We go here quite frequently and have yet to have a disappointing and poorly prepared dish. Would certainly recommend it!

I absolutely LOVE it here! My dad has been going for a while, but my first time going there was only a few months ago. I have already been there about 6 times, and each time has been fantastic. There sushi is truly out of this world. My personal favorites are the Medfield, Naruto, and the classic California roll. There facility is clean and efficient, and the staff is very friendly. We usually get take out, and once we arrive our food is always ready to go. I highly recommend, especially if you don’t want to drive into the city for good sushi. In my eyes it’s even better!

The food is always good but the take out service is completely and consistently incompetent. Check your bag or expect to have something missing when you get home. And don’t expect them to offer you a credit when you go back to get what they forgot.

Nice ambience, interesting creative makimono rolls. Service is fair. Mistakes in take out order multiple times. Our faves: Udon yaki noodle, tuna tartar. They tolerate kids but it’s geared toward adults.

Very good sushi here. Never been disappointed. They have a huge selection and the prices are fair. I love how they combine all the rolls and special items we order onto one big boat, the presentation is lovely and also does not crowd the table with a bunch of plates. I have never had a long wait to be sat here and the food comes out in a timely manner. Great place for sushi!

I’ve visited Takara in Medfield twice. The first time was amazing! I ordered a few rolls, some sushi and sashimi and soup and it was excellent, service the first time was attentive. The second time had quite the opposite experience. we waited 30 minutes just to get our miso soup. Everything was slow. We were not asked for a second glass of wine. We ordered two rolls, one was a spicy tuna with the extra spicy tuna on top. The spicy tuna on top was a dark brown color, very fatty and didnt have that nice texture — something was off, and we were really turned off. They did take it off our bill, which was considerate. I think it made us take a sushi hiaitus! Hope we can give it another try.

I have been here a few times. The staff is always friendly and the wait has never been too long. The food is fresh. I love the sizzling bibimbap in the stone bowl. So delicious. The portion is huge too.

This is my go to place for sushi. They have a very nice place and they keep this place very clean. Prices are good and the food is great. The only bad thing I have to say is the following. It is so dam good that I don’t go into Boston to get my sushi fix!!!

I have debated this review for a long time. On the one hand in Medfield there are not too many options. On the other, for Boston prices, the bar could be higher. In the end, combination Asian restaurants always lose a star. A Japanese/Korean restaurant is a stretch. The Korean food is probably 4 stars but it is a sliver of the menu. It is not advertised this way, but many of the menu items are purely Korean.(The Bibimbap section — all signature Korean.) But on to the Japanese… I love great toro. And I will ways order it. But like Charlie Brown with Lucy and the football, the Toro here is always super chewy… Almost like silverskin layers in beef. I know it is supposed to be fatty, but they alway get the worst cut. Or horribly trimmed. Get Toro at Uni in Boston. For the same $ 15 you will get buttery smooth tuna. Here you have to force it down. A shame. I personally love amaebi. It is always on the menu here. And they never have it. I have asked probably 12 times in the last year… Never have it!?! Perhaps take it off the menu and make it a special. Try it yourself if you go here. Ask if they have Amaebi. We have been here many times and will be back. But it is the Chipotle of Japanese/Korean. OK, but not great. Places in boston put this place to shame… Oishii Boston or Chestnut Hill is comparably priced with a much higher quality. To me, the measure of a good Japanese restaurant above all is quality seafood… On this mark, two stars. Value, and service, two stars(too many forgotten orders and empty water glasses). Convenience for us is great… Just around the corner. But in the end, if you are making a trip for sushi, skip it.

Delicious sushi! This place really surprised me. I’m not from the area, and eat a lot of sushi, and was pleasantly surprise and how fresh, unique, and delicious everything was. On top of that, the service was very good — friendly and willing to suggest options for me(which I always ask). The only reason this is not 5-star is for the ambiance. The interior is clean, and the bar area is nice, but the dining area is rather drab. Could use a little design work inside. I look forward to going back!
