Very clean and well kept. Professional staff. I wish they had a hot tub, but they do have an indoor pool. It is difficult to see where to turn in though. Could use some better signage. Would stay again though.

I am staying here for almost two weeks. I can say that this is the first Hilton property I have ever stayed at. I am pleasantly suprised from what my uneducated opinion was of this brand. I am typically a Marriott man but would stay here anyday. Everything is crisp, clean, and staff so far has been great. Location is in a safe area and within walking distance to many restaurants.

I was extremely pleased with out stay. We have 3 young girls who had a ball swimming around the indoor pool. The free breakfast every morning is every parents dream! We ate our dinners in that area as well since our room didn’t have tables. Every single staff member we had contact with was so friendly and helpful. If I make my way back through this area we would for sure stay here!

So it looks like they have done some remodeling on this location, and all and all it seemed pretty nice.
But one thing that was scary is I left my room to go to dinner came back and realized my door didn’t lock. I had to do a Clean sweep and make sure nothing was hiding in the room! And then I realized the door wasn’t locking at all! I’m only staying for one night so after some heavy pushing I finally got the door to latch! But that’s a major safety issue. I did double bolt the door as well but still… That’s a lower rating because safety in a hotel is a must!!!

I booked this hotel for the night while we were driving from SC to Washington, DC after an entire day of work. We needed a place to crash for the night, with our dog. I called the hotel, and they said they only allowed pets under 25 lbs. I spoke with the manager, and she said it was no problem for me to bring my dog, who is 35 lbs, just to put in the notes I spoke with her. (And? They don’t charge any extra pet fees!) When we arrived, the person at the front desk was friendly and accomodating, despite the extremely late hour. I don’t have a lot of occassion to go to Mechanicsville, but if I do, I will definitely stay here again.

I think this is the nicest hotel in mechanicsville. My parents stay there when they come to visit me. They have nice rooms, nice pool, and good breakfast buffet.
