Just ran across this shop recently and I was blown away. I love that I can buy unique rockabilly style clothes at a reasonable price there rather than online. The shop is really fun and creative but I must brag on their customer service. I have been to very few places with the genuine customer service that these folks have. They’re so sweet and the guy at the front counter is so helpful. He even reccomend an outfit for me and I loved it! You must check this place out if you like fun and odd things. Love this store and the people.

This is a fun little shop. Retro stuff, new stuff, lots of sparkly and lots of playfulness. Tchotchkes, jewelry, home decorations, books, clothing accessories. If you need a little something fun, play here.

This is a fun shop! The name Quirks is very appropriate because there are lots of unique and quirky things to be found at this very cool shop. Entering the Quirky doors is like going on a treasure hunt! The service if friendly and there is a fun vibe here that makes me want to go back often. The year round Christmas ornament collection is awesome! Deals abound!

It’s a new antique shop. A better antique shop. One that works! Disclaimer: I’m a fan of the odd.

An absolutely charming little shop in historical downtown Mebane that mixes funky with fun! You’ll find a mix of antiques both decorative and functional interspersed with handmade items, kitschy Christmas ornaments(like half a grilled cheese sandwich), jewelry, vintage negligees, and creepy doll heads(decoration only, alas; I wanted those!). The small shop is beautiful, with high windows and a shabby-chic vibe going on; the price points offer something for any budget, and the mix of styles yields something for every taste. The resident cat is as cute as can be, and his servants — I mean, the shop owner and clerk — are as friendly, funny and helpful as anyone might want. It’s a bit of a haul from my Raleigh residence, but you can bet that I’ll stop in to pet the cat and admire the fresh finds whenever I find myself in the neighbourhood!

You know what my favorite places are? Places where every corner is filled with unusual stuff you never knew you wanted. But you do want it all. Very badly. This is exactly that place, the perfect place to explore an amazing variety of wonderful objects. The owner has a wonderful feel for the odd and intriguing. The resident cat is a wonderful distraction as well.

Quirks is an aptly named store. It has unusual items along with the routine sundry. Although I’m not sure you can call anything antique«routine» there is a commonality when it comes to vases, pitchers, glassware. Quirks carries all that, but also things like laboratory beakers. Granted, some of the beakers are souvenirs from the area colleges, but they’re still made of the sturdy glass used in labs. The store is a hodgepodge of things both functional and decorative. If you like weird, unusual, and yes, quirky, this is a must-see store. Glass beads — this is one of the few places outside a bead store or jewelry shop, where I found real glass beads. And hatpins. Lots of them. There was some pretty fun jewelry as well, although if I’d had more time, I might have spent it looking more closely at what was available. With things bunched together, it was overload making it difficult to focus on something without being distracted by what was next to it. The wooden barrels and the antique doll, for instance, were easy to miss among all the more ordinary things. There is a small section of items on sale, but there’s only so much kitsch I can handle. Quirks is a store I’ll come back to when I have more time, but probably for gifts for others.
