My daughter and I go there for the weekend brunch. The Eggs Benedict with salmon is excellent. Good music in the background. Good friendly staff. Not many good breakfast places around, and even the bad ones are packed on the weekends. This is a good one, usually not totally packed.

Over the last month of so the dining experience has really gone down. First, assume the restaurant closes 1 or 2 hours before it really closes if you want service. During that time period the staff is busy getting the place ready to close, and therefore not too attentive to waiting on tables. Vegetables now seem to be cooked way in advance — limp. Fish is still cooked well, but there is more variation in degree of doneness. Last time we both had the copper river salmon. Asked for medium on both. One was medium and one was medium rare. New menu items add a nice variety to entries and side dishes. I wish they could upgrade their wine list. Only a couple decent wines in the whole list.

Went for a birthday dinner. Service was horrible! I waited 20 minutes for a glass of wine while everyone got their drinks except me and then I had to ask waiter. He then brought me the wrong wine. It took another 20 and then he told me they didn’t have it. After that I got my dinner last as well. Not sure what the deal was. Then I ordered a second glass of wine and never got it. That was my first and last time going.

Rockfish now serves Sunday brunch! Came for Mother’s Day. The food was«fantastic» — I had the Rockfish special with poached egg on top of crab cake. My mouth is watering writing this. We came back for an encore! A nice change from Dennys or IHOP

This place is the bomb dot com! The bartender Bret is one of the best I have come across! The service is bar none. The food is really great. All in all a great place and a great experience!

The service was great & everything was clean. The good was a little disappointing. It was much spicier than advertised. Even the mashed potatoes were full of black pepper. The crab cake appetizer was great but tiny. The main course of wood grilled salmon was served with a much too spicy bbq sauce and basically salsa on top. Like a bbq seafood Mexican dish? My husband had the fish tacos and they were ok. They needed more flavor but they were ok.

Ok, very nice waiter that tried hard to please, but that’s not enough. Our cosmos were warm not cold. Very sweet and hardly no vodka. I ordered the tuna steak cooked medium, sauted spinach and mashed potatoes. The waiter later told us they were out if mashed potatoes. I substituted the rice pilaf. The tuna steak was cooked medium rare and was a bit cold, no grill marks. The sautéed spinach was heavily coated in oil. The rice pilaf had a strange seasoning flavor that was hard to identify. Not a good meal. Also, it sounded like there was a small radio playing in the corner of the room with 80’s music. Also, very dirty restaurant. Not a good dining experience.

Had an excellent lunch today! Blackened catfish with beans and rice and creamed corn. Delicious! Food was well cooked, served hot, and service was on point! Would highly recommend you try this location for lunch.

Great Resturant, super staff and good food as long as you don’t order rib eye or flat iron steaks.

At 5:45 pm on a Sunday afternoon, the food was average and the service was terrible. Verdict: never again.

I have eaten here before and have enjoyed it(yeara2 ago). Not so much today. The service staff seemed disinterested or untrained. Management looked distracted. Our«crusted» fish entrees came out with cornmeal breading that was mushy. My side salad looked like an afterthought and hurriedly assembled«thing» — no appreciation of presentation. The tables were scrunched together so that when trying to walk between the table and the booths, you had to turn sideways and staff acted unnaware that thry were blocking the path for customers at any time. Our waitress was overly friendly, even sitting down at the booth behind us to take orders and ignored ua for the most part. I am not going back — at least to this location.

Great crawfish! We lived in south Louisiana for three years, and I became a crawfish sucking addict. I’ve really missed it since being in McKinney. I’ve tried s couple of places and resigned myself to the fact that I’d have to wait until going back to New Orleans to satisfy my craving. I tried Rockfish on a whim, and I’ll definitely be going back. Not as cheap as you can get in Louisiana, but not too bad.

This place is amazing! The place is well kept, the staff are very accommodating/Isabel is such a sweetheart… The combo of having the meat and seafoods cooked with masters were excellent… And fresh seafood you can take home from their Daily Fish Market!!!

I dine at rockfish about once a month. Usually 3 star dinner. Went on a Tuesday night with a party of 7. John was one of the best servers we have ever had. Knew all the right things to say at the right time. He deserves recognition. Food was tasty and fresh! It’s not a fancy place but we had a BLAST. Great job rockfish. Some dishes can be bland but everything I’ve had had been amazing and would get again. They have fantastic bartenders!

Rockfish surprisingly has a good brunch. They have $ 1 mimosas and good coffee. Their breakfast potatoes are pretty good as well. The service is not the greatest though. Our server disappeared for awhile and was not available to refill our coffee and give us ketchup & extra napkins. We went for brunch last Sunday and our dinner took 30 minutes to come out. The menu is reasonably priced for a fish restaurant. I suggest going to Rockfish for brunch on Saturday’s or Sunday’s. I don’t think this is the place to go if you are going on a romantic date or if you are in a rush to get back to work.

Had a Great conversation with Manuel, the MGR., yesterday; we reported that Brett and Natalie, his wife, are wonderful Wait Staff! Brett always aims to please; he flexes the menu for us to satisfy our Nutritional needs! He also makes the most Awesome Mimosas as well! That sauce on the Sweet Potato Pancakes is to die for! We are regular 4 Customers! As a Commercial Photographer I have to keep the Calories down, well, I try to! Se my website at:

What a disappointment this last trip was! We used to frequent this place because we loved when they would make the Mexican shrimp martini appetizer tableside. They would ask you if you wanted it mild, medium or spicy and even add a shot of tequila if you wanted. Now it just comes out obviously pre made and in a smaller cup. We went for a birthday meal this past weekend and it was 7 pm so we knew it would be busy. We were actually seated right away so that was nice. It took a while for our server to show up but not a big deal. She took our drink order(two waters and a kids apple juice), and we placed an appetizer order. The fried calamari we ordered as well as the jalapeño hushpuppies had obviously been sitting out for a while as they were lukewarm and the kicker is our appetizer showed up before our waters ever did. My husband ordered the firecracker shrimp tacos and they were good buy my oyster po boy was soggy and the bread was not crunchy. I didnt notice but my husband said that the oysters had a weird smell to them. The waitress did notice that we had a birthday coupon and she surprised us with a brownie with ice cream so that was nice. Overall I think this will be our last trip to Rockfish!

Had a small wait before I was seated. Started with the crab bisque it was very average but had a good amount of crab. My entrée was the blackened mahi-mahi with green beans and grilled it asparagus The blackened mahi-mahi was very tasty and cooked perfectly also the grilled asparagus and beans were very good would recommend

Pretty decent indeed! Went there with an out of town friend and his wife(from CA!) and they love the place. I was kind of «meh» at first since my last trip there was less than impressive. They’ve really reeled it in since then! (get it?) All three of us got the flounder stuffed with crab and shrimp. Ooey, gooey, yummy sauce, delicious rice underneath and perfectly seasoned fillet. And I don’t even like flounder! Normally… Our server rocked as well. What a sweetheart. He took great care of us, didn’t rush us and made sure we had everything we needed. One of our party ordered bread pudding and he brought 3 spoons. Smart guy! All in all, a very repeatable experience! See you there soon!
