Contemporary Styles by Mena

I have been getting my hair cut & colored at Contemporary Style for close to 8 years. I have personally only gone to Andi, Mandi and currently Ryan, but everyone else there seems great. I’ve seen Faith & Dom move up over the years which makes the the effort put into their employees evident.
The skillset and obvious level of knowledge makes the 30+ minute drive worth it. I never have a doubt in my mind that Ryan will give me the blonde I love, and a current cut– I find a lot of other places are stuck in the passed. (and Mena is always walking by, letting you know how fabulous you look)

I have been going to this salon for a year now and there hasn’t been one time that I haven’t walked out being TOTALLY satisfied. Ryan is my stylist and this young man is AMAZING!!! He is a true artist exceptional with all aspects of hair, and catches your idea right away and makes it happen. He is honest and design your hair to fit your face and personality. The staff is also top drawer and always pleasant, helpful and caring. You can’t go wrong with Contemporay Styles by Mena.

This is the only place where I will get my hair done. I have lived in Philadelphia and in NYC, and I travel all the way back to Media for them to do my hair because they consistently do an amazing job at a great price!

Contemporary Styles by Mena has been my Salon for 3 years. Mandi has been cutting my hair as well as working with my color. Mandi is awesome and has never lead me down the wrong path. She, Andie, Ryan and Faith are all terriffic too. They are all so extremely polite and go that extra mile to make you feel at home.
The Owner Mena is a class act. She invests in extensive training for her team and they are always current with the trends and new products. She has a wonderful array of fabulous hair products and she will guide you to what product is best for you.

This place is incredible. The really cannot do enough for you. Everyone in my family goes here. I had a cut and color by Chelsea. I adored her. She was honest and helpful when determining my new cut and color. The prices are competitive and they really value their customers. They have a variety of products for sale and offer a great atmosphere. You will leave this place feeling refreshed and beautiful!

Just got another great cut and color by Mandy at Contemporary Styles. She is absolutely wonderful and offers suggestions when I mentioned that I might want a change. The stylists are so good that you good walk in and say — do whatever you want and you know you will walk out looking fabulous.
Mena runs a wonderful establishment — she knows every customer by name, treats her staff with respect and works hard to make sure her stylists get the most up to date training.
I would highly recommend to anyone.

I have been seening Andi for about a year. She cuts my hair and does a wonderful job. I have ftine hair with without any body but they were able to help me find a good cut and the right products as well.
Mena and the whole staff there are outstanding. Nice to work with and good at listening to what your problems are in order to help you get the right stylist and right cut.

I stopped by as a walk-​in, looking for a new stylist. Mena was super nice and so helpful. She set me up with Chelsea right away. Chelsea was sweet and did a great job on my hair. This is saying A LOT. Looking for a new stylist, I had my hair destroyed about a month ago at a Center City salon. I will have to wait for my «bangs» to grow out– BTW, I have never had bangs. The trip to media might be worth it!

I very much enjoy going to this salon. I was seeing Brianna there for quite a while, but she has left and now I see Ryan. I am very picky about my hair, but both stylists exceed my expectations and I have never had a bad cut here. The lady on the phone when you make a reservation can sometimes be gruff, but overall the staff is fantastic. They greet you with a coffee, tea, or water when you walk in and make you very comfortable. The price for a cut & style is right on. Its a small salon but don’t be fooled! They do a wonderful job! Also, I have a difficult work schedule and sometimes its tough to find a time to get a cut. Styles By Mena always works hard to fit me in or get me a time slot that I can work with, even if its last minute, and I appreciate that. One time I took an appointment time because it was all they had, but Mena called me the next day to say they had a cancellation and remembered I was hoping for a better time! Now that is service!

I’ve been going to Mena’s once a month for about a year and have looked great every time. Mena’s stylists are fabulous. They stay up-​to-​date by frequently attending courses in New York and always know the latest styles. The salon is friendly, clean, and upbeat. And prices are extremely reasonable! It’s the best.

I found this place online by searching for salons in media and going only by the pricing, since all I wanted was to have my hair curled for a wedding and figured that anybody could do it. By the low prices, I wasn’t expecting much from the salon, but was so pleasantly surprised!; It is very contemporary, as the name suggests; they have younger girls working there and have a full selection of hair products for you to buy.
After having my hair curled by Brianna (which looked great and cost only $ 17!), the receptionist gave me a card for 10% off a color with Brianna, so since she earned my trust in the talent department, I decided to try her out. I loved my color! She really listened to what I wanted and offered her own expert opinion, which I was happy to take. She was meticulous with my color, and it really showed in the end. I hadn’t asked for my hair to be blown out afterwards when I made my appointment, which was fine with me, but the shampoo girl/​assistant said that she had time and was happy to blow my hair out for me, and this really showed me how accomodating this salon is; they are genuinely invested in the happiness of their clients, and it really shows. And as a side note, both times that I tried to make an appointment, it was last minute, so they took my name and number in case anything came up, and both times, they called me back and let me know that they were able to fit me in!
After getting my hair styled and colored at this salon and being sooo happy with the results, I don’t plan to go back to my previous salon; the prices here are better than what you will find at any comparable salon, the service of everybody that works there is better, and you really get what you want
