Good to great food. Good to great service. Comments on my last visit on 6⁄25 Wings seemed to be getting smaller. Buns on my sliders were over toasted and a little black. Did not tell anybody as wife hates it when I do.

Place has really gone downhill. Used to get hot delicious wings and cold beer with a smile and fast service. Now would rather eat cold KFC, drink water and serve myself. Last several times said I’d give it one more chance and now I’m done. I honestly could have ordered beer from home 15 minutes away and still would not have been delivered. .cold either. Supposed to be sports bar and Tvs on Home Shopping network or crap like that half the time. Went in recentlly to watch a playoff game and told we could not because of ufc fight. Only asked for one tv. Manager an idiot. You ask them change it and they either don’t or it takes 30 minutes. Old management and staff was average at best a couple years ago but current staff not worthy of McDonalds. See you at Twin Peaks.

I’ve been to Hooters all over this state and this location was hands down, the worst one we have ever been to. I don’t know how you screw up the classic breaded hot wings but they did. The breading was awful and moist and didn’t even taste what I expect from their hot sauce flavoring. Place was clean and restroom was spotless but restaurant was about ¼ full on a Wednesday night and our service sucked. I think our waitress was having a bad day or she really didn’t want to be there. I had a party of 6 and we all felt the cold shoulder. Sad thing is, the hostess had the same attitude so maybe they were all ticked off at the fact they were so slow. Either way, a change in attitude and energy would do wonders for that place. We won’t be going back to this location! I’d rather drive to Plano or Frisco.

This location the service is horrible. The other locations are better. Getting seated was easy because hardly no one here but to watch the free tv

I love this location! The girls are really friendly and pretty! I always have a good time when I’m here. I know they’re famous for their wings, but the seafood is awesome

We ordered wings with Medium Sauce and were given barely warm with NO sauce at all. When we told the waitress she argued that they are cooked in the sauce. There was NO sauce on them. She brought us a cup of their sauce that looked like curdled cheese of some sort. The sandwich was not cut as requested… had to ask for silverware… and had to ask for a plate. I will NEVER recommend this location to anyone and we will not be back. I will say that the manager stepped up and brought us more wings. But sadly after seeing the curdled cheese«sauce» they use, lost my appetite.

What they really lack here is teamwork. When presented with a large party the staff does not provide and is not given direction from management to work together to provide service. If you don’t require your staff to provide top rate service as a team by working together it just simply will not happen. Shame on you managers

Amazing how just unfriendly the male hostess and waitress were on this visit. First time to this location and will be last.

As a regular at this Hooter’s, I will say that at times the service has been a little to be desired. I came in today to watch my favorite NFL team as it was not on national tv. I want to give them this review for the followings reasons. On a major sport Sunday, they had 3 girls not show up for work, which left 3 girls on the floor, 1 behind the bar, and Jay, the manager on duty. The 5 of them and the cooks all did a great job of taking care of all the customers. Ashley, my server, although very busy the entire time, was always smiling and never complained. Super Job. Thanks to Ashley, Jordan, Kinsey, Courtney, Jay and the cooks for working their butts off, and some nice ones at that, except Jays.

Several months ago things just got better. They upped their game w/the wings big time. They are now the biggest and juiciest wings in McKinney. The mgr noticed that I’ve been in a few times and came by – just being polite. I told him that I really liked the wings and he told me they had some issues with their suppliers. They are now using fresh vs frozen and the jumbo size. I’m certainly not the only one noticing, it’s been packed the last few times I’ve been there.

So tonight is my first time ever to step foot into a Hooters. I’m not against them at all and have always heard how good the wings and servers are — it just never came up before. But tonight I am here with the boyfriend to watch UFC fights. The place is half empty. I’ve NEVER been to a bar or restaurant on fight night that wasn’t packed! Now we know why. Nobody was at the front desk to seat customers so after several minutes of waiting, the boyfriend seated himself. The assistant manager(we think) made a snarky remark about him liking the table but then walked off. Still waited quite awhile after that to have a waitress come by for our drink orders, as they all seemed more interested in flirting with other patrons and socializing with each other(including a little spat in the kitchen between a waitress and cook involving very colorful language) than actually waiting tables. I’ve seen only 2 people smile at us since we’ve been here. The others seem miserable. I didn’t eat anything so I can’t comment on the food but the attitudes and service were so bad I don’t see us coming back here anytime soon. Not to mention, the boyfriend said the men’s room was filthy with urine all over the floor. Towards the end of the night, the BF caught the manager to tell him about the men’s room situation. He sent a young man from the kitchen to take care of it. After about 30 seconds, the young man left the men’s room trailing a dripping mop behind him through the main eating area of the restaurant. Gross, just gross! It’s really a shame. The location is great for us and would have made a nice new place for us on UFC fight nights.

