This place is great, safe, complete with all the amenities I need, and has an incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Moving from 1100 miles away, I felt right at home living here, and the nice people at the Stratum made the physical move probably as easy as I could have hoped for. There are a lot of undergrads that live here, as this place is so close to the university. I can’t lie, Thursday thru Saturday, and any night before school holidays, it may feel like a scene out of a Tech N9ne or Andrew W.K. song. Even then, I can always get some good sleep and get done what I need to. Kelvin, Jarvis, Reagan, Alex, Kee, Sonny, and everyone else on the staff are really cool, and each could be teaching seminars on customer service if they felt like it. Furthermore, everything in my apartment works, and if it doesn’t, it gets fixed before I can even remember it’s broken. Sure, the internet is sometimes a couple clicks slower than i’d like it to be, and the bathrooms in the quads are set up in a curious but still very useful fashion. Ultimately, the security is on point, the location is choice, the people are good, and the price is very reasonable for a 4– bed 2 br. If you’re looking to live in the area, particularly if you’re a grad student like myself, give the Stratum a look, and tell the staff I say whatup!

Évaluation du lieu : 3 Washington, DC
I lived in the Stratum when it first opened up with 3 other girls that I did not know. Honestly, putting me with 318 years, and with me being 22 at the time was the worst idea they ever could have come up with. If you move into this place, do it with friends, because you may not get some people you want to share your life with for the next full year. OK. With that being said… the Stratum is a decent place. I actually enjoyed it. I lived there past my lease expiration where the rest of the roommates moved out, and I got to have a 4 bedroom apartment to myself. Now do not expect that to happen because by this point, I am sure they are full capacity. At the time it happened though, I enjoyed only paying for my rent and not the whole 4 bedrooms. The keys are electronic which are only unique to your specific unit and to your bedroom. So no giving your boyfriend or mother a spare. Don’t lose it either! it will cost you a $ 75 service charge to replace it. All rooms come fully loaded with cable, internet, furnished, and with gated parking. Other perks include the open outdoor patio area, exercise room, electricity and free tanning for one solid price. At the time I was living there in December 2008 — May 2010, my rent was $ 680. Since then, I believe they finally got a clue and lowered the prices to something more along the lines of $ 550 – 650. It is cheaper than when I was there. Mynders and Highland isn’t a bad area to live in. The only complaint I would have is that you have the Highland strip right outside your window. Which is never good if you are trying to study for a test at 2am. All in all, this place is nice for the University of Memphis area, and would be a good first apartment. It is the only one I know of in the area as well and newest. Management stays consistent on making sure your unit is in full repair as well. Downside, living with people you don’t know, sharing a bathroom with a roommate, and the steep pricing, but once again… that may not be the case for it now. Enjoy renting!
