Benny’s has the best bagels and breakfast sandwiches. We go there many mornings before school. The family who owns this location is very nice as well.

First timer here! Solid bagel shop. I got the Asiago with jalapeño spread and it was delicious. Just the right amount of cream cheese to bagel ratio. Man child got a plain with plain(boring) and loved it. He said it’s definitely an authentic type of NYC bagel, so I’ll take his word. The guy behind the counter was extremely friendly and very nice and didn’t rush me or make me feel bad for taking forever to decide(there was no line, otherwise I would have moved… promise!) and two bagels were $ 5.40. It was on par with what I pay at Einsteins. We don’t get bagels often, so this was a nice little treat. Highly recommend giving it a try. I can’t wait to try the garlic cheese spread next!

Solid four stars. I think I come here once a year… The last time I came, I had been craving a true New York bagel. The special on the board at the time was the Chicken Cordon Bagel Sandwich. When I walked in today and saw the exact same thing on the board again as the special, I chuckled. I have mixed feelings about this place. The bagel is chewy, flavorful, and semi-reminiscent of that NYC style. Definitely a great attempt and deserves repeated visits. The people are nice and when you register with your phone number, they give you freebies! What’s not to like? My not-so-great feelings towards this place is the delivery of the product. I ordered the Chicken Cordon again(almost like my anniversary order heh) and the sandwich was just falling apart. The sad lettuce leaves and tomato slice seemingly drenched my sandwich, leaving some wet paper wrappings in its wake. So-so flavors overall. I think I would enjoy the breakfast choices a lot more and I’m looking forward to coming back(a free bagel and cream cheese to redeem next time!). Just have to be not tempted to order the Chicken Cordon again…

Super friendly staff and I love the atmosphere. I got the blueberry bagel with honey walnut spread and it was amazing. And what’s not to love about free coffee refills!

I enjoy this location as well as the one on Alpha and Midway. Yummy bagels. Chi tea. Great on cold days.

The Benny’s Breakfast is my go-to all around favorite item on the menu. I love the homemade jalapeño cream cheese spread and usually end up bringing some home for later.(Yes! It’s THAT good.) The place is family-owned and has lots of smiles for free. I’ve been a regular since 2005 or so. If there’s a line, don’t fret. It’s totally worth the wait and the counter staff keeps things moving quickly. There’s a donut shop a few doors down if you’re hankering for something sweet, too.

Maybe the rude Yankees should stay up north? We don’t really talk to people like that in the south! Benny’s has the best bagels in town. Always served with a smile and a warm hello, even when the line is out the door. I get a dozen whenever my kids have sleepovers. We are so lucky to have Benny’s in the neighborhood! Thank you!

The food is fresh and the owner is always very nice. It can get busy so be patient as they make your sandwiches as you order. They have a good variety of bagels and cream cheeses to choose from. We go here often for breakfast.

Last time we were here was 2009 until today 9-14-2015 at 10:30am however I had forgot why we had not been in so long. Today ordered cinnamon raisin bagel did not have got chocolate chip covers in garlic cream cheese(ordered regular chream cheeze). Cream cheeze was put on so damn thick could not taste chocolate chips lol. Also ordered a mocha coffee, they forgot went back to get it after 15 mins got 7 – 11 tasting hot chocolate no Java what so ever. Tina ordered Lux everything bagel were out of everything bagel had to go multi-grain, ordered Chia tea they had no options except Dairy so we canceled the Chai tea lol. Place is small and had a steady flow of traffic. Have to really fight to get a seat. I’m not one to public post bad experiences however I would not recommend the McKinney location to anyone 1. Bad Service 2. Over priced 3. Don’t stock enough 4. Extremely low grade tier 1 coffee Quick trips is better then this mess. So word to the wise go some where else.

I felt the need to edit my review after our recent experience earlier this week. I’m going to assume that these are new owners and therefore, the first time in years I was disappointed with their service. The lady serving the line came off a bit rude while taking my order. While I was waiting to pay, I watched the man cooking the bagels continually wipe his hands not on his apron but on his jeans. Then he came right over and handled the money and register and again, went right back to making the bagels. He also took a bag of frozen bagels and pounded them on the floor. That’s not really what you want to see while dining. My family and I have been going here for years. The bagels are delicious and breakfast sandwiches never disappoint!

Good if you’re looking for fresh bagels. Not sure I would go for the microwaved egg breakfast sandwich again. It was okay but eggs were way too hot and rubbery.

Great locally owned bagel shop. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating with any switches/special things you want in your food. I also appreciate that they don’t skimp on ingredients. I got the veggie wrap and it was great(had avocados!) but just a tad too much vinagrette so it got a little soggy towards the end. Also the coffee is verrrryyyyy strong.

Great bagels which are boiled then baked. Free food via their loyalty kiosk. Long lines on the weekends but that’s because they’re so GOOD!!!

Exactly what I have been looking for in a bagel shop. I wish I lived closer. Great prices and great bagels. I only purchased to go but it is a cute little shop to eat breakfast in.

I’m from N.Y. And these are nowhere near new york style bagels. They are flat and mushy they have an everything bagel and n_y_c bagel I asked what the difference was and the person said n_y_c bagel has onion and garlic on it. That is what a everything bagel is supposed to have on it. I guess for the people who say it’s great have never really had a bagel blows my mind. Even more crazy are the supposed people from new york saying this is as close as it gets. The NY deli news on preston brings in there bagels from new york

Great bagels, very nice and friendly staff! This is my goto place for great bagels and cream cheese. They don’t skimp on anything. Their breakfast bagels are delicious. Having read some of the negative reviews, I can tell you that If an employee is rude tell the owner, it won’t happen again! I have never had anything but excellent service from this shop.

Great, locally owned bagel shop that provides both bagels by the dozen, and little bagel breakfast sandwiches. The owner and his wife were both nice when I went and I kind of wished I’d had the time to just sit and hang out and drink coffee. It’s quiet and tucked into the shopping center that the 7 – 11 with Popeye’s inside and a Run On! I liked my bagel sandwich a lot, but fair warning it was SCORCHING hot. As in, I lost a layer of skin in my mouth because I wanted to eat it so badly. Ha! So, check your bagel before you bite in but definitely enjoy their yummy breakfasty goodness and the thrill that comes from shopping local.