Last time we were here we had a fine experience. This time was really bad. We’ll probably go to a different location next time. We were greeted promptly and asked for a booth. I overheard the hostess mumble about someone being pissed and said she had just sat 2 booths before us. We were seated in a booth as requested and a waitress came over to tell us she was not our waitress but was helping ours out and would take our drink orders. I then understood our waitress had just had 3 tables in a row sat in her section. BF ordered Dr Pepper and I ordered their standard margarita on the rocks, without salt(forget the exact name). What seemed like a long time went by, and our server came by with our drinks. My margarita was red. This seemed wrong. I told her so, and showed her what drink I ordered in the menu, but she did not have the knowledge of the menu to know if it was wrong or not. She went to ask the bartender and came back to tell me it was what I ordered. I again told her a regular margarita is not red, and it appears some flavoring was added(you could make it berry, strawberry, etc. for an extra charge). She seemed exasperated, not at us, but because she was busy, someone else had taken our order, and the bartender did not make the drink correctly. We put in an order for fried pickles(to come out first), hot buffalo shrimp with extra blue cheese, and an order of samurai flavored wings and fries with ranch. When my server brought a correctly made margarita, it was so gross I couldn’t drink it. It was super sweet and tasted like a disgusting, cheap margarita mix. I felt badly telling our server but did so nicely and asked for a water. When I got the water, it had a weak lemon flavor, like it had come out of the same dispenser as lemonade. So gross, I couldn’t drink that either. Our appetizer and meals all came out at once. It is a huge pet peeve of mine when a server does not know how to properly time food, and even then, didn’t seem to realize her error in bringing everything out at once! I did not get an extra blue cheese, even though later we were charged for it. My boyfriend did not get ranch either. The fried pickles were okay and were a huge portion. Buffalo shrimp were awesome and I wish I’d ordered more. Fries were good, wings were okay too. I could see our server was having trouble with most of her tables, and she was really busy. I think it was really the kitchen and bartender’s fault, and they were not setting her up for success. While we were there, we observed the bartender sitting on the bartop, leaning over a man sitting at the bar, along with another waitress. I never actually saw her make a drink. Imagine my surprise when the man sitting at the bar being hung on by the employees was actually the manager! When he was called to a table to address a food issue, it didn’t look as if he properly handled the issue. My margarita was removed from the bill but the manager never came by to address the issue with us. I left a nice tip because I think our server was probably competent at serving food and was just having a bad night.

If I could give –5 stars, I would. First of all, what’s sad is I hold low expectations for Hooters. That being said, this location actually performed so much lower than my expectations and, therefore, warranted the negative review I am about to share. We went in on 5⁄29 at about 8:45/9 pm-ish. By «we» I am referring to myself, my 5 year old daughter, my sister-in-law(and former Hooter’s girl) and her 5&7 year old kids. I wouldn’t have picked this for myself, but my 5 year old nephew endured my daughters ballet recital and Hooter’s is his favorite… he’s a future heartbreaker that loves pretty girls. This is my condensed version of what transpired. Problem 1. We were sat immediately in a near-empty section but still waited 15 minutes for a server to come by just to get our drink order. Problem 2. Once we finally were able to order food, we waited for about 30 minutes and had to flag down our waitress to ask about our order, to which she replied that«oh, we ran out of wings and had to get some out of the freezer, so they should be finishing up soon»…I’m pretty sure that was code for she was too busy flirting with 2 guys at a table close to ours to put our order in.(She visited that table well over a dozen times and came by ours about 3 – 4 times total). Problem 3. She brought me the wrong flavor of wings, that were pretty close to room temperature. Chicken nuggets from chick-fil-a are about twice the size of what she brought me. They looked like the rejects from the bottom of the bag. Problem 4. I had ordered a to-go for my boyfriend, his order was supposed to be a size larger than mine, however, he got the same amount of sad little rejects as I got… more $ though, of course. Problem 5. Our check was incorrect and took her about 15 minutes to figure it out. We left at about 11:30pm! If I was a horrible human being, I wouldn’t have even tipped her two cents. Sadly, I can’t bring myself to do that to someone(I used to wait tables too). It was obvious we would’ve gotten better service had we been born with a certain male appendage. Spend a couple of extra bucks and go to Pluckers. The food and service there far surpass this hell-hole.

