This restaurant is now closed. I stopped by on Saturday, 3 October 2015 at 9:30 am. A small notice on the door said they were relocating to a newly remodeled location on Allen, Texas and would open on Thursday, 8 October 2015. I love the restaurant and have spent many hours there on many a Saturday morning. I have always given the restaurant a high rating. I originally rated my review today as a single star out of bitterness that the restaurant had closed. After feedback from other Unilocal members, I have decided to give my final review a five star farewell. Thank you for your feedback, Stan. Adieu! La Madeleine. Vous me manquez!

This place will make u feel right in the heart of France from their decors right to the wonderful pastries & food! I had a croche monsieur with French onion soup and a fresh fruit tart! The soup was delicious with bread crumbs and melting fresh mozzarella! The sandwich was oily but scrumptious; every bite fill with smoldering cheese! The fruit tart looks delicious and it prolly was, but I got it for a friend! — I should had took a bite. FOOD: 5⁄5 SERVICE: 4⁄5 AMBIANCE: 5⁄5

The eggs Benedict are delicious! I also had an almond croissant. Yummy.(Since I couldn’t decide I now have leftovers.) Service was prompt and friendly.

The French onion soup is amazing. I come once a week to get it. Take out is easy and I’ve always been treated great.

Always enjoy eating here. The quality is always predictably good. Tomato basil soup, chicken salad and their strawberry romanoff is excellent!

If you have not tried La Madeleine, I don’t know what you are waiting for! Where can I begin? This is a super cute café with such delicious treats. I have tried most everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. This is a great place to meet friends, bring the family for brunch, or even have a casual date. It is a very relaxed atmosphere and even has a nice outdoor patio! The entire menu is available all day, so grab a quiche, crepes, or breakfast croissant with eggs and bacon any time of the day. Also, the lunch/dinner menu is scrumptious! I am a fan of the shrimp crêpe Florentine as well as the salmon Caesar salad! The desserts, soup, salad, and pastas are all delightful. You really can’t go wrong. Oh! And don’t forget to grab a delicious coffee or a refreshing mango tea with your meal! I like that the employees are so friendly and that they serve FRESH homemade bread and jam that is complimentary! It is really a gem in McKinney and really cute and quaint. You won’t be disappointed!

Manager was very friendly and greeted everyone. Staff was put out to help and/or answer any questions. The food came out at room temperature. There was a can of spray Pam sitting in the food window… classy!!!

Salad is bland. Kinda like Corner Bakery but with quiche and dry roast chicken.

Been going to different locations for years, always enjoyed La Madeleine. For the most part, all their locations have close to exact flavors, so you can’t go wrong. The atmosphere is great, nice French feel. They have a fireplace in the dining area, which is a plus if you can get a table near it during the fall/winter. For breakfast, I usually get the Parisian eggs Benedict. Its hearty with a open faced croissant topped with ham, bacon, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. For lunch and dinner I would recommend the rosemary roasted chicken or the croque monsieur, which is French ham and swiss sandwich with garlic cream sauce. I always get the tomato basil pesto salad for the side, its the best. And who wouldn’t love free bread !! Don’t forget the bakery either… great selection of desserts. Their fruit tarts and strawberry napoleon are excellent.

So so so amazing! I love this place! Very unique lunch food for reasonable prices. Adorable décor — always cozy and quiet, even when filled with customers. Try the croque Monsieur sandwich — and the Sacher torte. Their quiches are also very delicious! And their trademark tomato basil soup deserves a prize!

I’m always a fan of La Madeline. The food is delish, the employees are helpful and friendly, they have a wide selection of amazing desserts and breads. And their mango tea is off the chain. I absolutely love the atmosphere. It’s quaint and cozy. Definitely a place to relax and visit. This location has a large, covered patio area to sit in as well.

La Mad has been a fav of mine for years. I usually go to the location near SMU. But since I was in North Dallas, this location served its purpose. I was able to quickly pick up some Tomato Basil soup to go.

Nice atmosphere with the fireplaces. Somewhere to eat quick but isn’t fast food. Great pastas and soups.

I have been a fan of La Madeleine, since I moved to Texas three years ago. I could not be happier with their food, great portions, always fresh and there is just something about this food you can not get anywhere else. I don’t know of any other place you can get this wonderful French food! If you do, please tell me, because I obviously am missing out. I absolutely love this food! My boyfriend and I go to La Madeleine once a month. I usually get the same thing, Parisian Eggs Benedict, if of course we go there for breakfast/brunch, which we usually do. I love this eggs benedict because it has everything on it that I love. Moist croissant, ham, bacon, a delicious poached egg cooked to perfection, and hollandaise sauce! Don’t forget the hollandaise! My boyfriend always gets the Chicken La Madeleine, which is equally as scrumptious. This location stays busy, so finding a table is a bit of a challenge. Then again, I haven’t been to a La Madeleine when they aren’t busy so I’m sure it is just a norm at all their locations. All in all, I would love to come here more. The construction in McKinney is simply awful, when it is done maybe we’ll take more trips up to La Madeleine.

La Mad as a restaurant chain is fantastic. This location unfortunately is in need of better staff. On a Saturday night at 7:30 when you have half capacity, there should be no problem finding a clean table. However… Every table in here is dirty. And employees keep walking by empty handed. One problem is the busboy who is spending more time on his phone than doing his job. We also shouldn’t be able to hear 4 employees bickering in the kitchen from our table. Like I said, I love La Mad’s food, and I can’t complain about our Grilled Chicken Parisian sandwiches or our baked potato soup, they were great. But the service/way this location is run is a black eye.

The food is NOT made fresh, it is made somewhere else, and reheated in kitchen. Even the bakery is NOT freshly baked on site! Over priced tv dinners!

I used to love coming to La Madeleine, they always have the atmosphere, classical music background, décor and great soups. I love the basil tomato and mushroom soups. These days, they have changed the menu so much, and some of the food is very expensive, that I don’t feel like coming as often as I used to. Once in a while, I feel a craving for a soup and multigrain bread and I come. Some of the desserts from the bakery and coffee are OK, as well, but be prepared to pay«in Euros» for a simple item. If you are up for a light lunch or want some soothing atmosphere and have a few bucks to spare, you will like it.

I never know what to order at La Madeleine, especially when they have delicious looking specials! They recently had a special: Parisien tartine trio & citrus salade. It’s a delicious trio of mini open-faced sandwiches along with a citrus salad. I loved each one because they were so different, but so good. My favorite had to be the smoked turkey & prosciutto(sans goat cheese). I really liked the salad too because I’m a huge fan of mandarin oranges hehe(yes, i know they may have come from the can. but I still like em!). It was a fresh new dish and I enjoyed it very much.
