Hank’s Texas Grill

Went there last night. Service was horrible but the burger was good. They lost my receipt and was rude about not being able to find it. Drinks were weak as hell! Never saw one sign of the manager! Never going back!

Cool place to come & check out some good localTexas country music and have a cold beer (or 2), they even got a lil dance floor. Nothing fancy, don’t expect a 5 star restaurant, it’s a casual low key place with texas charm and decent bar food. Worth checking out if your in the area.

Place seemed nice on outside. Cold on inside, menu was simple, staff seemed untrained, drink mixes were not good, overcharged for baleys side with coffee, coffee was luke warm. Looks are deceiving.

Came to Hanks last night with 3 friends to watch live music, or try at least. I was constantly disrupted by other drunks having negative confrontations with other drunks. The place was clearly over occupied but no worries, the bar was completely taken care of by only one bar tender so waiting 15 – 20 minutes for rude service made up for it. I was completely surprised that I had a horrible experience here but I can guarantee I’ll never be back for a repeat. 1 star because the bands that were there were really good, just wish that I could’ve enjoyed them.

The small concerts are outstanding, the beer is cold and its a fun place to watch a football game.
Lets face it, you go to Hanks for the entertainment, not the food. If you forget to eat before you go, then food is available. Order early and keep it simple. The food may be slightly above or slightly below average, but at least you will have something to absorb the alcohol.

This was unfortunately not a good place to eat… It took them 3 tries to get us hot fries and onion rings. The rings were lightly breaded and the onion was much to overpowering. The burgers were small… But decent. However, one of the burgers that our table ordered, the barbecue burger, came out plain and without barbecue or sauce… Also, they do not offer mustard in anyway except in very small quantities… No sign of the manager. And the service was horrible.
Do not come here.

Great flavor on burgers onion rings lightly coated allows flavor of onion to come thru… messy nachos with brisket awesome.

We were very pleased with the food and service. Did not find one thing that I did not enjoy would highly recommend giving it a try! I had the three meat platter pulled pork brisket and sausage excellent!

Any time we find a place that is named the same as our kids, we go. Hank’s menu is simple. The sides were fresh (even had real green beans) and the fries & onion rings were crisp.
There weren’t many folks there for Saturday lunch, but with a 19 month old, we like that. I had the avocado BLT and my husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich. Both were cooked well and seasoned to our likings. The kids ate their corn dog and chicken fingers with gusto.
Their iced tea was great and our server was a sweetheart.
I’d give the last star if they had a better selection of teeshirts. All they had were adult large and they don’t even have kids sizes.

We celebrated my dad’s 70^th birthday here. They were perfectly collaborative and helped us make a special event. The food was great, the beer was cold, and the staff was fantastic. Thanks to our servers Becca and Xhenita as well as the manager Aaron who was very accommodating.

Nice daily drink specials and happy hour prices (nice non-​happy hour prices as well). Plus, you have to love a place that normally has Texas country acts but also books Reverend Horton Heat (I had to miss the show Sat because of a prior commitment). I had the BBQ platter. I wasn’t expecting the world’s best BBQ, but it was edible. I was actually impressed with the brisket cutting… very thin and against the grain making the fact that it was a very lean flat cut enjoyable. They also honored a Unilocal check-​in for a free chips and queso. Nice employees is a plus. The first time I stopped by was on a Sunday just to check the place out even though I wasn’t eating or drinking. Had a nice conversation with the GM about the food and drinks as well as the music. Really my only gripe was that the Shiner on tap was a little bit watery.

I hear they asked an off duty police officer to leave their premises. Seems like they may have just been scared because of a high amount of health code violations…

The next time that I go to Hanks it will be for a burger. I had a wicked craving for pork ribs last week and decided to venture to Hanks. The bartender was really friendly and took my order right away. I have to preface this by saying that I’m a bit of a snob when coming to pork ribs;
My order arrives and I dig in… lets just say that the next time I visit Hanks it will be for a burger.

Great place to watch the game on Sundays! Also a great venue for small concerts! The service is always a little slow but it seems to honestly be because the crowds are always so big. The wait staff does the best they can and always seems like they need a couple more people working.

There was a benefit for a family to raise money for their 6 year old son with brain cell cancer. A motorcycle ride, silent auction, auction, raffle etc were set up, their were over 200 people attend this event to help raise money, they purchased food and beverages at Hanks. None of the proceeds went to the family. The service was terrible because they didn’t plan well enough, the food and beverages took forever if you got waited on and the food wasn’t that great. There are a lot of disappointed people and I will not return to Hanks again!

We set up a benefit for a family in our community to raise money for their needs including medical for their son in 2^nd grade w brain cell cancer. My first time here even though I drive by it every day. I had the sandwich basket with Brisket. It was great. The place was empty at lunch time on a Saturday so I was concerned that the place might be only about the music. The food and the service was great. I’ll come back to check out the music!

I’d really like to cuss about how awful the bbq is here. I’m having trouble explaining how low this ranks on the list. It was what I would equate to dog food. Clearly a place on the verge of failure as their general clientele age out of driving and/​or walking ability. I’m hopeful the band will be cool but it’s almost 9 and since they were supposed to be on at 8 I can only assume they actually ate the meat served here and don’t feel up to performing now.

Came with a few friends and they were both thinking management changed or something. Food is pretty good, even though the waitress got 2 out of 3 orders wrong.
Low ratings because I watched various waitresses picking under their VERY short shorts, one adjusting her bra and many playing with each others hair near the food service area. All of these observations were near the cook-​counter area and NONE of them washed their hands after these events!