I us to be a regular hooters customer but never again… Normally my wife and order pick up… and every once in a while we like to go and sit down grab some appetizer before we turn in for a night… This evening I had gotten of from a long week of work and wanted to eat some wings… 35 minutes later i still didn’t get any wings… You can keep the 20 $ I left because that’s the last I’ll ever spend on that whole chain… Your food isn’t even good…

If I could give zero stars, I would. This hooters is by for, the WORST. This is the SECOND time we get the same waitress and have horrible experiences both times. This last time, the restaurant had literally 5 tables, and several waitresses around. Our waitress first off starts by saying, «I’m not giving you guys attitude, I just got into a fight with my manager.» Our table was a party of 3, and two of us ordered beers. The waitress recommended one to me, so I decided to try it. After ordering, she completely disappeared, as well as ALL the waitresses and the manager. Leaving the restaurant completely alone. After the food came up to the window, we had to flag the manager down. Our waitress brought the food and I reminded her about my beer. She brought the beer out, 5 min after, and disappeared again. I did not like the beer, and wanted to change to the one I originally was gonna order, but she was nowhere to be found. So I got up and asked the bartender for it. Went back to eat. Waitress never came to check on us. We then noticed people waiting to be sat, at the door. They ended up seating themselves. They also had to go find a waitress to wait on them, as waitresses were seen talking and on there phones by the bar. There are several times we have been here and the waitresses and management are horrible. I seriously hope Hooters gets their business together. Extremely dissapointing.

Service was terrible. The staff are more interested in flirting with their managers than they are in serving guests. People can say«Oh, it’s just Hooters.» All they want, but it doesn’t excuse them from providing customer service… Anyhow. Our server messed up our order, was nowhere to be found when we needed drink refills, we waited 20 minutes for silverware and then once we got it, it was rusty and dirty. This place is terrible.

Alex is awesome(area trainer). Very friendly and professional. This location also has very friendly staff including the manager… original post December 2014. New post ¾/16. Bartenders preoccupied by a regular customer and other wait staff(including manager). I had to flag down a bartender with only 25% of the bar full. For a Friday night the restaurant was only 50% full. Food was good as usual. Note to staff: do not rely on the Hooters name and food to earn business… RESPECTANDEARNYOURCUSTOMERS. I will try this place again but not in the near future. Downgraded from a 5 to a 3.

Horrible didn’t even eat got seated and sat there for 20 minutes while two managers and several waitresses just walked by and ignored us finally got up and left and told the guy who seated us that we were going to blue goose cause no body wanted to wait on us. Managers should probably help out the waitresses and managers should use team work concept to make sure tables don’t fall through the cracks instead of watching tv or talking to tables that obviously have service already. Blue goose was awesome by the way.

The service was good to excellent but the food is really bad. This is not exclusive to this Hooters, it’s every Hooters. They have excellent atmosphere, good service and bad food. I go to relax and watch games. Manager is Thomas. He is cool, but stuck with constraints of Hooters food choices.

It’s a Hooters. You know it and you either like them or you don’t. I don’t go that often, and I’ve never even set foot in the one here in Denton and I’m living here three years. I was out getting a little«wind therapy» also known as, on the motorcycle. I took a chance and went to visit a friend in McKinney. So I met up with him and suggested lunch at his favorite place. I’ve been to this location many times and pretty much all of them with him. I used to work with him on the house he now lives in and he’d occasionally take me out for lunch or dinner and most of the times it was here. I haven’t been to this Hooters in a few years now. We got there later in the afternoon and it was quiet. We sat down and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited some more. And that was just to get our drink order. Our server eventually showed up. She’d been chatting up some regulars and didn’t bother to make her way over. As I said the place was quiet. There were five people at the bar and maybe a total of seven or eight sitting at tables and the two servers and a manager. She made her way over, took our drink and food order and was off. In all the years I’ve been to Hooters, I’ve never had a burger there. So I went with a patty melt with bacon, caramelized onions and something called Daytona sauce. Apparently, Hooters has added several new sauces to the mix. I was always partial to the Bentley sauce. It’s one of the hottest they have, but, for me, not too hot. Got the food and the burger was pretty good. I would have liked it a bit rarer but it tasted good and of course bacon makes it all better. As for the Daytona sauce? It was like a thin barbecue sauce and nothing special. This is your run of the mill Hooters, like the Daytona sauce, nothing special.

My go to: 10 piece, breaded, original Hooter’s Hot with fried pickles. Woooo weeee. That Hooter’s Hot Sauce is too legit to quit. Aside from needing a little bit of a scrub down and a look/feel overhaul, this place rocks.
