Probably one of the worst Starbucks I’ve visited. I’m not sure how these employees got the chance to work in such establishment but sheeesh they could care less! There are countless coffee spots close by– I recommend any of them!

I have been to this Starbucks several times since Tyson’s got its Metro station and by far this is the WORST Starbucks I have ever been to. The baristas have gotten my order wrong on several occasions and have given me a lot of dirty looks when I called them out on the mistake and asked them to fix it, as per their«we’ll make it right» policy that is prominently displayed by the bar. They mostly have bad attitudes towards customers which is an antithesis to good customer service and talk to customers like they’re morons, which is also bad. Half the time it seems like they’re understaffed, which results in ridiculous lines that sprawl out into the mall and presenting a safety hazard and blocking traffic. They really need to shape up. The other Starbucks near Zara is so much better

The short little Napoleon guy with balding head who was working the coffee counter today at around 12:40PM must hate his life. This little guy got irritated that I simply asked him to top my coffee. When I picked up my grande pumpkin spice latte, it was very light. I opened it up and saw that he left 4 inches from the top. If I’m paying over $ 5 for coffee you better give me a full cup. He told me that if I wanted whipped cream to say so… oh no dude, the PSL comes with whipped cream! I told him to fill it up with steamed milk AND whipped cream. This Napoleon complex guy tells me that he’s giving me venti portion but yet I was only asking him to top off my grande cup. Apparently the guy wasn’t good in shapes, dimension, and geometry as a kid well into adulthood. Not only that, the PSL didn’t taste as rich as it normally does. This location next to Macy’s is also really slow with service. I’ve given them enough chances to make it right. This was the last straw with that crappy employee. Maybe he needs to go pick up garbage where he doesn’t have to have too much interaction with customers.

This Starbucks is always an understaffed zoo. They either need to schedule more people or fire their current baristas and replace them with faster ones. The line stretches out the door even at off peak hours because it’s so slow here. Funny how people are«fighting for $ 15» and they take 45 minutes to make a cup of coffee.

I frequently stop by this location when in Tyson’s, and of the maybe 30 or 40 Starbucks I’ve visited around the world, it’s unquestionably the slowest. It’s typically understaffed, and the staff is unfriendly and lethargic. The iced green tea tastes 2 weeks old. And the garbage bin is overflowing(see photo). If only the other location in Tyson’s were better. It seems they are both under the same manager.

I come to this location very very often and usually the baristas are helpful and sweet. I have had a few instances when the barista was very careless however this store gets so busy at peak times that I don’t think too much about the attitude of the baristas. It is also inside a busy mall which I am sure adds to the frustration of the staff. Most of the time they are nice enough but I have definitely been to many other Starbucks with much nicer staffs.

Of the two Starbucks stores in the Tyson Corner Mall, this is the one on the lower level next to the Disney Store near where the mall’s two major hallways intersect. I have been to this store several times and until my most recent visit would have said that it is a typical Starbucks. This is the only store where I have been challenged regarding obtaining a refill at the refill price. When it happened previously, the refill criteria were that the original purchase had to have occurred at the same store and within 2 hours — no problem. On my most recent visit, I was asked if I had left the store(which I had to look in other nearby mall stores) and was told that I could not get a refill. Staying in the store was not a requirement previously. Given the extremely small seating area and the usual number of customers, I felt the new requirement was unreasonable. I would have given 0 stars if that were possible. Needless to say, I won’t be back to this Starbucks any time soon.
