Discovery At Rowlett Creek Apartments

I want to start off with saying that I don’t live here, but have toured the property and my experience was fantastic. I work in the apartment industry and was extremely impressed by the quality of service and the quality of their product.
Jessica led the tour and was very personable and answered all of my questions perfectly. The clubhouse/​office area is beautiful, as well as the pool and cabana areas. I loved the gym. Tons of nice equipment, mirrors, and space. An added bonus is the cardio area. They have an automated system that you can choose workouts from that will lead you in your workout in a separate cardio room. That would make me want to do cardio!
The apartment itself had fantastic features. All of them complimenting each other. The full size washer and dryer is a plus, and the fact that it’s in the bathroom and doesn’t take away from living space is great. Closet size is phenomenal, and the storage on the patio is a huge plus.
Again, I don’t live here, but from working in the industry I would say that if someone had an issue with, say, some grease still being on their microwave, it would be fixed if it was brought to management’s attention. Mistakes can happen.
Discovery @ Rowlett Creek is a fantastic and beautiful apartment community. It’s possible at some point in the future that I might be writing a review after moving in after the experience I had thanks to Jessica and the quality of the community.

DO NOT MOVE HERE! SEE BELOW:
Definitely got the wrong apartment (prior tenants trashed the place) coupled with the fact that we encountered the WORST MOVE-​IN EXPERIENCE EVER in 19 years! The place was never cleaned before move-​in and there is grease everywhere! Showed all pictures to the TAA in Austin and believe me they want to know every detail of our situation. Should have had access to the apartment first; absolutely hate it!
We had this complex on our short list and we should have opted for the Estates of McKinney which actually had an attached garage below the unit. We thought the layout was more conducive picking this place.
1. The people above us are not only VERY rude, they walk VERY heavy and make so much noise banging and slamming things — keeping us up well past 12 midnight– 1am every single night!!! Then at 4am they start all over again. Never met them. Complex is poorly constructed; that’s a fact! We live on the first floor. Bad idea!
2. GREASE GREASE GREASE EVERYWHERE! Permeates through the whole apartment. The cabinets above the stove have grease caked on as well. Won’t come off. Microwave had grease caked on it and underneath! Had to be replaced. We’ve been here for not even 1 week and started to get bugs migrating to the kitchen. Cabinets smell pretty bad as well.
My wife refuses to cook because the stench is still nauseating! She is pregnant and that’s a major concern. See pics. Why would they move us in a dirty apartment?
3. We were promised a garage right across from our apartment. Never were notified that it wasn’t available the day we moved in. It was taken. Really?
Did we pick the wrong place to live? I believe so.

I love this place. The staff is great! Maintenance takes care of all my requests. I love my apartment! Is spacious and location is great! The outdoor kitchen is nice as well as the pool area and game room. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to live!

Discovery at Rowlett Creek is a wonderful complex to live in! The staff is very nice and friendly. The complex has a pool, a dog park, and a play area for kids. The apartments come with a washer and dryer, and have stainless steel appliances. It is a nice complex, and i haven’t had many issues with noise. It is water and energy efficient, so utilities are lower than other places. There is always plenty of parking, no matter what time you get home from being out. Really my only complaint is that the parking lots are not very well lit, and the AC unit is louder than I would like. Overall, I have really enjoyed living in this complex.
