NOTE: Carry-out only. I missed my turn to the island and found myself in this parking lot. I was hungry, it was late, and I felt serendipity. Unfortunately, despite being very expensive, the food was just OK. The scallops were not a particularly generous portion and the gravy/sauce they were in was not great. Standard french fries — I think they were dropped out of a freezer bag into a deep fryer. Cole slaw was stand out, however. For a $ 22 carry-out check, I guess I just didn’t feel like it was worth it.

We’ve eaten here a few times. The food is good, prices fair, and atmosphere is okay. Its super casual and could use a bit of sprucing up. The service is inconsistent. Seems like they go through their servers and so someone is always new & in training. The only«regular» server we’ve encountered is the owner/chef’s wife — very friendly. All in all, it’s fine for casual seafood dining. Family(kids) friendly too!

Very good!!! Coconut shrimp came with a delicious pineapple cream dipping sauce!!! Most places come with a horrible orange marmalade… just horrible. This was soo much better! We shared a few appetizers and then got the big crab platter. very good. the staff waited for us patiently as it took awhile to pick thru the crabs. we didn’t realize they were about to close. No one rushed us out. just talked to us like old friends… Casual…

Never again. Slow bad service. Dirty. Disgusting food that made three in my party feel ill. I usually try not to judge to harshly from one visit, but this place was just awful.

A nice little place. Worth the stop. Crab dip appetizer was bland, salt helped a lot. Grouper sandwich was large with a very good blackening. Good price at $ 9.95. Hush puppies were excellent. Fried platter was very good except onion rings looked frozen and were beer battered(not our thing). Good service and clean except for the soda fountain which made sodas taste bad.

Crab legs were plentiful and delicious despite not having an option of getting them prepared with an old bay type of seasoning or anything like that. Two options for melted butter… garlic butter or original. Both were yummy and complemented the crab legs well. Red parsley potatoes were nothing special and I wish I had passed on them. The restaurant has a decent ambiance. Nothing special but not a complete dive either. However, as the sun went down there didn’t seem to be any lights in the dining room. It got very dark in there before I finished my meal. Server was not very attentive to me though I watched her spend extra time and provide good service to her other table(a much larger table and I was by myself. bit sure if that contributed to her lack of attentiveness to me or not.) It took her an unreasonable amount of time to check back with me after my food was delivered and then I never saw her again until she brought my check. Never asked if I wanted a second glass of wine. Plain Cheesecake is not good. Give one of the other desserts a try instead.

Pretty disappointed. The food was average and the atmos resembles the former fast food joint that was there before. It’s a waterfront restaurant, use it. It’s shocking to me that they haven’t put a dock in and capitalize on the location. It just feels like ownership doesn’t take pride in what they do anymore. Bummer

If you like seafood then get your butt here. The portions are amazing, the price is very good and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant itself is very clean. Sunday’s might be the best day to go. It’s slower in there due to the owner being off and the locals know it’s slow. Not that it’s a bad thing. It made for a very pleasant experience. Did I mention the food? I had the fisherman’s platter for one, it was enough for about 3 – 4. You won’t leave hungry from here for sure. Next time we’re in town this will be a regular dinner spot for us. The menu is very good as well, it has many good selections for non-seafood lovers as well. The pasta looked very good and from the sounds of the people who ordered it, it was just as good. What are you waiting for? Get here and eat!!!

The service and food were excellent! We sat outside, were waited on promptly, and checked back with several times. My four year old son was with us and the waitress was very personable with him. She even gave him a free ice cream!

