Delivery was on time and on point! The food was hot and flavorful when it got to my door. I stuck with a classic, vegetable lo mein, and they definitely made sure I got all the vegetables in. The prices seemed steep at first, but the amount and quality of food certainly are worth it.

Great food, great prices AND they deliver. I’m going to miss them when we move. I love their General Tsaos chicken, and the crab ragoons.

Ordered take-out from here a few weeks ago. Just moved here that day and hadn’t set up my kitchen, so I was looking for something cheap, quick, and close by. Based on the reviews on this site, I figured Wang’s was a good bet. On the plus side, I got 3 meals out of a combo dinner, so that helped mitigate what I thought was a fairly high price for strip-mall quality Chinese food. OK food, but certainly not very good or great. Now, on the down side … Price was not cheap at $ 12(incl. tax) for my dinner. And they didn’t even have my standby favorite, General Tsao’s chicken. That wasn’t on the combo dinner menu, so it would have been an extra $ 2. I already thought the food was expensive so I didn’t want to pay even more. The fried rice included in the combo was plain fried rice — not even pork fried rice or vegetable fried rice. To top it off, when I got home with my dinner(all of ½ mile away) I discovered that my egg roll was barely warm. It obviously wasn’t cooked fresh(or even kept under a heat lamp) because it wouldn’t have cooled off in the 3 minutes it took me to get home. Overall, a disappointing experience and I’m being generous with 3 stars. But there was a lot of food, like I said, I had 3 meals out of it.

When I went to the University of Memphis, this was one of my favorite places. They have the BEST crab rangoon in Memphis! I just wish they would deliver chop sticks with your order without you having to ask.

Let me start by saying that I wasn’t impressed when I went inside. The ambiance was of an office building turned restaurant overnight. Not to mention the cashier handling my cash, then going back to cutting green beans(good thing I didn’t order any of that). I got the General Tso’s chicken and egg drop soup. The chicken was good, the rice, well, it was rice. And the egg drop soup was lacking in taste. The reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because it wasn’t terrible, I give it an average. Next time, wash your hands after handling money!

After reading all the reviews saying this was the best Chinese in Memphis I had to try it. What a joke. I’ve had better Chinese is my small hometown. The sesame chicken was beyond dry and the sweet&sour chicken was super crunchy. Had no idea chicken was suppose to sound like chips when you ate them. Don’t read all into the hype of this place. Do yourself a favor and find the nearest Panda Express.

I ordered takeout for my first experience. Went in with a craving for Hot and Sour soup on a cold rainy day. I also went ahead and ordered General Tsao’s for my boyfriend and I to split. Portions were great. The Hot and Sour soup was exactly what I was craving. Very good with bits of meat and tofu amongst the veggies. The General Tsao’s was just OK though. I like this dish more spicy than sweet. This reminded me of a mix of orange chicken and sweet and sour. Had a bit of heat but the sweetness was overwhelming enough that I really needed to eat only a tiny bit at a time. Also no veggies… some broccoli would have really rounded out the sweetness. Probably won’t order this dish again but thumbs up on the soup!

We just recently moved out east and ordered from this location. It was really, really good for cheap Chinese delivery! I had the sweet and sour chicken and it was very plump and full of meat. My husband had the sea same chicken and it was great, too! We will definitely be ordering from them again!

Healthy, fast, and cheap. That is Wang’s Express on Highland. I have been ordering the fried bean curd since the beginning. The fried rice is not greasy, and the staff are nice when placing orders. Be aware that Wang’s has an effect like no other Chinese. It will ACTUALLY fill you up without the I-am-already-hungry feeling after lousy buffet food.

The food is always fresh and seasoned well. But only four stars because unless you get the $ 6 buffet, everything else is in large portions and a bit pricey. And the staff are always attentive, no matter how busy. Love the Crab Rangoons!

It’s amazing how good the food is for how unassuming the restaurant looks! I ordered the Ta-Chin chicken special with the hot and sour soup, and was blown away. I’ll definitely be returning!

My favorite Chinese delivery and take out. Consistently excellent, great hot and sour soup, steamed dumplings, and good egg rolls. Service is always fast, friendly, and affordable. I especially like their twice cooked pork and harvest lamb dishes but wish they offered brown rice.

This restaurant is one of my boss’s favorite lunch spots, so I’ve been here a couple of times for a «working lunch» — which usually means that we’re talking about work while stuffing our faces. There is nothing fancy about Wang’s, but the lunch buffet is always hot and fresh(refilled often), and I’ve detected zero MSG in their food(I have a terrible allergic reaction to the stuff, so the fact that I’ve eaten here twice without problems is a good sign). At $ 6.50 for all-you-can-eat buffet, it is a decent value if you want to fill up on noodles, fried rice, and vegetables. Lily, the lady who runs the place during the daytime, is very friendly and once had the kitchen keep making food past lunch buffet hours because we walked in late. My biggest complaint is that the buffet plates are styrofoam, and the utensils are plastic, which makes this tree-hugger shudder. Maybe next time I’ll bring my own(reusable) plate?

BESTFRIEDDUMPLINGS! I don’t know how authentic this place is, but I do know it is excellent. I love the quality of the food. When I lived at the University of Memphis this was the place I went to for my Chinese fix as it’s right near campus and they deliver. They give a lot of food and are very friendly. They also do discounts for college students if you have your student ID and pay cash. I highly enjoyed their Red Ginger Chicken, Chicken with Sizzling Crisp Rice, and Curry Chicken. Their Egg Drop Soup doesn’t have that icky aftertaste that you get at cheaper places so that’s a plus, but it doesn’t taste that great with the thingies added in(I cannot remember the name of it right now) I also loooooove their fried dumplings. They taste like nothing I’ve ever had before. Try them with the soy sauce that comes with it. I’m getting cravings just thinking about it. I’m just sad I live in Collierville now so I can’t get this as often as I’d like. Want to Try: Dragon and Pheonix(spicy) Loved: — Fried dumplings — Red Ginger Chicken — Chicken with Sizzling Crisp Rice — Curry Chicken Ok: — Steamed dumplings — Egg drop soup Disliked: — Hot and Sour Soup — Hunan Chicken

Cheap but fresh American-Chinese food place priced right near the university always have my love. This is certainly better than eating at Tiger Den. And I don’t think there is another place close by that serves food as consistent and fresh than here. That said, yes, it’s not very authentic. But there are few things I like here. Beef with Bamboo and Mushroom, fried chicken and rice, and cold noodles. I typical just get the $ 6.50 buffet for a quick lunch break. If I live closer to here, I suppose I will likely get take-out here often to satisfy my American-Chinese needs, not because it tastes authentic, but rather because I can expect fresh vegetables in the dish on the cheap.

Nice staff and great food. Never had a bad experience and they get your food out fast! Be sure to stop in and try the«Happy Family.» More food than you can eat at a reasonable price. Good stuff!

Cheap, good Chinese with a wonderfully no-nonsense woman who runs the show – she prefers if you don’t use credit cards since it’s such a small business, so try to bring cash. If you’re looking to grab lunch nearby between classes at U of M, there is a student buffet for $ 5.50 from 2−4pm on weekdays, which includes a drink… you can even grab a refill on the way out for that caffeine fix before any boring lectures. I recommend the curry rice and any of the chicken dishes.

I always get the chicken and broccoli so I can only comment on it — magnificent! The portion is always so huge that I can make two meals out of it, if I’m not hungry enough to eat it all. Kinda sterile for a sit down place, so I always get my food to go.
