I’ve been here a few times. I discovered it last year with Groupon’s lobster roll special. Last week, I tried their Ahi tuna sandwich. Oh. My. God. My tuna steak was perfectly seared, topped with pink ginger(much sweeter than the yellow), pineapple and a teriyaki sauce. I paired it with the wild blueberry shake — so thick I could barely suck it through the straw. The sandwich was A.Ma.Zing! I’m going back for another at lunch today. I also like the sweet potato fries. Perfectly cooked. Not greasy at all. I even gave a cold fry to my cat, and she loved it. BGR is kind of hidden behind Cava. Like a little hidden treasure!

For the price, it’s not too bad, but it’s not the best burger I’ve ever had. I ordered a custom burger with bacon, cheddar, mushrooms, and the works with a side of garlic fries. They handed me a pager and cooked my meal to order as I got my drink, and it took about 10 minutes for my order to be ready. I ordered my burger at a medium but it came out more on the medium well to well done side, but the flavor was still there. The disappointment was in the garlic fries. Sure it was what it advertised, roasted garlic and herbs all around this large plate of fries, but the garlic was in chunks and wasn’t evenly spread with the fries. On top of that, the garlic had a rather weak flavor compared to how it should have taste. Instead of eating garlic fries it felt like I was eating fries with a hint of garlic. Overall, this place is alright, but ohh man does it get busy. I was with a friend when I came to this place, and it was empty, but after we sat down the line went out the restaurant and back into the mall! Timing is definitely key here!

I frequent BGR from time to time. It’s not a usual«go-to» spot I’ll admit, but it’s located conveniently close to the Apple Store. Albeit, this is not a review about the Apple Store! I’ll take that up in a separate review. The burgers are made to order and they are grilled. Convenient that they provide you with a buzzer to alert you when your burger is done. There is some seating inside, but outdoor seating is offered as well if you can find it. Here’s my two cents. The burgers here are a bit expensive and your meal will be particularly so if you choose fries and a drink. All told you’d expect to pay at least $ 15 for the aforementioned. But, my take is that the burgers are average and not great. Hey, they usually are playing jams from the 80s, so that kinda makes up for the«average» rating of the burgers. Flock of Seagulls anyone? You’ll likely find equal or better value at Five Guys which is also located in the Tysons Mall. And, I also prefer the fries at Five Guys. Today, I sampled BGR’s «Burger of the Month» which was a $ 9.99 burger topped with kimchi and cilantro. Good concept, but kimchi and cilantro don’t quite go well together. Again, my two cents.

This place is located on the second floor in Tysons Mall right next to Cava. When you walk in the mall you will see it on the right and there’s usually extremely long line at Cava, but this place looks completely empty. When you walk in there’s usually a very short line and you can order pretty quickly. We walked in thinking we were going to Cava, but decided to head over to this place to avoid the extremely long line. The first time I got here we weren’t sure what we want to order so I tried the turkey burger. Unfortunately it was pretty bad. You can order the Turkey burger and then add whatever toppings you want or you can order premade burgers with defined the toppings. The turkey burger was just not very good. The next time I went I decided to try the Wellingtonfor per friend’s recommendations. This was actually a good choice. It was pretty tasty and was pretty filling. It takes about 15 minutes to get your burger. You don’t really get a lot of fries with it, so just be aware. I like my burger spicy and you can make it spicy in which they had jalapeños. It’s actually a lot spicier than you think it will be. All in all, this place has a decent burger for being in a mall and being fast food. I would not recommend any of the turkey burgers however the other burgers are decent.

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at BGR. I couldn’t understand why there was such a long line at Cava next door, when BGR had plenty of seating for lunch. They also offer a decent outdoor patio if the weather cooperates. You can build your own burger starting at $ 6.99, which comes with all your basic fixings and add an assortment of toppings for various added prices per item. They also have an assortment of pre-made burgers from about $ 9 – 15 including a tuna burger, which my coworker raves about. I personally went with the Triple-D, which comes with with bacon, an over-easy egg, bbq sauce, grilled jalapeño, and cheddar cheese. It was actually cooked as I asked, with a little pink in the middle. On top of that, the advertised over-easy fried egg on top was in fact over-easy! The accompanying fries were decent, but nothing special and it would be nice if they offered some sort of fry sauce other than ketchup/mayo/mustard. Overall, this is a good 30 minute in and out lunch in the mall if you’re looking for a burger.

