Great place to find the perfect gift for either sex. Large selection of unusual items from jewelry, furniture, glass, metal; both artistic and historical. Home to the largest selection of Craftique Furniture once made in Mebane, NC by owner and founder L. P. Best. Large room upstairs packed with diverse items including art and hand made rugs. Downstairs there is a room dedicated to the men with hardware and tools from early eras.

Prices are great, the owner Theresa Dallas knows her stuff and is extreamly personable. I love the store it has so many different things to look at… and buy of course… Christmas time at the Curious Peddler is absolutely a must see. The decorations are spectacular and affordable. My house is decorated with The Curious Peddler touch that is for sure. Love love love the store.

Such a unique shop filled to the brim with the most delightful array of merchandise! There is something for every taste and budget and even the most avid collector will be amazed at their selections. Also, the shop owner makes you feel right at home with her warm and friendly smile whether you are just browsing or inquiring about some of their beautiful vintage Craftique furniture. You will fondly remember your visit to The Curious Peddler.

Lovely little antique shop in quaint downtown Mebane. Husband and I wandered in here on a recent day trip and enjoyed browsing the unique items. The selection of vintage jewelry is not to be missed. Definitely worth the drive! I can almost guarantee you’ll see some things you’ve not seen previously. Also, collectors take note — nice little selection of authentic Hummels at great prices. We scored a handmade German goblet for a ridiculously minuscule price! Will be visiting again for sure :)

Lots and lots of cute stuff here. It’s a great antique/vintage shop and has everything from knick knacks to jewelry to furniture. Some of it looks classic and vintage while some of it looks upcycled and handmade. I saw a lot of fine jewelry — diamonds and pearls and rubies oh my! — and I fell in love with a couple of pieces of large furniture. It’s a two-story shop, so take the time to check out both levels. I’d also suggest coming back here frequently as things change out on the regular.

Great stuff, especially around the holidays. i love browsing here, and have received a few nice gifts that were purchased here. It can be a bit pricy, but altogether it’s a great store.

This is almost a gift store rather than an antique store. From the time I entered until the moment I left, I felt as though I were in a high-end store in the middle of a big city, rather than in a small town. Everything is beautifully arranged, from the furniture, to the paintings, the jewelry and sundry home décor and collectibles. The quality of everything, particularly the antique watches and mirrors was unusual. It seems as though the owners are particular about the items they select for display. The store has a bright and open feel, probably owing to the large windows and the loft that in itself made you feel like you could curl up on the furniture, pick up a book and relax with a cup of tea. Although I didn’t find anything I had to have, I was certainly tempted. Perhaps I’ll give in to temptation on what will certainly be my next visit.
