Looking for food while hungry always goes great for me! I was really hungry Sunday morning, but waited until about 11:30ish to get food. I’ve heard a lot of great things about Café Eclectic and decided to give it a try. Parking wasn’t so great… but the food was worth the walk! The inside décor reminds me of a breakfast/brunch place that would be located in Lake Tahoe. I love the«lumber type» of benches that are placed at majority of the tables. They also sale locally made items, such as hand bags and mugs. I was so undecided on what to get, so I had the B.E.C. quesadilla and B.E.C. waffole(I’m spelling it how it is on the menu… thank you). The service was quite fast and the food was delicious.

I’m not high on having to go to the counter to order my food. It’s uncommon but I’m uncommonly lazy. The food is okay. The eggs were average but the bacon was really good. The price for it is a little expensive considering the portions. The Nutella waffold is to die for! I love it. I could eat it everyday but sadly I am only visiting. I recommend trying that is nothing else!

I don’t know why I go to the other location, ever. This place is less crowded, the food is better, the staff is nicer, etc. Got their salted caramel mocha and it was sweet but good. My husband got the Fire & Ice and he really enjoyed that, as well.

One of My favorite places to chill after classes. Wifi is only good inside, Service is quick, and respectful I recommend The Star&Micey drink: Espresso with chocolate and milk with a healthy amount of whipped cream* It’s perfect for your sweet tooth and wonderfully named after a great local band. The cook in the back is cool, he came up to me personally with the food and we talked about Nintendo games for a short bit. I love this place.

When you first enter café eclectic, you can definitely feel the natural ambiance and vibe to the place. It’s a very relaxed feeling and is a great atmosphere to eat a refreshing lemon bar or to sip on a unique coffee blend. The cashier/barista there was super nice and generous and offered us water even though we were only eating a lemon bar. Would recommend +10 stars

Our group decided to go to Café Eclectic today for Brunch. I decided to try the Chicken and Waflle. My chicken was moist, tender and full of flavor; the crust was just the right crunchiness. The waffle was cooked well — golden brown, but not overcooked. Others had omelets, egg sandwiches on fresh baked chibatta bread, French Toast — all of them good. Although we had to wait for several people’s food to arrive, we did a large group. Also, they made several return visits to be sure everyone had plenty of coffee — nice. It had a very inviting layout — even outdoor seating — that made it a relaxing visit. I did see several coffee choices I didn’t have time to try, perhaps I’ll have to go back again. On the whole, it was a good experience for our first visit. Check them out the next time you’re in the area.

Love this little neighborhood café — the outdoor seating is a winner. Food is delicious, service is excellent(much better than the midtown location). Was a little smoky inside(kitchen smoky, not cigarette smoke), but so are the other two locations, so that may just be a café eclectic thing :-/

This location has such nice staff! My family and I ate ate this location tonight and really enjoyed everything. There was plenty of seating, high chairs were easily available for my nephew, it was clean and had ample seating, and best of all, the food was fantastic! When there was a little snafu with our order time, the staff gave us free pastries with our meal and were so incredibly nice. We normally visit the location on N. McLean Blvd, but after visiting the Highland location, I’d recommend both equally now. Their service is wonderful and I love that they offer a nice variety of food and drinks on their menu. If you do visit this location, you can park at a nearby church, near Trilogy Tattoos, or across the street near Lenny’s.(Parking is a little tricky, but it’s worth the short walk!)

Alright, so I haven’t had any coffee. So that may be wonderful, but I don’t know. I have had a tofu wrap and the hummus platter. Meh. The tofu wrap was just ok, but I’m not a fan of paying for things that I feel like I could do just as well at home. The not a big fan of their hummus either. It kinda tasted like there was sour-cream in there(maybe there was, if so then oops I’m a bad vegan). Vegan or not, it was a weird flavor. Also, kind of saddens me that there weren’t any vegan ice-cream options, because all of their cutesy little treats sounded like fun. Maybe people who aren’t vegan will enjoy the food more. If I ever grab a coffee here, I’ll update. But that seems unlikely since special milks are an extra dollar.

This is my second time here today, the first was for a quick coffee/food run for my husband and I a couple days ago, and this second time is to have a sit down, get some emails done and have long stints of refilled coffee and possibly, but not limited to, an epic cake donut. This is the first time I’ve been to a coffee shop where the wait service actually works. They’ll come up and refill your coffee for you, and I was pleasantly surprised that when I got up to order a donut, the guy working said«don’t worry I can bring it to your seat, you don’t have to wait in line — we’ll cash you out before you leave.» DANG I MISSEDTHESOUTH! I got the spinach & egg(minus feta) english muffin, which to my surprise was on an actual home made(?) english muffin, not a store bought one. The sandwich was super fresh. The coffee is a perfect brew, and I think I’m on my third cup. Usually I don’t write reviews while I am at the establishment, but I’m having a great time here and had to express to everyone how great this place was before I went sans wifi again/forgot. The staff here are so awesome and don’t make me feel rushed/unwanted for sitting here on my laptop and getting some work done. I even got a facetime call in without it seeming uncomfortable/too loud. I just moved to the area so I ask a lot of questions, and they answer it without any weird hesitation no matter how strange my questions are(IE: can i park across the street, «yeah totally,» can I take up a whole table with my laptop? «oh course!» and so on.) Hopefully they are as nice as they seem, because they’ll be seeing a lot more of me here.

