Do not use this florist. Can’t get in touch with anyone(phone or email), and the order was not deliverd on the requested day.

I ordered flowers for my mom for her birthday online through Merit Florist. It was for same day delivery and two days later they called me to confirm the order, which was obviously too late. They asked me if I wanted to keep the order. I said yes, but that I was very dissapointed in the situation and would not be providing them positive feedback online. She replied, «we’ll then I’m just going to cancel your order» and hung up. She didn’t even address my concern, appologize, or do any service recovery. This company has horrible customer service and with so many other options online I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

My wife and I had recently endured an arduous event moving from one city to another and she had to bear the brunt of the moving experience. To help ease the transition, I decided to engage a local florist and surprise her with an enormous, splendid bouquet of fresh cut flowers to boost her spirits while she worked so hard turning our new house into a «home». Not knowing where to start, I turned to the web for a local florist. The web-site was very easy to navigate as was the purchasing process. When asked when I would like the flowers delivered, I chose«early morning before 10am». The day came for the flowers to be delivered. No phone call from my wife all morning.(That was my first clue that something was amiss.) Then about 3pm, I get a v-message stating that the delivery person was at my house but no one answered so they LEFTMY $ 129 arrangement on the front stoop! I immediately emailed the florist and told them I was not amused with their service. The gentleman(owner?) who immediately called me that I spoke with was cordial but insistent that they do not guarantee delivery of flowers in the morning(unless someone died and it is expected at a funeral), and that I shouldn’t have expected them to be delivered at the time I stated on the invoice(though the web-site specifically prompted me to). When I arrived home 3 hours later, I was treated to a very lovely bouquet that was literally half the size I was expecting given the overly inflated price tag that I paid.(I happen to think that $ 129 for 14 blossoms is pricey by anyone’s standards.) Since the proprietor refused to give me a discount when I spoke with him by phone, I’m left to surmise that my business(as a brand new resident in his home town, I might add) is not needed or appreciated. Doubtful I will ever use this florist again. And if I want a decent sized arrangement of fresh cut flowers, I now know to stick with my local florist at the Sam’s/Costco store where the price is about 1⁄3 and the delivery person(me) knows how to tell time.
