I stop in every week to get my lunch when I am in the area. I always have my order taken by the nice lady he name is Jamie she is always super friendly and very helpful. I always enjoy her friendly and extremely helpful attitude if you there for lunch be sure to see Jamie she will take good care of you thanks for the great service

We come here because kids eat for .99 cents everyday. They love the cheese pizza on pita bread(it’s extra cheesy:) and today I tried the hot ham and Swiss. It’s a ham and Swiss sandwich with spicy mustard then covered in cheese sauce and baked. So.Freaking.Good. I love their iced tea. Service is very friendly and prompt and store is very clean. Kids meals are .99 cents and include pizza, grilled cheese, and ham sandwiches and baked potatoes. 1.99 if you want it to go. .99 extra for a drink. 2 bucks is a good deal for a kids meal.

I do not understand why people line up at the door for this food. I remember trying it years ago and just went again and now I’m reminded why I don’t go there. The chicken tortilla soup was gelatinous and I actually had to exchange it for something else because it tasted terrible. The club sandwich was mediocre at best. Service was good. My husband’s sliced beef club sandwich was something he could have done better at home. A piece of meat on bread. The potato salad was awful. It tasted like something picked up at the grocery store deli counter. We definitely will never be back and prefer Jason’s Deli for sure!!!

I like this place. They have great salads and baked potatoes. I don’t like the new open faced turkey sandwich. .very, very, salty.

After my first review, the management of McAlister’s cared so much about my experience and it blew me away! I understand having a bad day and I’m sure that’s all it was. My next visit was totally different! The food was great and the service was excellent! This is the McAlister’s I’ve grown to love!

Me, my sister and mother came here yesterday afternoon and I ordered a half veggie sandwich and garden salad. We got our three sweet teas(which were very good) immediately, and then went and sat down at our table and our food arrived shortly after. As I was about to dig into my salad I spot a hair sitting on top and I pick it up and tossed it on the floor, assuming it was probably some cat hair that came off of my shirt that day. So, I ignored it and continued to munch on my food just to find another hair sitting on my plate where my sandwich was. At this point, there was no way this was my hair(and the food wasn’t even that great) so I called the manager over and told him about it and he apologized many times and gave me new food to take to-go and even gave me my money back. I left the restaurant feeling confident that I’d be willing to come back another time and give it another try. Until we got in the car and started to drive home and had to pull the car over because of a case of food poisoning. My mom got sick and I felt very uneasy the rest of that day. I don’t see me coming back to this restaurant any time soon and I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody else.

Me and two of my friends came here last night around nine, wasn’t very busy at all, maybe five other people in the restaurant besides us. We ordered two slices of cheesecake and 1 spooncake, then proceeded to wait 15 – 20 minutes before going back up to the counter and asking what was taking so long for such a short and simple order. They proceeded to tell us that they«forgot» our order and that it wasn’t even in the machine. 5 minutes later we get our stuff and it was just«Ok» nothing to really brag about. Another thing that was annoying is that the server went around to literally everyone else’s table asking if everything was okay or if they needed a refill but ours. We ended having to go back up to the cashier for that. Poor customer service for«ok» food just isn’t worth it here.

This place is ALWAYS busy at this location. There’s a reason for it. McAlister’s is severely underrated. Not to the people who eat there, but the sheer fact that none of my friends/family had eaten there before I recommended it is proof. Their sandwiches, nachos, soups, salads, desserts and of course, ICEDTEA! The only meat I eat is seafood, so vegetarian options are important. McAlister’s has excellent vegetarian choices. My favorite is the veggie club sandwich, which is kind of a double-stacked sandwich on wheat bread, topped with lettuce, red onion, tomatoes, red bell pepper, Cheddar cheese and avocado. This is phenomenal, I must warn you. Their sides are delicious, but my favorite is the macaroni & cheese or the mashed potatoes(gravy is available). Another veggie sandwich is just called the veggie sandwich, which is actually in a pita pocket, so not technically a sandwich. They have vegetarian chili, so feel excited to order a huge plate of nachos with that veg chili on top! Their house salad is giant, and you MUST try the McAlister’s Honey Mustard! Required by Persia A! Last but not least, the iced tea is what they’re famous for. I personally drink it unsweetened, but I hear many praises about the sweet, too! Atmosphere is ALWAYS clean, and it’s the type of establishment that you go to the counter to order, but then the employees come to periodically check on you, refill you drink, clear your table, etc. I recommend this place FOREVER!

I love sandwiches and I thought I switch it from my usual Panera Bread. Forgot the name but the sandwich had ciabatta bread, bacon, turkey, and honey mustard. Unfortunately they ran out of ciabatta on a Monday night… and I subbed it for regular white bread. I’m sure the sandwich would have been better with ciabatta. I thought they would have homemade chips but it just the regular store bought chips. The food didn’t seem to impress me not sure if I’m willing to give it another shot. But the sweet tea either peach or regular was very good! I had to order a gallon!