BGR is conveniently located at the second level at the mall, next to Cava. The reason I gave this a shot was because Cava had a ridiculous long line and I didn’t have much time waiting. Sorry to say but I was disappointed. I got a turkey burger in a salad bowl with fries and soda. The turkey burger is not very tasty, under seasoned with big chunks of mushroom in it, making the patty into a weird texture. And personally I like mushroom. When you bite into it, the mushroom felt too chunky that it didn’t blend well with the meat. I am not sure if this was my luck or they did this on purpose, anyway, I don’t like it. The service was friendly but the tables were greasy. The entire restaurant felt like a mess to me. I am not going to return.

Came here with a few coworkers on them whim for lunch I had the grilled chicken sandwich fries and drink –ran me about 15 dollars. The prices seem pretty steep as the burgers come pre made they are not fresh. I wanted to try the turkey burger but I noticed it was«infused with mushrooms» and it was pre sealed so I opted away from it to be safe. The chicken sandwich well it was bland, even the bun was dry but I didn’t expect too much due to it is a burger spot The fries were excellent ! You get a serving enough for 2 – 3 people but the big plus is they are placed in a Chinese take-out like container which allows the fries to stay fresh. We took our food to go and once we returned to work they had a great crunch and I did not have one cold soggy fry . My coworkers did get burgers and they really enjoyed them ! The burgers are made to order right in front of you on a flamed grill. They have a beef burger-turkey-veggie and a tuna burger. Basic toppings are free but as you expand so does the price so keep that in mind. Also you have to add your own condiments(mayo/mustard/ketchup) which I thought was weird as the burger is already prepared and sealed so then you have to go take your food out add your condiments and rewrap your sandwich:(. The staff seemed pretty nice from what I experienced as there was minimal interaction because we did not eat in. This place is rather small in space so if you eat in I suggest you go to the back area as the front gets crowded from folks waiting on order numbers to be called. Nothing really stood out besides the fries that I would rant and rave about this place-just another burger joint if you ask me. While I wont be the one planning a trip back, I would grab some fries if I am in the area.

For my first visit to BGR, I had the Ahi Tuna burger and I have to say, I’m pretty impressed. After realizing I had too much red meat in my diet, I figured I’d incorporate more fish to make up for it. The burger was beyond delish(It comes with pineapple, teriyaki, and pickled ginger) and totally worth the wait. It was fairly busy when we visited. All in all, the food is pretty yummy, the prices are decent and the staff are super engaging and friendly.

I’ve wanted to go to BGR for a while. It sounds like an interesting place with high quality burgers and I’m a man who likes burgers. Somehow, I’ve never been to a BGR, but my wife and son and I were at Tyson’s Corner today and I thought I would give it a try. Big mistake. The Tyson’s Corner BGR is terrible. After we entered the restaurant, I approached the counter to order. A woman in her twenties was at the counter. When I approached the counter to order she pointedly ignored me to talk with her friend — who was clearly neither an employee nor a customer. As she spoke to her friend — at length — she moronically sucked on her necklace and occasionally looked in my direction. After a few minutes I realized she had no intention of taking my order. At no point had she acknowledged my existence and — I want to be clear about this — at no point did she pay attention to anyone else. She simply talked with her friend while occasionally glancing in my direction to let me know I was being ignored. Finally, I turned to my wife and stated that I planned to leave because the staff was ignoring us. The staff member ignored my comment to my wife; she clearly wanted me out of the restaurant. At no point did she acknowledge our presences. My wife and I decided to go to Cava Mezza. Frankly I’m glad. BGR looked dirty and greasy and I have to say that Cava Mezza was excellent. So, I have to say that the sullen, angry, indifferent BGR employee who ignored me and convinced me to leave may have been doing me a favor. So let me say this — BGR management — Thank you for employing folks considerate enough to put their customer’s interests above their employer’s. If your employee hadn’t been nasty, and terrible, I might never have discovered how delicious the restaurant three feet from your doorway actually is. Thanks.

