Dice el sabio dicho… Al ojo del amo, engorda el caballo. Propietarios de este reataurant: no dejen su negocio en manos de los empleados Bad experience, I came with my kids on my son’s bday and we all agreed on the same thing. Chef doesn’t even know how to do Makis(rolls) plus they’re just made of rice and so poor portion of fish. They’re huge so they don’t fit in your mouth you have to bite just half of it and it’s a disaster. My niece ended up eating her Earth Roll with a fork ’cause they were not tighten like it should be Sushi at HEB is way better than these rolls… go figure Won’t be coming back of course

You can build your own bowl or rolls so you can’t go wrong! The place looks aesthetically pleasing and I recommend sitting in one of the booths to get that Tokyo feel. Our server, Osiris, was very nice and helpful. Best sushi place I’ve been to so far in McAllen.

Just really happy with the whole experience and sushi we had here. We’ve been on a road trip for the past 3 weeks and just have been unimpressed with anywhere we have ate. From the minute we walked in until we left the service was great. The sushi was well prepared, fresh and great value for money. We were served by Jacqueline M. Who was very attentive and did a wonderful job of describing what Lucky Sushi was offering and how to order. If half the staff is as good as her, Lucky Sushi is truly lucky. Stop by for lunch you can’t go wrong here!

Great place for sushi! Staff is really friendly and the place has a nice ambiance. One of my favorite rolls is the lucky sushi roll. I use eel sauce mixed with lemon soy to dip my rolls and its mighty tasty! Kumori is still my favorite sushi place in the valley but this place is pretty nice.

I don’t write reviews ever… it has to either be an amazing experience or a horrible ordeal… in the case of lucky sushi it was the latter. First, the concept is dumb where you have to make your own sushi using limiting number of different fish and toppings(each costing extra of course). I ordered a bowl and a roll and I was amazed how much rice versus actual fish there was. You get two thinly sliced pieces of fish(not even fresh) on top of a massive bowl of rice for $ 12. Each«sashimi» bowl comes with 4 slices of fish. I eat chirashi bowls all over America and get 12 – 14 pieces for less than $ 20 at most places… at lucky sushi I had about 3 – 4 pieces of fish and paid $ 24 for myself. Good luck lucky sushi you’ll need it to stay in business. Tokyo sushi right down the street is a million times better idk why I decided to try something new… lesson learned.

New in town and lucky to have found a great sushi place on our first try. We had 3 different rolls, all very tasty! Tuna bites are a must have! Excellent service. Definitely will be back…