Visiting Melbourne for the weekend, my family and I decided to give this spot a try for dinner. We were all in the mood for seafood, and this place did not disappoint! From the outside, it looks a little hokey. We weren’t sure if we going to have options for non-fried seafood, but a quick look at the menu showcased a huge selection of options, even for the non-seafood eater. There is a huge patio overlooking the water, but since it was chilly we opted to sit inside at a picnic table next to the pond/fountain thing in the middle of the dining room. Lots of jokes about the seafood coming from this fountain were made. The hostess explained the picnic tables were set up so groups who order crab have plenty of room to spread out. Makes sense. Our server was really friendly and took good care of us. We started with the crab dip, which was served with tasty tortilla chips. Very creamy and the saltiness from the chips made it a perfect combo. All of the seafood options looked really good, so we decided to order three and share everything. The Mahi Blue Lagoon was by far my favorite dish. We requested it blackened, and with the melted bleu cheese on top, it was perfection. The Grouper Atlantis, covered in crab meat and a tasty white wine sauce was also really good. I liked dipping my broccoli in the sauce. Our third entrée was the Robin’s Bake, which was crab meat mixed with romano cheese and a very rich cream sauce. The crab meat was a little lost in all the stronger flavors. I think this dish would be good with pasta to mix with the sauce, but by itself it was too much sauce and not enough crab. Overall it was a nice relaxing meal. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, as we were expecting this to be your typical fried food kind of place. We left full and happy with the great service.

Had our sons wedding rehearsal dinner at the crabhouse. Robin, Bernard & Vanessa made the experience so delightful. Well be back again and again

All frozen. Not one kind of fresh fish. The owner instructs servers to lie about stuff being fresh and making the desserts. One dessert made on site. We live in Florida and theyre too cheap to get fresh fish? 24.95 for improperly cooked prime rib? Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Wife and I took a daycation up to Melbourne to try out this crab house. Like others we were a bit apprehensive when we pulled up to only one other car in the parking lot on a Friday afternoon. We were welcomly greeted by Bernard, who we came to find out was the owner. He suggested we try the rock shrimps, which we had never heard of before and are glad we tried. They were awesome! ! Wife had the king crab legs and I had the fried seafood platter. Both we realitvley good, but it was the customer service that puts them at 5 stars. Bernard and his team are a shining beacon for others trying to find their way.

This place was recommended by some people at our hotel. So happy it was! This is a less touristy place(with less touristy prices) with a family owned feel. The owner even came over and sat with us for a while and brought us a sample of the crab bisque(heavenly!). I had the crab sampler(more than I could eat), my husband had the prime rib(way bigger than the menu said it would be). They where both perfectly delicious. The key lime pie is the real deal. Highly recommend!

Come here for the food; not the ambiance. Had a nice dinner here out on the back deck. The crab cakes were good but the sides(steamed broccoli and rice pilaf) were just okay. My dining companion ordered the Fisherman’s Platter for 1 and it came with a ton of food. Be prepared to sit there for a while if someone at your table orders this platter. We finished with a slice of the key lime pie, which was fabulous. Apparently, the pie is a special recipe by Robin, the owner. Overall, solid food choice if you want seafood but I give it no points for the atmosphere.

Let’s face it, this place is not an upscale restaurant more along the lines of a true shack, but the food and service make up for the atmosphere. If you’re looking for crab cooked perfectly and at a good price, come here. Our waitress(Katrina I think) was beyond friendly and actually steered us into ordering a less expensive option than what we were going to order(get the Ultimate Feast for 1, but more then enough for a couple). I noticed the king crab was smaller on our Ultimate Feast than the kings on the king crab 1 and ½ lb specific orders, but cooked perfectly regardless. The $ 2.00 steamed broccoli, hush puppies, and potatoes were better than I expected too. Definitely worth the stop! Oysters were also tasty, not sure what kind, looks like we already ate a few in the pic I posted, oops, I revealed the secret in preparing the perfect oyster.

The best crab house Ive been to. *Family owned and operated* Every type of crab I could’ve asked for. Every crab dish I could’ve asked for! Came to the beach just looking for a place like this. Drinks were good. Atmosphere is good. Staff & owner are phenomenal. Want to go back every time I’m in Melbourne.