Went in for the first time on a Saturday. The burger was decent, it was cooked well(I ordered medium well), the toppings were fine, and they got my order right. The only issue with the food is that the patties are frozen(you can tell when they grill the meat by the too uniform perfect circle appearance of the beef plus the paper that they strip off the meat prior to grilling) and they overcharge for extras such as grilled onions. I took a star off for that. I took another star off due to the service. The manager(who I presumed was the manager due to being dressed differently than the other employees) seemed very disinterested and she wasn’t in a very good mood. The service was not particularly friendly. Overall, the burgers are slightly above average, the service was below average, and you can easily get equivalent burgers at Smashburger, Freddies, or even Fuddruckers.

I love all these new burger joints and this is one of the good ones. They have lots of interesting flavors and toppings. The burgers are large and juicy and actually cooked to medium or medium rare on the spot and not over cooked as most fast food places tend to do. The spicy mayo sauce makes it even juicier as well. The negatives are that the prices of the burgers are high, you don’t receive tons of fries, and not much else on the menu. I recommend having the regular burger because you still receive the sauce and grilled veggies. If you opt for the speciality burgers, fries(or even the sweet potato or garlic fries) and a drink the meal is around $ 15 which is ridiculous.

Location: small dark and damp. Classic rock bands on the wall, easy listening top 40 style music playing, a little weird, but whatever. Does not have the«Clean» feeling like Elevation Burger as an example. Lead employee was nice. every other employee was slow, physically and mentally. be ready to wipe your own table. Food: Descent at best. I ordered the Tripple D and the Garlic fries. Burger — Meat was cooked well good taste(But took the advice to order over med for a med), Egg was just right, grilled jalapeño was 90% raw still(big disappointment), Bun… The bun sucked, the bun is one of the biggest things with a good burger, this sesame seed bun has the freshness and texture of a rubber preservative laden McDonalds bun. Fries — Half room tempeture cold, half warm(but for sure been sitting out), garlic sauce was really light and faint but overall good. decent size serving. Overall: Id say pass. Burgers are my favorite food and I was really exited about this place. It was my first time at this mall, walked passed like 5 other Amazing looking places that I thought about changing my mind for, but I wanted a Burger! bad bad choice. It was not bad, but it was way to expensive not to deliver. Even at a fast food price id say pass. No reason to ever eat at a BGR ever again.

BGR The Burger Joint is probably a 2 by global standards but a 3 for this mall. If you’re in the mall, I’d say it’s a good place to stop and grab a bite, but I certainly wouldn’t travel for it. We went to this place for weekend lunch. We split two burgers — the burger of the month which was a bacon, brie, & apple burger, and the Wellington. We also got a side of fries each and a side of onion rings. The star of the meal was actually the burger of the month. The balsamic was a great addition. My only complaint is that the apples weren’t sliced thinly — it was hard to eat them on the burger, which was a shame. Definitely recommend this. The Wellington, which I was really excited for, was disappointing. The mushrooms had a weird texture to them and I didn’t like the sauce that was on the bottom. The menu didn’t mention the sauce and I don’t eat mayo, which the sauce likely contained. This burger made me sad. High hopes… The fries were just OK and the onion rings were pricy in my opinion — $ 4.99 for like six pieces? Plus ~70 cents to add what looked like two sprinkles of rosemary? Sort of a rip off. All in all, the meal was OK, but I would rather go to a Five Guys or a Steak n Shake than this chain.

