Get the side salads, they are HUGEANDSOINEXPENSIVE!!! The Asian salad with blackened chicken is the best! You won’t be disappointed! Go early, there’s usually a wait! The cheese sticks with house sauce are also delicious! Very large portions

This is a local favorite. We tried a special pizza based on the recommendation of one of the staff that sounded really good. Unfortunately, it was so salty we couldn’t even eat it. We ended up eating on the kids pepperoni, but the sauce was too sweet as well. Not sure why it’s so popular, the noise level was also beyond even TGIFridays… not for us.

The food was amazing, we ordered The Rueben Wonder pizza and The Alpha Zone calzone– and a piece of carrot cake which was HUGE-enough for 4 people. I also ordered a side Cesar Salad-best I have ever had! I will definitely go back-the service was awesome too!

This popular place has made a name for itself. I came with coworkers my first time and since we got a large half-and-half style pizza, they accidentally put the wrong thing on one of the halves. As it was delivered to our table, we were told they were making us a whole pizza of the correct toppings for free. Great customer service. We also got the cheese sticks with dipping sauce, and I recommend that if you go here you order them as well. They’re amazing. The second time I came here I got a small chipotle steak pizza. It was good, but I wish they had a chicken version. This place leans toward the expensive side, but you can’t visit Medford and not go to it.

2 ½ hrs for 7 people to have pizza. Seems crazy. It was a Wednesday night. Busy but not overly so.

The best pizza ever. We are from California and when we come up to visit or pass through to head north we always grab pizza. The pizzas are a great size and the crust is the perfect thickness not thin to be crispy but not to much dough that that’s all your eating. The different combinations of pizza is awesome. Kids love the Peter griffin and I enjoy the Garcia Bleu. It does take a while for pizza but well worth the wait.

I had really high hopes for this place. I’m from NYC and am pretty familiar with good thin crust. I Usually get a Margherita pie to assess the quality… And the Margherita at Kaleidoscope was just not up to par :( Also had the one with the Thai toppings(won some sort of award as well if the menu is to be believed) was not very good at all. In fact I could not finish my slice. Don’t really blame them for making a pizza with all sorts of sh$t that belong in a curry for the novelty aspect of it… I do however, blame myself for ordering it :(:( I’m sure they have some gems in their menu but sadly I was not able to find any. Also it is loud and crowded and certainly not worth waiting more than 10 minutes for a table. Try Rodeos in Klamath Falls instead.

I’ve been here twice. Both times closer to close. I don’t think they really close, so to speak, and wait till there is no more customers before closing. I think it is the owner who is working his ass off as Bar back, server, food runner, etc. got to love a place where the owner is engaged. My experience was really good. Pizza to order, and the wedge salad, ahhhh. If you are out of belly room take the carrot cake to go. It must weigh a pound on its own!!! Too bad I don’t get out this way more often and that I haven’t brought M yet.

When I used to live in Medford. The only place I loved going for pizza was Kaleidoscope and I always had one pizza on my mind and that was the Chicken Enchilada. Everything about it was great… You had all types of flavors going on with the enchilada sauce and the heat from the jalapenos to the cooling effects of the sour cream and fresh avocados. If you are in town, strongly recommend going here… You will not be disappointed!

We were in Medford the other week for a homeless assistance event, so we made our usual pilgrimage to Kaleidoscope. As usual, it was great. Great pizza. Great salad. Great beer selection. Great service. Reasonable prices. Fun, attractive surroundings. I’ll say it again … these guys could teach a master’s class in restaurant management. It really doesn’t get much better for affordable, local dining. And in a world that seems to be running down, their level of consistency year after year after year continues to amaze.

Probably more like 3.5 stars, but here goes… This place is immensely popular— we’ve been here during rush hour as well as off-hours, and it’s always been packed or nearly packed. Lots of families with small kids, and the acoustics are LOUD: If you’re trying to have a conversation with the person sitting across from you, you usually end up shouting. They have outdoor seating, which I suspect is a little quieter. Our visit yesterday was typical of most other times we’ve eaten here. Our server Bryan was friendly, efficient, and attentive. We’ve never had bad service at Kaleidoscope. The salads and soups are really good. Generous portions, and lots of fresh and interesting ingredients. We’ve never ordered many appetizers(other than breadsticks), but there are a lot of choices. So why not 4 or 5 stars, you might ask? The pizza, specifically the crust, is just ok. We’ve worked our way through most of the pizza menu over the years, from the most decadent to the most basic, and the common denominator has always been the flimsy crust. Yesterday we ordered basic pepperoni. It looks great on the table, but you pick it up by the crust and the whole slice immediately sags limply down toward the plate, like it’s trying to get away from you. A good crust should stand up for itself. Blistered, with a little char on the bottom, and crispy. I’ve never gotten that here. Kaleidoscope’s prices are very reasonable, and they always have a good selection of beers on tap. Good iced tea too, but like a lot of places they serve lemon slices, not wedges. Kinda tough to squeeze a lemon slice without getting it all over yourself. We’ll continue to come back here: there’s too much good stuff not to like. Just wish they could figure out that pizza situation…

Hands down a great restaurant with amazing food and the staff was great. I love that they sell Kaleidoscopes for $ 5 and yes I had to buy one.

