Hunan Palace

Huge portions of both fried rice and kung pao chicken. Yes, you can def share. And yes, i’ve had better, but the service was fast for a to-​go and the food was tasty. The menu is very Americanized and limited. But I guess it is Memphis.

Unfortunately, Memphis doesn’t have a whole lot of Chinese restaurants to choose from, so when I find one I like I tend to go back time and again. This is true of Hunan Palace as well.
The food here is your typical Chinese-​American, with traditional dishes like Fried Rice in assorted flavors and varieties, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Pork and, of course Egg Rolls and Won Ton Soup. All of which are very good and taste freshly prepared. They have a nice (and budget friendly) buffet here for just $ 10 with most all of the above mentioned items on it.
But my favorite here is the Kung Pao Chicken. It’s hot and spicy and the portion size is huge. I always have plenty to take home for lunch the next day.
