested an email be sent to me of the flowers because I was sending them in my childrens’ names as well as my own and this way I could share the choice with the family.
The flowers are beautiful. I have never used this nursery before but I like to call a local shop versus paying my money to 1 800 Flowers or some other national vendor. I live in Nevada and just googled florists.
I am grateful for the kind and helpful support of Ashley and Gathered Stems so as to present respectful and beautiful flowers to my cousin’s family. I will call again if the need arises.

I’m an event planner in DC and I’ve used Gathered Stems for numerous private events. My guests always ask me where I got such beautiful flowers. The arrangements are always so unique and different, the flowers are always so fresh, and they last much longer than typical arrangement. Ashley has such a great eye, and I love that the arrangements are always different and always reflect the season. Best flower shop in the DC area by far!

In our house we always have flowers and my husband treats me with lavish bouquets quite often. Last week while at his company HQ in Mc Lean, he asked the HR director for a good florist and she suggested Gathered Stems.
He came home with a beautiful yellow roses (my favourite colour) composition.
The arrangement was beautiful, full and the quality of the flowers outstanding.

I have used Gathered Stems for many occasions — my wedding, funerals, mother’s day, etc. They have always been courteous, listened to what I want, and provided suggestions within budget and to my taste. They always use the highest quality flowers that are gorgeous and unlike anything I’ve seen elsewhere. The owner/​designer is very knowledgeable about flower varieties, and knows what is appropriate for different occasions (how flowers will hold up, etc.). She always designs something that has unique touches that you don’t see from other florists, yet is still elegant, tasteful and beautiful. I always get compliments on the flowers from here and I will continue to use Gathered Stems and recommend them to everyone!

Used Gathered Stems for my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah. We had centerpieces as well as flowers for the Bimah at the temple.
One word, OUSTANDING! They had to make deliveries on two separate days and showed up on time with the most gorgeous flower arrangements.
From the beginning they were a dream to work with. They listened to the details of the event, the theme, the colors and we came up with a game plan for the flowers. They had great ideas for the types of flowers and colors for the arrangements.
The arrangements were spot on what we had discussed and the quality of the product was amazing. They centerpieces lasted for weeks after we took them home.

Her designs have the look and feel of a high end hotel arrangement and her deep knowledge of her materials comes thru in the sustainable arrangements she creates! I always squee a little bit when the front desk notifies me that I have flowers waiting for me, because everyone knows to exclusively use Gathered Stems!

I order all my flowers for friends and customers from Gathered Stem. They made an arrangement in a wire baby carriage for my daughter’s shower. It was so gorgeous my daughter-​in-​law wanted they same for her shower. Everyone is bowled over by the unique arrangements. They make beautiful silk flower arrangements for decoration too! Wouldn’t go anywhere else. Ashley knows exactly what to do every time.

I was so pleased with Gathered Stems’ expertise and design savoy in creating a variety of beautiful fresh flower arrangements for my sister’s bridal shower. They knew exactly what I wanted for a champagne and tea sandwiches event in celebration of a new beginning. They incorporated bright spring colors to compliment the pastel and paisley décor; adding creative decorative touches to give it a spa-​like feel. These unique flowers arrangements transformed a bare-​walled interior, that went through renovation, into an elegant, sophisticated affair among ladies who appreciate ambiance and the beauty of outdoors. I went back to Gathered Stems for my holiday needs. They were so easy to work with and so patient. They custom designed a wreath with my favorite holiday colors, and added some unique touches of ethnic inspired ornaments, which made it stand out. I got many compliments!

This place is not just your average flower shop, the designs that come from here have a real taste of personal creativity. I hired them for my daughter’s first birthday, my cousin’s bridal shower and several other family occasions, each arrangement for the separate events had its own unique style and I really appreciated the professionalism of the staff. They were on time with everything and even if the food caterer or DJ messed up at my parties, it did not matter because my home looked so beautiful with this décor. Definitely use Gathered Stems for your next event at home or for a delivery to your loved one, you will not be disappointed!