So far, this is the best pizza I’ve had in the Medford/Ashland area. I wish this place were closer to my house! The service was OUTSTANDING. Our waitress was super patient while we figured out the menu and customized a pizza. She was upfront about the Margarita pizza there not coming with much cheese. She made suggestions, and she listened. This might sound simple, however I’ve honestly found this to be a rare experience in Southern Oregon. We ended up with a 3 cheese white pizza with spinach and peppers. It was delicious! I can’t wait to go back. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 is because it is not the super leet wood fired kind, and Sizzle Pie is still my favorite when it comes to non-wood fired pizza. However, this may only be because I’ve only had this pizza once. My opinion could easily change after a few more visits. One thing is for sure, Creekside pizza and Martolli’s need to take notes from these people. Pizza taste might be kind of subjective, but great service is not.

When I come up to visit, I can’t go wrong here as it is always good. What stands out are the staff — they are always wonderful and fun — very welcoming. You want to eat, they have all kinds of food to choose from. Depending on the weather, it is great to sit outside and enjoy the air. But even that area, they can close it off and you won’t freeze. Everything has been terrific — the salad with chicken and mandarin oranges or the Caesar are spot on. Any pizza you is gourmet delish. Breadsticks with cheese and house sauce will fill you so becareful. They are always helpful and fun. If you enjoyed the salads, you can buy a bottle of their dressing or the t-shirts are so fun you can buy one too. Best advice is order and share so you can taste a bit of everything as that is what we do! Enjoy the fun dining experience but yes they are busy!

The service and the food are both amazing! I live in CA but go to OR often to visit family. Kaleidoscope is something we all look forward to. Be sure to try their salads. I had the chicken buffalo blue. So good. The other salads looked really good. One of us got a vinegarette salad. They said it was great. Parking is in the back and is ample.

I love this place and really make an effort to come for dinner anytime I am in the area. They have the BEST whole wheat crust of any pizza place I have every been. I generally get a 10″ build my own. The marinara has a perfect balance of tomato and zing. They offer several other sauce options, but I’m a purist and prefer red sauce for my pizza. The staff are always helpful and fun. We came in a group — 9 of us, and were seated right away. The server got us water and gave us the low down and then left us to make our decisions. She returned in a few minutes and got our beverage orders. They have a good selections of micro brews and are happy to let you sample before committing to a pint. Everyone got their beers and pizzas ordered. They came out all at once(for the most part) we had one straggler. Everyone gave good reviews. The 10″ is perfect for two slices for dinner and two slices for breakfast. We ordered a dessert to share — ALL of us. We got the Mudpie and the 9 of us were not able to finish it — we are talking Texas size — super big, gigantic. And $ 7. They have a really nice outside seating area — but in the nice weather it fills up fast. The only downside to this place is the acoustics. It is lous with a capital«WHAT?» But, after a few beers, your talking loud anyway right?

I came here last week while I was on a family trip in Oregon, and I decided to try this place since it was the most popular restaurant in Medford. There were quite a few parties before us, but we were seated pretty quickly(~20 minutes). After we were seated, our waiter came by carrying two cups of beer for the table next to us, and told us he would be right with us. Upon putting the beer onto the table, the waiter spilled a whole cup of beer onto the table next to us and some of it got on my brother. He apologized and cleaned everything up, and we could tell he was embarrassed about the situation. At the end of our meal, when he was bussing our tables, he dropped a couple utensils and apologized again. Despite these occurrences, I would still say that the service was pretty good in that he was extremely friendly, and this day just happened to be an off day for him. We ordered a medium pizza for 4 people, and half of it was Thai Chicken while the other half was the Avalanche. I actually was pleasantly surprised with both pizzas. The sauce of the Thai Chicken pizza was very creamy and had a strong peanut flavor, like many Thai dishes, and although the flavors were more Americanized, all the components, the sauce, chicken, and bean sprouts, went pretty well together. The avalanche was on the heavier side, but it was also pretty good. It had pepperoni, bacon, and chicken, which is a lot of meat, but there was an even portion of each. The barbeque sauce was full of flavor and although it was strong, it did not cover the natural flavors of the meat. You could still distinctly taste the bacon and pepperoni. The actual dough of the pizza was great! The dough was chewy and had a lot of elasticity, and even the crust was yummy to eat. Besides the pizza, we also ordered a bowl of baked potato soup and a bowl of Hungarian mushroom soup. The baked potato soup was a tad too heavy for me; I could have a couple sips of it but it was super cheesy and overwhelming for my taste. The Hungarian mushroom soup was good! It was pretty light but well seasoned. The mushroom was pureed, but you could still taste the small chunks of mushroom, which was interesting because I’ve never had a mushroom purée based soup before. I’ve definitely had better pizza, but if you’re in the area and don’t know what to eat, this is a safe choice.

We like Kaleidoscope, but lets be honest – it’s overpriced and over hyped. The primary issue, besides price and hype, is the shear fact that their dough is fundamentally flawed – it does not appropriately crisp in the oven and be forewarned, if you take it to go, it WILL be soggy. I promise. Typically, dough should be conditioned for pizza, which means slight aging(a day or three in the fridge before use) and/or a dough conditioner should utilized. I’m not sure how they make their dough, but it is off, and doesn’t do well once cooked. Great service at this place overall – anytime we’ve had a problem, they are quick to correct it. They have a large menu of beer and wine. Unfortunately, the beer list has really become IPA centric, which is honestly a bore in the sea of beer we currently have available to us. Extremely family friendly, and almost always on a 10 – 30 minute wait for a table, no matter the time you go. Definitely worth the experience – it’s one of the busiest pizza joints in Oregon, but it probably won’t blow your mind if you are a pizza snob like myself.