Food was excellent. I ordered the shrimp sub. It was amazing. I think the prices are a little on the high side. It is crazy to charge an extra .50 for added syrup to the ice tea. I didn’t even taste it. Customer service was good.

I’ve been to McAlister’s maybe 3 times in 9 years before this trip. I’ve had lunch there 3 times in a week. Their pick 2 is WAY better than Jason’s deli could ever dream of and 1000x better than Panera. I used to eat at McAlister’s weekly back in Mississippi, where they’re based and things have changed a little bit since then but boy oh boy, it’s still damn good. I had their veggie spud olé, broccoli and cheese soup *super delicious* and the spicy turkey sandwich(I had that all three times). Plus their sweet tea put me into sugar shock just like the old days. I heard some grumblings in the store about prices going up but for $ 8 for a pick two of soup, salad, sandwich, potato, you can’t beat it.

Great place, healthy food, good services. Plenty of healthy items to choose from. The sweet tea and lemonade makes every meal just that much better. I recommend calling ahead of time and placing your order to go.

I usually go to the McAlister’s Deli in Sherman, but stopped in for a late lunch with my boyfriend. The food was delicious as always and the sweet tea is always awesome. The only reason it doesn’t deserve 5 stars in my book is because the staff wasn’t as attentive as they are at the Sherman location which is silly especially since there were only a few other people in at the time we were.

It’s gone downhill. It used to be my go-to place for fresh and healthy quick lunches and dinners. Now it all tastes old and prepackaged. The kids who work there could give 2 flips about service or looking clean. Sloppy hair falling out of a cap, visibly hairy arms, shirts half untucked and looking like you just rolled out of bed looks bad and can’t be sanitary. When you walk up to order they all look at one another like it’s not their job, nothing is their job, except the cellphones. They’re great at avoiding eye contact and doing any actual work. Luckily I know how to make a good sandwich and decent southern iced tea at home.

It’s hard not to compare this place to Jason’s Deli, but McAllister’s just not as good. The place was nice and clean and the people there were very nice. I got a French Dip sandwich and it just wasn’t that good. The meat didn’t seem that fresh and had too much cheese for my liking. After comparing calories, McAllister’s food is very high in calories. I did live the large drinks they have, they don’t skimp on that!

Excellent service, poor food quality and price. We paid $ 20 for two sad sandwiches and pathetically small portions of sides. I ordered a Turkey on rye with a side of steamed vegetable. The turkey was ok but the rye was a bit stale. The«side of steamed vegetables» was laughable as it was less than four ounces. The French dip was a better choice for the taste buds but not for caloric intake. It is difficult to find healthy food options as even a basic salad has 450 calories. The upsides — large drinks and excellent service. When my sandwich arrived with cheese melted all over it, our server noticed I wasn’t happy and asked if she could assist. I appreciated her attention particularly because it was very busy! She had the kitchen remake my sandwich. If you want cafeteria quality food for a healthy price tag — by all means visit this establishment. I much prefer other«Deli» restaurants where they are proud of the calorie contents and fresh ingredients. You will pay about the same price for much better food in the long run. I will not come here again.

Not a bad all-around place to eat at. I got a Choose Two soup & salad — Tomato Bisque & Savannah Chopped Salad(minus the chicken) and was very happy with it, especially the salad, which is rare for me. The employees were really friendly and it’s a very clean place.

I ordered the taco salad. It only came with 6 chips. That is really not enough to eat with your salad. It also didn’t come with salsa or ranch. I really wasn’t a fan. My husband got a roast beef sandwich and he enjoyed it. It was clean and the staff was friendly.

I’ve never been to McAlister’s Deli prior to my visit for dinner yesterday. I guess I never went because all of their locations are sort of off«my» beaten path. Since I received a gift card from my university, I decided to make myself familiar with the place. First impression, great! The place looked very nice and cozy. Relaxing atmosphere. The menu was so extensive, I didn’t know what to get! So many sides to choose from also! My go-to deli is Jason’s Deli. and you don’t have the kind of options of sides they have here. Mac & Cheese, applesauce, cole slaw, mashed potatoes, veggies, and more. I ordered the Beef Dip with a side of Au Jus and Mac & Cheese as my side. I also got some Sweet Tea since I’ve heard rave reviews about it. The pricing here was pretty decent, especially loved the 99 cent(dine-in only) kids meals. Definitely can’t beat that! Our food came out relatively quick and our orders were all correct. The food was delicious! I didn’t really understand what was so special about the sweet tea though, it wasn’t bad. but it wasn’t the best sweet tea ever. An employee came around offering refills, took our trash, etc. Very nice. Great place worthy of a 5 star review and a return visit!
