Quick and friendly service, fresh ingredients, and fair prices… I’m sold. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. My server was very attentive and pleasant. Since it was my first time there, I went safe and ordered a P9: Phở Ga(with chicken). I loved the fresh scallion and the chicken was delicious. All ingredients were very fresh. So happy to have finally found a good Phở place in the area! Oh, and I finished it all off with a delicious and refreshing coconut drink with slices of young coconut — highly recommended!!!

I dined here with my Vietnamese family – it earned a satisfactory review from my immigrant parents. The space and ambiance is certainly above average for a Vietnamese phở joint, but their menu and its execution plays it too safe.

What a crappy day for a nice warm bowl of phở. Very laid back feel, nice ambiance. I absolutely love the fried shrimp. It’s great for those gluten sensitive folks like myself(shrimp does has gluten but the sauce does not, delish! Cheating never felt so good!) Waitress was very keen about pointing out which meals were with/without gluten including side dipping sauces. Unlike the Harrisburg viet restaurants it doesn’t feel weird eating alone

I can’t believe I haven’t eaten here sooner! Ended up going twice in one week! I ordered take out Phở with lean beef and was amazed at how thorough they were with the mix ins on a to go order. Everything was laid out and compartmentalized for ease of adding or not adding. The price is very affordable and it is a great place to swing in for a quick yet delicious dinner!

Wow. So glad to have another option for Vietnamese Cuisine. Harrisburg options are great too. But WOW the Shrimp Summer Rolls are so fresh and then I enjoyed my iced vietnamese coffee. Everything I had was wonderful

OWNERISCHEAP! I would eat here 2 to 3 times a week for lunch. Would sometimes get food to go. Food is great however if owner takes your order he will charge you for a little extra Saracha or Hoisin to go. That would be fine however if you eat there it is FREELY available at table and CANUSEASMUCHASYOUWANT. So I asked him nicely to please not charge me for a to go order. He refused and told me «I am the owner and you have to eat here to not be charged». He has lost a very regular customer just over ONEDOLLAR. It is just a matter of principle to me. Just an FYIFORANYONEORDERINGTOGO.

My husband and I stayed in a local hotel and we’re looking for a place to have dinner. The food was tasty, the décor pleasing, the wait staff attentive and a reasonable price. They do not sell beer or wine so you might want to bring your own.

The food was great and the service was good. But the environment is lacking due to the type of music they played. The décor is totally hip and young with clean lines but they played classic rock! Let’s get some Thievery Corporation or Zero7 up in this joint. Some tea light candles on every table. Take it up a notch. The little details count. People like a lounge-y relaxing environment and music makes a big difference!

I hate to give out bad reviews, but Phở 7 Spice greatly failed all expectations. While the food was fine, the service was AWFUL. We came on a Saturday afternoon(actually around 11am); the restaurant had one other table dining when we entered. It took 55 minutes for our lunch order to arrive at the table after being placed. Almost an hour wait for some bowls of soup! I really wanted to like this place after reading such positive reviews and after reading that it was family-friendly. However, after our dining experience, I can say that we won’t be going back, nor would we recommend others go(especially those that have young children).

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review about this place yet! To say I love this place is an understatement! I absolutely adore getting phở here! It has even turned into a once a week tradition for my family! My family and I have searched for a place to get Vietnamese food that was up to our standards! –clean –taste good –friendly staff –great Vietnamese iced coffee Phở 7 spice has all of these and more! The other things on their menu that are to die for are; Jasmine Ice tea, Spring rolls, homemade macaroons(YESHOMEMADEMACAROONS), vermicelli dishes and much, much more!

Phở had great aroma but lacked depth of flavor. Portion size was good as was the service. Appreciated the ambiance and cleanliness of the dining area and the staff was really pleasant. I’ve had better so will probably not return.

I had never had Vietnamese food before so I wanted to try this place out. Needless to say I was not a huge fan but the service was good and the food was not bad. Worth trying but I won’t go back.

Very comparable to Vietnamese food that I ate in Vietnam, circa ’97-’99. Definitely worth the drive from Carlisle.

Delicious, wonderful, fragrant Phở. Everything else on the menu is just there to push you into ordering a large order of special Phở. All the tantalizing appetizers, the sneaky rice dishes, they want you to tempt fate, to deny yourself the one thing you opened the door to consume, the one thing that makes the little beads of sweat on your forehead get just a little bit fuller, glistening jewels of indecision… Order a drink, if you must, however there is plenty to drink in the bowl placed before you — and drink you shall!

A solid new(ish) addition to the local dining scene. Phở means soup. Who knew. They focus on Vietnamese phở filled with noodles and meat and broth. Yummy and if you don’t make a mess Fyre says you are doing it the wrong way.

