Sat at a table for 10 minutes and never had anyone greet me. Everyone was just standing around bullshitting. They need some type of hostess or something because this is the second time the whole«seat yourself thing» has backfired on this establishment for me. So sad because the food is so good. Service needs work. I never complain but after 2 times in 3 weeks I’m annoyed.

I had a the baby back ribs with cole slaw and charro beans. I really liked that their coleslaw was fresh and crunchy, and lightly dressed. Instead of white bread they serve honey wheat breat which is a healthier option than the white. Service was prompt and no wait time really. The ribs were so good that I will defenetely will be coming back next time I am in the mood for good BBQ.- 2 thumps up!

Authentic Texas Bbq. I like the spare ribs and the baby backs on Saturdays. My parents love the fried catfish. The salads are good and so is the fajita. For sides I recommend charro beans and coleslaw. The peach cobbler is great and the ice cream is homemade. You should try it.

Not many restaurants actually live up to the slogan they have but this really does just taste better. This is one of my favorite places to eat and I recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience

Favorite place for brisket sandwiches! The fajitas and ribs are delicious as well. And if you’re going there, be sure to try the peach cobbler with a side of ice cream. THE best peach cobbler you’ll get anywhere!

The fried catfish is usually quite good. I’ve also tried sliced brisket and recommend. Tried the chop brisket once but found it too fatty/gristly. Sides like cole slaw(always very fresh), beans, potato salad and French fries are all favorites.

I have had other things there, not bad . The ribs… nasty. Even though the manager/owner came out to personally show me that the ribs were falling off the bone, and squishing the rib meat to show me they were done… I was TRYING to explain they did not taste done, and were NOT smoked, still had wiggly fat, and tasted weird. Before I returned, I had my friend in the office taste the ribs, and he said the same thing. The fries were completely undercooked, soft and greasy, even though I asked for crispy. Things happen, but his smug attitude lost a customer.

Was told by our waiter that they did not have moist brisket!!! She was very rude and seemed like she did not want to attend us. Not sure if in fact they do not have moist brisket but if they don’t then it’s not a real bbq joint.

Got the chopped brisket sandwich and could not tell what part of the animal I was eating. In fact — not sure what kind of animal it was. Interestingly, a group of guys were walking out as I was leaving and one professed to the other, ‘mental note to self… don’t eat at Lone Star BBQ’ in a tone mixed with distress, disappointment, anger, regret all rolled into one… Save your palette and money for something better.

As soon as I walked into this place I knew it would be good. Fall off the bone ribs. Real sweet tea. The chopped brisket is life changing. I wish I had discovered this place sooner not the day before I leave Texas.

Everytime I visit the valley with my bf, his family always take us here! Today I ordered the lean chopped brisket sandwich and a potato salad! the sandwich was delicious! I was so full! the potato salad was missing an ingredient or two. It was a bit bland… but regardless bbq is always good here!

The best baby back ribs in town!!! Only available on Saturdays worth the wait for the craving. Delicious sides– try the rice and beans — mixed!!! Yum. Awesome food and service– prices are very reasonable.

I like this place! if your looking for a good inexpensive BBQ lunch or dinner then this is your place. I’ve had the brisket, ribs and a few of their sandwiches. The brisket could have a bit more bark on it which would probably make it better. The potato salad isn’t very good but the sweet tea makes up for it. Make sure you get half sweet half not or else you’ll be drinking pure sugar. I go here every once in a while and the service is great every time.

They have great bbq down here. The chopped brisket was juicy and the chicken was tender and flavorful but not overly so. We had green beans, fried okra, and hush puppies that were all very good and homemade. Also, they had great service and the atmosphere is country and cozy. Will definitely be coming back here for date nights and good BBQ.

Half chicken, rice, and beans is my go to choice here. I’ve enjoyed the pork loin which is only available on Wednesday. On my most recent trip I had the brisket which was flavorful but a little dry. My wife said the salad was fine, but I noticed a puddle of water at the bottom of the bowl. The baked potatoes are as big as a small dog and paired with the chopped brisket makes a nice meal. Overall, I am rarely disappointed here. In years past it was a regular lunch spot. I’ve moved so it has become a weekend and dinner stop.

They have the best chopped brisket sandwiches! Very lean, and the BBQ sauce is perfectly sweet! The buns are also extremely delicious, I could just eat them by themselves! Always pleased! One of my favorite places for sweet tea as well and they bring it to you in huge glasses!

I grew up eating BBQ all my life so it’s not something that I seek out, ever. However, my mom and sister wanted to trek to this little joint and I was glad that we did. Mom and I shared a deliciously flavored, moist, juicy, brisket sandwich. I would definitely recommend this place to any BBQ lovers in the area. The fries were hand cut and fried – a little on the soggy side, but the meat made up for the fries. I’d order the sandwich again, given the opportunity.

I know it says BBQ but this place makes the best fried catfish in the Valley. If you haven’t tried it you are missing out.

Holy COW this is good BBQ! Came to Texas for work, so I had to try it. Reviews for here looked good, even though it’s a total dive.(Pretty sure that’s a theme though, for BBQ in Texas?) Had the meat platter w/lean brisket and pork ribs. Potato salad & green beans. Each item was ridiculously fantastic — I wanted to rub it all over myself. Each new thing was better than the last, so I had peach cobbler ala mode. Wow. After rolling myself out of here, I’m going to enjoy my food-induced coma.
