I go here for lunch often because it’s close to where I work. Every time I go in, it’s been a very pleasant experience. Everyone there is super friendly and helpful. I always end up getting their ribs because they are so hot and delicious, and who can resist the self-serve unlimited sides with fresh bread? Being there really helps me unwind from a crazy day, from the great food, to the wonderful people that seem to go the extra mile for their customers. Thank you!

Got here at 8:00pm after notifying them we would have a large group. There were at least 10 tables uncleared when we walked in. Proceeded to order and were told they were out of chicken. A few people later they were out of brisket, then out of baked potatoes. On top of that the brisket we did receive was so fatty it was inedible. Not to mention that the young man behind the counter was throwing attitude around because he was busy. Extremely disappointing as we have been here before and generally like their food.

Ran out of Turkey for the 3rd time. Once ok, twice, hmmmm, 3 times and I’ll never go back. 3 times I brought my family and 3 times they have run out of food and it’s no short drive. Go to the Frisco or Richardson location.

Great BBQ, have been doing Spring Creek since they opened their first place years ago in Richardson. Always a great experience and though they might not be as good as say Blacks in Lockhart, they are closer. Spring Creek is a great all around place, very friendly and clean. I love their sausage!

Good bbq but that’s easy. The real story is the yummy side dishes. I had green beans and slaw. Both were way above average for a barbecue restaurant. I have to rave about the rolls however. I’ll come back when I’m in town again for the rolls.

We’ve been coming to Spring Creek BBQ for years. They have great barbecue and the service is always very friendly. Always fresh hot rolls being passed out. Their fried okra is the best I’ve ever had at any restaurant and we get it every time.

With Hutchins just down the street(best BBQ in Dallas) there’s absolutely no reason to go to a BBQ chain like this… unless your kid’s school has a spirit night. Three kids rib plates and a chopped brisket sandwich cost $ 32. The ribs were dry and overcooked, small and without much meat. The Mac and cheese had been sitting out too long, so I opted for green beans and potato salad. Just like other reviewers have stated: they are flavorless. Heard of salt? I hate the set up here. You have a person who is dedicated to handing out rolls but if I need a drink refill I need to fight my way through the line to the one drink machine you own? That’s just crap. Plus… you want three bucks for s scoop of ice cream? Never again. This food beyond sucked and I don’t understand why anyone would call this good BBQ.

Great BBQ ribs and the bread is to die for. Very good and worth the little high price.

I ate here for the first time last week. In the spirit of disclosure, I did just get take-out. The service was really great, very friendly, and even offered me a complimentary beverage while I waited for my order to be made. The service is the why this review gets two stars instead of one. We sampled the brisket, mild sausage and turkey breast. The meats had hardly any flavor, certainly not reminiscent of any BBQ. The brisket tasted like regular roast beef and the turkey tasted like they just sliced up the processed lunch-meat type of turkey. The sausage was ok. All in all, not what I would consider BBQ at all, and just not that good.

Always love coming here with the family. Everyone loves the Fresh Hot Bread!!! Good value, good quality! The chants from the employees make for a fun time. Also appreciate the great coupons!

Sides were flavorless. Meat tasted like a foot. 2 meals cost $ 28. That’s way overpriced for the quality. Stay away.

Great meats and sauces, but veggie sides were kinda bland. Fresh bread rolls were wonderful

Just came in for some BBQ. The service was attentive and warm. And so was the BBQ — but just barely. Had to get To-Go boxes so maybe I can heat up the food at another time. How does that happen at 6:45PM in the middle of the dinner rush hour. Should have just gone to Cotton Patch like we planned.

My favorite sausage and sauce anywhere! Love the hot roll basket that goes around the dining room. My husband just brought me the beef and sausage special for dinner and the meats, sauce and rolls were the best part. The potato salad had too any chunks of barely cooked potato, too much raw onion and very little additional flavor. The baked beans were black peppery and not much else. Yay for the meat, sauce and rolls. Disappointing $ 14 meal. Should’ve just gotten half a pound of meat and some rolls.

Always my favorite place to get ribs in North Texas. Very friendly staff. I can’t believe how much this chain has grown over the last 20 years. I am happy to see that with more franchising the quality of the food hasn’t gone downhill. I don’t like the green beans, but I love the meats(tried brisket, chicken and ribs this visit). Potato salad is a nice side and so is the corn on the cob. Bread is addicting. I got takeout this time(instead of eating at the restaurant) and the food was ready within 15 minutes of my ordering(even though the restaurant was super-busy on a Sunday at lunchtime).

I always eat here when I’m back in town, but this visit was very disappointing, especially the service. There was no line when we walked in, yet it took five minutes for the servers to even acknowledge us. We waited as they filled 5 to-go orders and joked around behind the counter with each other. One girl even looked at us but didn’t say a word. Finally I walked up and got their attention to order, and it took another 5 minutes for them to even start on our order.(At this point there were no more to-go orders and no one else in line.) The portions were small and the beef was badly burnt. The best part of the meal was the loaded baked potato and fresh bread. I’ve always been a Spring Creek fan, but as the service and portions continue to decline with every visit, I don’t know if I plan to visit again.

I love this place because they give back to the community. Yes, they have great bar b que. You can throw a dart and hit great bar b que in Texas, but this place gives back to the local elementaries by hosting spirit nights. They give a portion of the sales for the night back to the school. I get the southwest chicken salad. The lettuce is crisp and fresh. the jalapeño ranch has a great kick of spice. Also you can’t forget the great rolls!

Went to Spring creek BBQ in Plano a number of years ago with my Mom. They had the best home baked bread, great BBQ and sides. It was a real treat. Recently took my sons to the new one in McKinney, and OMG was I surprised. It wasn’t nearly as good as I remembered it. The food was mediocre at best, and I didn’t see the fresh baked bread. Worst of all was their wasn’t and BBQ sauce on the tables. You have to ask the waitress for it, and she brings you a little tiny plastic dish of it(1 oz.). I’ll go to Dickey’s before coming back here unless they fix their quality issues. I mean, who ever heard of a BBQ joint being stingy with the sauce?

This is good bar b q. The ribs are very good as is the brisket. You self serve all the vegetables you desire for the single buffet price. Vegetables include green bean, baked beans, cold slaw, corn on the cob and potato salad. Go back as many times as you want. The hot rolls are outstanding and many customers go there just because the rolls are the highlight of their meal. They serve blue bell ice cream and cobbler for an extra cost. Look for coupons in your Entertainment book as well as mail out coupons. There are several Spring Creek Bar B Q location throughout Dallas-Ft. Worth.

Heavens to Betsy! This place is good. If you’re looking for big portions of great home-cooked food that won’t break your budget, then Spring Creek is the place. I’m completely psyched about moving up here because of all the new restaurants I’ll get to try and I’m glad we went to Spring Creek after checking on the new house. I had their baked potato with chopped beef and it was incredible! Huge portion of it, so much that I had to take half home, and very tender meat, and the potato was cooked perfectly so that it just fell apart at the touch of a fork. FANTASTIC! My husband’s sandwich looked amazing as well, and I love love love their rolls. I’m ashamed I’ve never eaten here before as many times as I’ve seen the name. Well, no more Spring Creek, I shall add you to my favorite eateries list.