Friendly service … They made a mistake, someone else took the order we been waiting for a while. So the nice black man refunded our $ and made the meal on house. I’m not sure if he was the manager. But my date said he’s cool as shit while we was exiting the burger joint. What a gentleman. I said yes I agree ! While I was leaving he apologized to both to us. I asked him if I can have a drink. He had a sense of humor and said oh no with a smile and said no go head. So I grabbed a cup and got me a lemonade. I come back. My date loved his burger. I def be back when I come back to tysons.

This is a decent spot if you’re looking for non-food court food in a casual setting. I’ve had the chicken sandwich and the sweet potato fries, and both are decent. I really liked the portion size; you will definitely leave feeling full! The guy working the counter was friendly and patient; I took a while to decide what I wanted. There are numerous tables at this location, but it’s never been overly crowded. All in all, this place makes a decent, reliable sandwich. There isn’t anything super crazy or complicated, and it’s a nice departure from other restaurants in the mall. Bottom line: if you’re craving burgers, this is a good spot to try out. The portions make a trip here worthwhile.

Grilled Isn’t Caramelized *Note* This review is based on take-out only Food/Drink: 2.5 Stars When a menu says caramelized, that is what I expect. I will nitpick this detail as much as I want! Some of the onions were still partially raw. From the photo you can easily tell how the onion was prepared. Normally I don’t whine about such a small detail, but it was $ 2.00 extra. For that price I expect it to be done correctly. Now that I have ranted about that I will continue with the rest. Overall the burger is decent and cooked to the proper temperature I requested. The flavors are good and the ingredients are fresh, but there is no impact. When a restaurant specializes in a specific dish you expect it to be all that it can be, even if it is a chain. The fries are the main reason I would return to BGR. Crispy goodness in a quart sized Chinese food container. Even after being full from the burger, shake and pretzel(from Auntie Anne’s [yes I’m a glutton]) I consumed these addictive golden fried sticks potato exquisiteness. The chocolate shake was so-so. It quenched my craving for something chocolatey, but that’s about it. Service: 3 Stars Service is quickly and friendly. Happy to fix all my errors when I was spouting out my messy order and repeating my order correctly the first time. The condiments, utensils and other items are on their normal side table, but some were on carts that are out of place. It looks are though they were in the middle of refilling their stock and topped halfway leaving it there. Overall: 2.5 Stars When a place confused grilled with caramelized, what else are they getting wrong that people don’t know about. The burger selection is of an interesting variety. You will not find many places serving an «ahi tuna» burger in a chain restaurant. The fries are the biggest surprise here by being downright crisp and delicious. Cleanliness is mildly questionable(mainly due to the condiments/utensils just being on a cart). The crowds aren’t heavy during weeknights, so if you are craving a burger you may want to check them out. If I return back to the Tyson Corner area, I’ll give them a second chance.

Wow. I am shocked! I was hesitant to try this burger based on the Unilocal reviews that have already been posted. I was about to go to five guys but decided to give this place a shot. I got the burger box set. I got the regular cheese burger with American cheese and the works. This burger is honestly a top 5 burger that I’ve had. Maybe this was just a good day but I did not expect that much flavor. They have a dry aged burger and the taste was so delicious and unique. The ratio of pickles and veggies were perfect. The bun was a bit dry and flat in my opinion. I thought the grilled onions were a little inconsistent and semi-sloppy in placement. But the overall flavor of the burger was amazing. The fries were nearly perfect and the quantity was extremely generous. All of this and a drink comes out to 11.64 with tax. I can’t say much more about how great of a deal you will be getting by coming here. Also the men’s bathroom is very clean and smells nice. Hopefully they can consistently produce this kind of an experience and increase their Unilocal rating.

This location is super awkward in tysons corner mall down a little hallway next to another restaurant. They have nice patios outside to eat though, so that’s nice. The burger was good! I got some avocado on it and was happy ;) also, the sweet potato fries are very good

if u have spare time go here cause it takes them forever to make your order ready. The burger is a normal burger nothing better than places like five guys however its more expensive here to have the same burger. The only good thing is fries, you can try those if you are still going.
