We came in around 11:30& weren’t quite sure if the restaurant was opened, but it was. Menu board is deceiving… you think you can look at it & order from it, but you need to look at the illuminated«speciality today» black board. What’s on the board is what they have in stock. The person who helped us was helpful, but I was disappointed when I learned that something he suggested they ended up not having. Kids ordered Soy based mango shakes & loved them. We ordered chicken & green sauce tamales & a side salad. Tamales are large, but mostly masa and not full of chicken or flavor-very bland. The green sauce served with it was flavorful though. The corn masa is white w/out spices & I believe made with a vegetable based oil. I don’t know that I would come back for tamales, but for the mango shake-definitely!

This place is like a diamond in the rough in the Valley, as there are very few restaurants that serve purely vegetarian and vegan food(and tamales at that!). I tried the bean tamales and the tamales with soy and vegetables, and both were excellent. They tasted fresh and had a great texture, and didn’t feel greasy at all. Best of all, the tamales were filling and I was satisfied after eating about three of them. The sauces that accompanied the tamales had a nice kick. I haven’t tried any other menu items, but I am sure that they are also great. I’m really happy that a place like this exists in the Valley, and will definitely be a regular customer.

Bought a half dozen Spinach/Cheese and half dozen vegetable tamales. Three people have tried them and«these are delicious» is the verdict. Plus 99% natural and all vegetarian. Kickin’ it!