I am relatively new to the Phở-scene. I was never a huge fan of soup growing up, but when I was living in Memphis, my brother and I played disc golf on a really cold day in November 2014 and decided to get some soup afterwards to warm-up. We didn’t want any run-of-the-mill soup and sandwich place, so we found a local Vietnamese restaurant that served phở — something I had wanted to try for a long time. This was the beginning of my love for phở. Food: I have only been to Phở 7 Spice once, and it was with my dad in February of 2105 following my relocation to the Harrisburg area. Similarly to when I first had phở in Memphis, it was a bitterly cold day and we had just finished moving a bunch of furniture from the truck to the house. We were cold and hungry. After some deliberation, I decided that I needed some phở to warm-up. Also, for me, I just feel better after a nice hot bowl of phở. I typically order the same thing every time I get phở, Phở Tai Nam. It is essentially soup with beef(flank or other rare meat that is placed in the bowl raw, and then the hot soup is ladled over it – cooking it to medium rare). I was really pleased with my Phở Tai Nam at Phở 7 SPice. I thought it had great flavor, but it seemed a little bit watered down. Despite that, the flavor was really nice, it warmed m up, and there was an abundance of meat and noodles — which I love. Some places really skimp on the meat and noodles. This phở, like most others, came with an accessory plate of lime wedges, bean sprouts, Thai Basil, and jalapeño peppers. I love steeping all of these in my soup for about 3 – 5 minutes before eating. It totally enhances the flavor to sublime level. I like the bean sprouts because they add a really nice crunch to the soup — which changes up the generally soft texture of the phở ingredients a bit. Food: 4⁄5(Though very good, it did seem to lack some of the potent flavor I love — almost like it was watered down a bit to stretch a dollar) Service: I was pleased with our server. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt; but she was also a little stand-offish, and routine. I know, I know… it is hard to love serving tables. I served tables for a long time, so I understand their plight; but that never stopped me from giving excellent service with great personality. I like feeling welcomed where I eat — like I am a family member coming over for supper. I didn’t get that from her. Service: 3⁄5 Atmosphere: I loved the atmosphere in here. It was modern, sleek, comfortable, and even a little bit intimate. It felt totally-chill here. The long day of moving furniture just melted away as I sipped my steaming bowl of phở. I loved eating here — so much so, that I would never get take-out, unless I absolutely had to. Atmosphere: 5⁄5 Price: For a small bowl of phở it was like $ 7. For a large it was $ 8. I could never, ever eat a large; but last time it occurred to me – for one dollar more, take the extra home and have it the next day! Although I did not do that on this particular occasion, next time I definitely will. For the quality, I think it was a good value. Price: 4⁄5 Final Thoughts: Although I really loved the atmosphere at Phở 7 Spice, I will likely try some other restaurants in the area serving phở to see if I can get a quality product equal to what I got at my favorite place in Memphis. Despite that though, this place really does a good job, and I fully believe that some of the poor reviews are a little ridiculous and not truly indicitive of the quality of the food or service.

Went there on Unilocal search after furniture shop. I saw great reviews so was hoping it was good. The broth felt like a standard beef broth and now so much a «phở» broth. They were light on the noodles. Over all wasn’t too impressed. See my other reviews of countless phở places. Waiter was friendly.

This place serves up some delicious Phở. Limited menu. Clean. Really nice dining area. You wouldn’t realize based on the exterior. Service is friendly. Food is served up quickly. A really good spot.

Gotta update to five stars, because this place continues to impress. I now consider myself a «regular» here, and I haven’t been let down once by service or food quality — a rare thing, indeed. Great job, Phở 7! The Harrisburg area is truly lucky to have a spot like yours in our midst.

Who’d a thunk we could find a good Vietnamese shop in the wilds of Central Pa? Certainly not this cowboy. But, having exhausted most of the other options in the Carlisle/Mechanicsburg vicinage near the Turnpike, Unilocal alerted us to Phở 7 Spice just a few miles north on Carlisle Pike. We had the time and decided to go for a bowl of Phở to tame the beasts growling in our bellies. Angel greeted us at the door with a warm smile. She was well named. She showed us our table, oriented us to the menu, took our drink order, and was brightly curious when I mentioned I had been to Vietnam and loved the cuisine and people. We kept it simple with small bowls of Phở Ga(chicken) and Phở Tai Nam(Steak and Flank). The drinks and soup accoutrements arrived promptly. They were freshly green and alive. My mildly salty Preserved Lemonade was a thirst quencher and pleasantly different than the standard variety of squeezed lemon and sugar. The Phở arrived steamy and loaded with noodles, onions, and beef. The Chicken version likewise, with lots of chunky cluckcluck. The broth was amply savory without the need of any help in the spice department, but adding the Sprouts, Thai Basil, Jalapeño slices, and a squirt of lime boosted the oral festivities. They were excellent bowls of Phở. We didn’t have time to linger over VN coffee or other end of meal possibilities, but Phở 7 Spice has my attention and I am excited to return there on my many drives out to Carlisle to pick up my son. There is much more on the menu to be tried. The food, along with the wonderful hospitality provided by Angel and her compatriots, will bring me back many times, and doubtlessly end up in 5 Star territory. Simply, Phonominal!
