I was here visiting for work. I love sushi and get it in every city I go to. The seaweed salad was OK, and the Golden dragon roll was OK as well. But DONOT get the spider roll. If there was ever a fast food restaurant for sushi that would be the quality of their spider roll. It had no flavor and looked over fried.

My goal is to try everything on the menu because what I’ve had so far is amazing. New style sashimi, fortune, kanki, paradise, bonanza, earth and Chester rolls are amazing. Don’t skip the spicy edamame and spicy calamari!

Two words: Fortune Roll. If you get the chance to try it, you will be so FORTUNate! Ask for eel sauce and extra ginger!

Best sushi in the RGV. My favorite rolls are ebi crunch and cosmos roll. I usually start my meal with fried calamari. The calamari is a tad spicy and taste great. Parking close to the restaurant can be a problem during busy hours but there is plenty of parking around the area. Staff is usually pretty nice and friendly and service is quick from my experience. I usually have the my rolls with their eel sauce which makes the rolls extra tasty.

Growing up in the valley, this was my first sushi experience. While I have found better sushi all over the world, Kumori holds up surprisingly well amongst some of the best I’ve had. The roll selection is huge and unique. The fish fresh and tasty. And Kumori rice with lemon soy sauce? You can’t beat that. Hands down, it is one of my favorite dishes on earth!

Lunch was great. Yaki soba chicken Picasso roll, philidelpha roll, and crunch roll were all great. We had an excellent waitress that really knew how to do her job. She was Polite, helpful and always making sure if their was anything we needed.

Just a tad crowded, but overall great experience. Fast, friendly service, excellent sushi, nicer ambiance than you’ll find in other places in the RGV. We had the Kanki and Godzilla rolls with pork dumpling apps. Very fresh and delicious food with beautiful presentation. No wait at 12:30 p.m. on a Wednesday :)

Horrible service. I was there with a friend on 5÷19÷13 and I must say I had the most uncomfortable experience. The waiter forgot to enter my friend’s order of edamame and a roll she had ordered. I received my food but the roll had no taste. My friend asked the waiter about her order and he just snapped and told her it wasn’t his fault that they didn’t make her food, and he blamed the chefs, so rude. He came back and told her again that it wasn’t his fault, and that the chefs were working on her order. When she received her roll(50 minutes later) it fell apart as she was trying to eat it. He brought her the edamame when we were about to leave, since he didn’t bring them as an appetizer we thought he had cancelled the order, but no, again he blamed the people in the kitchen, how irresponsible. I used to like this place, I have no idea what happened to Kumori, but the management should pay close attention to what’s going on in the restaurant and make some changes if not the restaurant will fall apart. I am never going back to that location.

Food was great, no problem there, but our waiter did not have any social skills, lol. From banging beverages on the table to his throwing of plates in the bus tub loudly to his indifference to us and no friendly tone at all. I guess nobody has complained and neither did I but I’d go back and MAKE sure I don’t get him again. :) Great good, Bad Experience
