Come on guys! I drove out of my way to get a catfish dinner. I arrived at 5 and got the three piece. I guess I should have checked it out but this fish had been cooked hours ago and had been held all afternoon. It was luke warm and chewy; extremely disappointing. My dogs had a nice fish dinner but I’m still hungry. Not sure when or if I will make the drive there again. Guess the moral is to check your food before you leave the drive thru and make sure its up to standards.

I love Chicken Express but am terribly(overly disturbed by this) upset that a regular tea is $ 2.15 at this location. Every other location I’ve been to, it’s $ 1 even. Like I said, I’m probably overly upset about this but for them to charge over 100% more than every other Chicken Express is just strange. Buyer beware.

Very good, hand breaded chicken. All their food always tastes very fresh. Their sides are excellent… yummy jalapeño poppers, corn nuggets, fried okra and fries. My only complaint is that they don’t have Diet Coke. They only carry Coke Zero.

Nothing special about this place. Just a normal fast food chicken place. They do not offer spicy fried chicken. It’s about average in price, cost $ 6 for 2 legs and a thigh. I haven’t tried any of their sides. I’d get it again if it’s on the way, but nothing I’d make a trip for.

I just left a very negative review for another Chicken Express location on Custer, but THIS Chicken Express sets the standard for the rest! Their chicken strips are the best around, always done perfectly, sides are wonderful and the service is beyond excellent. EVERY time. Very, very consistent. There are always extra chicken fingers thrown in, too, and they make GREAT school lunches for the kids when I am in a rush. They re-heat great in the microwave. I had never heard of a corn nugget and tried one the last time we were there… amazing! Who’d of thought? Oh and if you love sweet tea, this is the place. I wish it were closer to where I lived, but I will drive past the one on Custer to come to this one. Absolutely worth it.

Everything is definitely good, but I wish they had a salad. My son loves the catfish here and begs to come, since it is on our way home from school. The downer is everything is fried. So, if you looking for yummy fried foods, you are in luck. The corn nuggets are my favorite.

The problem with this place is that it is too close to Boyd High School. My daughter and her clan of friends like to play hooky and go over quite a bit. Unfortunately, it is a good way to the detention hall. Frankly, I like the fried chicken and fish. That have a lot of different options. The food is great. It tastes good. The service is quick and the place is clean. I think they have been open for only a couple of years. My suggestion is to avoid the noon hour because a lot of students go here. I have a hard saying no to this place. It is too close to my house and it is very handy to just go through the check out.

My family and I eat here at least a couple times a month. Love the food and if you go inside, they give you a bit more fries and extra biscuits. I usually go through the drive-thru(my husband takes the kids inside when it’s just them) and have had great customer service except recently(Friday night). I didn’t have this guy before, but he handed me an overflowing soda that ran down my arm and got on my seat. He didn’t put my box in a bag and when I asked for a napkin to wipe my cup off and then a bag, he(w/out apology or saying anything) handed me a small bag that didn’t even fit my box of food. He looked like he could care less. Any other time, there’s been a young girl and another guy, and they have been polite and handed me my food in a bag big enough to fit the box. Other then that 1 experience(out of many!), it’s been a good one. Hopefully he was just having a bad day b/c if he’s there regularly and acts like that, I’ll take my business somewhere else.

The food is always fresh and hot! And they have the best sweet tea ever. The chicken strips are my favorite.

It tastes so good, but definitely not good for you. The only two main items I’ve ordered are the chicken strips and fried catfish, so I can’t speak to the chicken pieces. Their tenders are great and every side I’ve ever tried is good. I only wished this location served a biscuit with the meal instead of a roll. My favorite thing about this and all other Chicken Express’ I’ve been to is that you always get at least one extra chicken tender thrown in. Just a happy surprise to get more than you ordered. Oh, one tip. Get some Serendipity seasoning and put it in your gravy. It’s adds some nice flavor anything you dip in it.

Do you like your local chicken shack? Do you like the idea of corn that is battered and fried into a bite-sized nugget? Does the concept of a 64 oz. soda that comes with a handle get you a little giddy inside? Then you’ll probably love Chicken Express. It’s not even that the food is amazing, they really don’t even flavor their chicken(which is juicy and well cooked, but normal), but they have a lot of side options that make it easy and affordable to create an insta-meal on your way home. They have some unique options too such as their corn nuggets and fried okra which you don’t always see outside of a restaurant, and that’s enough to get it an A-OK in my book.