This is a very convenient location because it is really close to the U of M campus. The people that work here are incredibly friendly and so are the owners. Love the little terrariums they have on the tables! The space is large enough and it doesn’t feel very crammed. Their beverages are always on point. Food has been a hit or miss for me. Sometimes it’s delicious and perfect, and sometimes it’s cold and flavorless. I’ve been both pleasantly surprised and morbidly disappointed with what I’ve ordered here. The main reason why I avoid eating at this place is because the kitchen is in the same space as the restaurant itself, and when I eat there, I end up smelling from head to toe like their food. I hate smelling like food. I especially hate it when my hair completely soaks up the smell and then I have to put up with it all day. Other than that, I usually pop in when I’m in a hurry to get food or coffee to go. It’s not bad, but not great.

It was really cleared out when I went yesterday to do some work, so I got special attention. Their balsamic vinaigrette is whipped(awesome). Places to plug in your computer…

i like this café eclectic ALOT more than the other ones mostly due to space, lighting, and younger-feel(due to it being around the U of M campus). They have these massive windows that allow for tons of natural light to float into the café for better reading and instagram pics. :P i love the succulents that they have placed around the area, it adds a nice touch to it! they have outdoor seating and indoor booth seating as well as these study couches with a coffee table in between. The food is standard and the drinks are great. I would highly recommend this travelling a little further down just a few min to check it out if you’re a frequent café going or eclectic lover. When we go for BroJs and the wait is long, we like to walk over here to chill and have some coffee/waste time before our names are called up to eat!

First off I loved the set up of the café. I was so in love with the décor and massive chalkboard wall. I really wanted to sit in the purple chairs but just sat in the booth instead. I got up to menu hanging up, I saw the different food options and the pastries. There was a floor sign that stated they had chicken and waffles. Since it was about 1 and I didn’t eat breakfast, I wanted to have lunch and breakfast. The cashier had to go check to see if the cook could cook it… she said no(major bummer, but glad). Then I asked if she could just make the waffle(cashier had to check again) she said yes. I also ordered a salted caramel mocha(my fav). My bestie is in town from Chicago, she order tea and a BLT. Once we got our table… we waited about 5 minutes and my waffle came out. A few minutes later my coffee came out. Then a few more minutes my friends food came out. The waited wasn’t as long as it seemed in the wording. My friend loved her BLT and tea. I loved my coffee but I wasn’t pleased at all with the waffle. It was undercooked in the center. Weirdly it has the taste of a Cheeze-It(weird, yes I know) but I ate it anyway because I paid for it! The atmosphere was simply outstanding. I love coffee and I can say they are better than Starbucks. I told my friend that they make Starbucks look like the McDonalds of coffee. Next time I will try one of the salads or sandwiches, because they did look good!

Not as great this time around. Iced tea was good, as were the eggs, melon, and oatmeal. But the chicken soup was terrible. I regret ordering a full bowl. Update: Ok, so maybe my last review of the chicken soup was a bit harsh. Which is not to say it was good… But in a city with so few decent breakfast places, Café Eclectic is certainly a force for good.

I love everything about this place. I could eat here every single day. If you’re going for breakfast, you MUST get the lox and bagel. It’s to die for. Also order a Cream Brulatte. It’s life changing, I promise. My husband had the bacon waffle with a side of sausage patties. They have a great lunch and dinner menu, too!

I stop by this place near the University of Memphis for coffee and food sometimes. Have always found it clean, friendly, and convenient. Parking is a problem, though. There is only nearby street parking which is often full.

Great coffee and wonderful customer service. It also is super clean and seems like a fabulous place to work from or to host a team meeting. The only downside is parking. I spent longer looking for parking than I did grabbing coffee. This location clearly caters to local pedestrian traffic. If you’re in a hurry this may not be a great choice, but if you have some time or are on foot — check them out!

I’m a fan, y’all. I’m a fan. I’m absolutely in love with this location… and super excited that they are literally down the street from my house. The food is fresh and delicious and I couldn’t get over how nice the staff was… especially with their recommendations about the menu. They have wifi and it is a perfect«office.» Their chai latte is absolutely beautiful and pastries are so yummy! I can’t wait to go through all of their breakfast sandwiches…
