Tressa always does an amazing job with my hair! I honestly get compliments on both the cut and color all the time, ever since I started going to Studio di Esthetica. I have long, layered reddish hair & one of my goals is for it to look natural — no easy task of you know anything about red hair! Tressa has a chemist’s mind, I swear! She knows just how to mix up the color to make it looking it’s the red I’ve had all my life!

As a new customer, Tressa did a great job on my hair. I came in with a lot of length and she took her time giving me a shorter, more layered look. I have asked numerous stylists over the years for a really layered cut and Tressa is the first stylist that has given me what I envisioned. Will be returning !!!

Id first like to start off saying Tressa has been such a relief since moving to Philly from Chicago back in ’12. Where I come from, once you find a hairstylist that is verbally entertaining, as well as quick and good at their art, you stick with them When I left chicago, I also left my goto male flamboyant hairdresser of 20+ years… and I am glad to say I wont be needing another hairdresser in the midst of my stay here in the philly area. Upon first arrival, Tressa definitely showed a level of proficiency and quickness that I much appreciate. And also, who doesnt love a hairdresser that is fun to gossip with for the short time youre there!(isnt part of getting your haircut the social aspect?) She runs a nice setup, its clean, has the scent of shampoo flowing through the air, and of course her dogs are just wonderful(when they are there!) The pricing is fair, but you really cant put a value on looking good. When I walk in with my mop-top, I walk out looking like a million bucks. I notice some reviews are posted with some sort of animosity towards the owner, Tressa, and not necessarily the business… I really do recommend making an appointment, especially if you arent into those budget greatclips, supercuts, bo-rics, or simply, if you want a hairdresser that is professional, and good at their art, you really need’nt look any further then here!

Update to prior review. The place only gets better. I had a no appointment and yet knowing i had a upcoming interviews they fit me in between around other customers without sacrificing service to any of them. Thats customer service and why i return time and time again.

I love this place, best haircut I’ve had since I have moved to media! Even though there was only one stylist present she wasn’t overwhelmed and handled all the clients with ease and professionalism. I don’t remember my stylist’s name but she did an awesome job on my hair cut(long layers and a face frame) and even styled my hair real quick and made it look so nice that I actually kept it like that for the rest of my day(usually I put it up in a pony tail). When I arrived she was managing highlights with one woman and a beautiful prom updo with another but managed all of us seamlessly. I thought she was charming and very welcoming– will definitely return!

I haven’t been here, but I’m reviewing the service based on the owner’s comments published right here on this page. Tressa… AREYOUSHITTINGME??? I know the pain of HATING what’s on my head but not having the heart to tell the stylist she needs to go back to beauty school. And, look at your reaction. If Chelsea had said she wasn’t happy, you would have chewed her out in person. I’m online trying to find a nice day spa and thank God for Unilocal.Our girls’ day will not be at Studio Di Estetica.

I came on Unilocal to see the reviews for this salon after having a horrible experience, and thought that I should defend Chelsea. I bought a groupon for Studio di Estetica for cut and full highlight. They gave me the youngest and(clearly) most inexperienced stylist for my groupn services. When telling her what I wanted for my hair(i have blonde hair and wanted highlights, not tough) she was confused. She made some suggestions until the owner came over and told her that doing what she suggested would ruin my hair. After HALFANHOUR of them talking over my head about what highlights could and could not be done, I told them that I no longer felt comfortable with them doing my hair, and was going to have to leave. The owner basically yelled at me that I wasted their time, and told me «good luck getting your groupon back.» Well, I complained to groupon and had my refund by the next day, so joke’s on her. This salon is hands-down the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. I think that the fact that the owner argues with those who write negative reviews on a public forum shows you the type of person that runs this salon, and what kind of salon this is. Personally, I look for a salon that appreciates their customers and wants to work with them.

Chelsea if you were not happy with the service then you shouldn’t have told you were happy when we were done. Only one person did your hair. Anyone other person that would have helped was the shampoo person washing your hair. As far as your extra charge for only $ 20 more for long hair, it was stated right on your coupon YOU bought online for over $ 100 discount you received. Not everyone can be happy, but we do try VERY hard to do so. This salon has been doing fine for 13 Yrs and has a great reputation. For the most part we have had welcomed wonderful new clients that were completely satisfied from this MAJOR discount we offered on this deal online, but sometimes no matter what one does, certain people are NEVER satisfied.
