French streetwear legend Christian Audigier recently opened an epoynomous retail store on the lower level of Tysons Corner Center in the Nordstrom Wing near True Religion, Martin + Osa, and Republic of Couture. From the outside, the store attracts customers with colorful window displays and anthropomorphic animal manniquins. Inside, the store is dark and dimly iit. It is divided into five rooms with a unique décor to complement five of the six current Audigier brands: Christian Audigier, Ed Hardy, Crystal Rock, SMET, and Paco Chicano. No C-bar-A sold here. Staff is very helpful and somewhat overbearing, they know everything about what is sold there and truly believe their store is superior to any other in Tysons. Just like the store, the merchandise is loud, colorful, and flamboyant. Allover print, gold foil print, appliqué, and sequins all on the same t-shirt, even for men. The goods are very expensive, t-shirts range from $ 60 – 210 and hoodies from $ 180−300+. Unfortunately, the quality of the products do not reflect the price, the graphics on the Ed Hardy t-shirts I bought faded within the first five washing. Also, except for the U.S. made t-shirts, everything is made in China. A $ 350 hoodie should be made in a country with ethical labour laws Nonetheless, Christian Audigier is a very attractive, ecclectic retail store that inspires customers to relax and enjoy shopping for its merchandise
