Al & Sons Service Station

Been getting gas here for some time. Great price. Had a tire fixed quickly, easily and inexpensively. Had oil change done quickly and correctly. Gene is a professional, the shop is immaculate and his brother sells plants and flowers on Easter and Mother’s Day that are good plants at the right time for the right place. Good shop.

My brake pad light was on in my Audi. I brought the car to Gene. Once he inspected the brakes, he told me the pads showed some wear, but were okay and didn’t need to be done. So they just recommended changing the oil because it was long overdue. I had not been driving the car for months because I was fearful of a big repair bill, given the car is older and cost several thousand 3 consecutive years. I wished I had brought it in a lot sooner! I feel comfortable taking my car to Gene, and find them to be very honest and pleasant to do business with. As a woman, it’s important to feel confident when taking my car into the shop. Al & Sons is old school — initially I stopped in for gas and they washed the windshield. I thought I was in a time warp! Ladies I recommend Al & Sons and you’ll have no worries about being taken advantage of!

I have been having my car serviced at Al & Sons for the past four or five years. They were recommended to me because of their honestly.
Indeed, when I visit another shop for an oil change, they inevitable tell me that my so-​and-​so needs fixing. I then take the car to Al & Sons and they tell me I don’t need anything done. They have saved me from doing a number of unneeded repairs.
They have replaced my brakes, and installed a new muffler over the years. (On the latter repair, the charge for the muffler part was excessive compared to what it sells for at a part store.) That was the only negative experience I have had there.
Today, I brought my car in because it was make some strange noises in a couple of places. Dave test drove the car, and then moved or secured some things that were causing the vibration/​noise. When I took out my credit card to pay, he told me to put it away.
What repair shop have you ever visited that spent time and their expertise to fix your car and didn’t charge you? Amazing.

I normally don’t make the effort to do this, but these guys deserve it. Trust is all that matters to me when it come to car repair, and I trust these guys. They provide great service at reasonable costs. They give you options.: Option A will cost $ _​_​_​, Option B will cost _​_​_​but I recommend B. They try to save you money. I took my Volvo station wagon in today. I had another estimate from my «former» local mechanic for over $ 1500. (My wife and I joke that no matter what the problem was the estimate always was always $ 1500) Al & Sons fixed the problem for just over $ 200 (less that the estimate) and my car works great.
This is not the first time these guys helped me. I wont go anywhere else now. Honest and capable, what else do you need to know.

The fact that all the previous reviewers gave Al & Sons 5 stars clearly indicates how awesome these guys are. SO professional, SO nice. Thankfully I live close to the shop so I don’t go anywhere else for gas, but I would literally drive out of my way just to give them business. I had a recent issue with my Volkswagen and Gene and David spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure out what was wrong with it. They ended up referring me to another garage but the professional way they handled the situation was beyond respectable. I am so pleased to be a customer of Al & Sons.

I drive a considerable distance, often in rush hour, to have these guys work on my car. They always tell it like it is; I have never felt overcharged or taken advantage of. I would agree that this place is a throwback to how things probably used to be. I’ve never dealt with the dad, only the brothers and they are AWESOME!

OK when it comes to care repairs it can be a bit intimidating for a girl. But whenever I go to Al & Sons I know I can trust these guys, they are honest and reliable. On a few different occasions I have had to bring my (very old) car in for service. I trust that they are doing what is necessary and not taking me for a ride. No pun intended.
My car always runs like new after a visit to David and Gene. And it’s a family owned business, how cool is that. You can tell these guys really enjoy what they do, and they are really good at it too!
