Baskin Robbins

Your standard Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin Robins combo store. Employees greeted us when we walked in and gave ample scoop sizes. My boyfriend ordered a mint chocolate chip milkshake and then asked for it malted. I think this confused the employee, because he just ended up with a vanilla malt. He said it was still good so he didn’t complain or ask for the correct milkshake. If you ask me, that’s what you get when you order malts – yuck! We happened to be in the area having dinner with friends and were craving ice cream and coffee which brought us here. I don’t think we’d make a special trip otherwise.

I have no idea how these clowns stay in business. At least from the Baskin Robins/​Ice Cream side of the house, they are always out of product. Have been there MANY times with the family and Mint Choc Chip is a favorite of a few family members, very often the tub is in the freezer is empty. It has become a running joke they are always out of Mint Choc Chip, I think they just never reorder product.
We stopped by over the weekend and over ½ of the ice cream tubs in the freezer were EMPTY. No chocolate, no vanilla, no mint choc chip, no nutty coconut and I cannot recall what else they were out of. This is just crazy.
Watched many families walk in, turn around and walk out.
I mean who are these idiots that cannot keep track of about 20 flavors as this is not a 31 flavors establishment. I have to assume there is a large walk in freezer where 6 – 12 tubs can be kept in inventory. Or is this like the geniuses that realized they are out of toilet paper when the roll is empty and you reach for it? I mean when the tub is ²⁄₃ used, it is EMPTY or needs to be reordered.
My son said her overheard the staff talking to each other that they only get ice cream delivered every 2 months!!! Come on, Summer will be over before they have inventory.
The North Arlington store closed after over 50 years because what I heard the owners were not paying business taxes for years.
Maybe these guys are having financial problems, but it seems their lease may be up and this store may be ready to close the way it is being run.
Baskin Robins Corp, do you have a CLUE as to what stores are buying inventory and how much product your stores/​franchises should be buying?
This looks like the demise of just another institution, possibly caused by the franchises.

The employees are stupid. I asked to check the balance to my Baskin Robbins gift card. Without notifying me, they charged me for a donut and told me the amount on my gift card with the reduced amount. (I haven’t used my gift card yet) I was confused to find out that the balance didn’t end in $.00, because they charged my card to check the balance. I think that is ridiculously stupid. Please educate your employees to learn how to do something as check the balance of a gift card. The employee could have notify me what he was going to do to my card before charging it. Stupidity.

Open 24 hours.
It’s a joint Dunkins and Baskins. We walked in and the workers were making donuts but I was able to get ice cream and sprinkles from the Dunkins cash register.
The service was quick and kind. It was a clean store.

Then you’ve found your place!
While most of these shake and bake joints are rather unremarkable, this one in particular has kept me rather entertained. I’ve never had to swear in a family oriented joint or reach for my baton until I came to this place. It utterly confounds me that its still in business but somehow it manages to kluge together enough customers to keep it afloat — including myself. I guess it’s like a car accident — you always have to slow down and look… only I have to slow down and grab a scoop.
