Ok, I have been here two times. Honestly, the atmosphere is not that great, I mean it’s not bad enough to bring a rape whistle, but it could be a little more fun for sure. Let’s get to it Lewis! I find the burgers and fries to be pretty solid! Good size, good taste! However, the price point just does not match up with what you get. I think people would rather not pay for fries separately. Gives us less fries if you must, but at this price point please include them in with the price of the burger. My last thought is burger places should have milkshake/malt options. I get there are plenty of other drink selections, but shakes complete the trinity that take us to the promise land. I have great friends that love LBOE though. However, to me it’s kind of like going to prom with a below average looking girl, not the best to look at but she can dance. That’s how I feel about LBOE. Good burgers but nah on the experience.

I like this place ok. The interior, as other reviewers have noted, is not much to write home about. The covered patio is promising especially for our bright Memphis summers, but when I went it was being monopolized by a single smoker, which meant that the whole thing was full of cigarette smoke and nobody wanted to be there(gross). Bathrooms are what you’d expect in a dive. Beer selection is aight. I had a classic with pepper jack on a black bean patty which was standard-level good. I also ordered fries with nacho cheese, which I might not do again. All in all, this is a good burger joint. I might go to it more often if it weren’t right down the street from a couple of other very-solid burger joints. Or if the awesome patio was non-smoking.

Ok first off this place has really good burgers and a great menu along with a solid atmosphere. Altogether deserves a 4 star but because of the service I got it has been demoted to a 3 star. I have a online food review show called Dine01 on YouTube go check it out! So me and the crew went to go try their purgatory burger challenge(offered on their instagram) which is an extremely spicy burger with 9 different peppers which you have to finish under 20 minutes! My co host and our special actually did and completed the challenge but it wasn’t as «cool» as hyped up to be on their social media page or any other food challenge promoted by a restaurant. Our waitress was this short midtowny hippy girl with glasses who had ok manners at first but when we mentioned wanting to do the burger challenge she was kinda like«ok cool» with a pause then asks can we show proof of the challenge and the fact that if you complete the challenge your meal is free along with a t shirt. We were all baffled and just show her the ig post and she obliged and took the order with a snarky smile. Once the burgers were brought out you would think there would be some kind of hype or clock or someone to show like hey these people are about to take on this challenge we advertise, but no there wasn’t any. So after we looked around for a second and flagged her down asking if she would start the 20 min clock to begin the challenge and she pulled out her phone and said ok go you have 19 minutes like uh… But all in all they finished the burger challenge got the shirts and meal free. I ordered just a classic burger that I would rate a 8.9. The bread they use for the burgers is excellent and the meat itself it seasoned well. I hope this helps!

We’ve been here more than a few times. The food is never disappointing but I can’t say the same for service. If you’re an adventurous burger eater they have a variety of creative deliciousness. And if you’re grabbing Togo food check your order. I’ve been shorted and charged a Togo fee.

First let me say that I really enjoyed the feel of the place. I felt welcomed and enjoyed the service. Our waitress was on top of things. My momma had the nachos and wow the meat was hot, hot, hot! Be aware that if you suffer from acid reflux you might not want to order them. I had the Mac and Cheese burger and was not impressed at all. The meat was slightly burnt on the edges and the Mac and Cheese was really bland. The bacon tasted old and stale. My step dad had the regular burger and didn’t even finish it cause it didn’t have much flavor and was not cooked properly. I highly doubt that I will be a return customer. There are too many really great burger places in town. For this to be a burger place, it is not on its game at all. They really need to step up the flavors.

First time eating here. Came here on a Saturday night I think, it was just me & my sis. It was a long wait to get seated, waited about 30 mins. Our server was very attentive & checked on us very often, so that’s a plus. I ordered the macaroni burger, it was very bland to me(maybe because I forgot to ask for condiments to be added) & took very long to come to me.

I love the burgers here. They taste like homemade(to me) and are just the right amount of juicy and unhealthy. I first had their burger at BurgerFest this past fall and was impressed with everything but the bun. I finally made it into the restaurant a couple of weeks ago and was happy with the food(those FRIES!!!) but wasn’t too impressed with the restaurant itself. I was surprised to find that they had changed zero things about the interior of this location since its previous occupant left. I mean, it literally looked like the same old dive that it used to… lack of tables and all. It has a pool hall/bar vibe instead of a restaurant, which was not at all what I was expecting. But, the food is its saving grace and I do love their burgers. I’ll be back, regardless of how I feel about the atmosphere!

Holy Smokes! I am so behind on reviews. Now that things are a bit slower I am going to get caught up starting with LBOE! The Bloody Mary’s and burgers are so DELICIOSO! When I saw they had a burger with both bacon and onions on it that I was in a goooood place. The fries are great too. They were an appetizer and had two different dipping sauces. The service is a little slow but food is so worth it. I will definitely be going back. Photos to follow – get ready because you’ll want to go today once you see them. :)

I finally got to try LBOE. I had The Grizz which was a double burger with twice the helpings of hardwood smoked bacon, yellow and American cheeses, BBQ sauce, with lettuce and tomatoes. Served with my choice of voodoo chips, it was absolutely delicious! Our waiter was a little off his game, so the experience wasn’t the best. I did enjoy the food though! It was big enough that I was able to eat it as 2 open-face sandwiches; I saved one for lunch the next day :)

The El Diablo burger with bacon was delicious and Justine the bar tender is the best!

The food is great. Lots of delicious and unique burgers to choose from with quality ingredients. Décor is fine, with a classic rock soundtrack if that’s your thing. Burger prices are competitive. The not so good: the service wasn’t the best, refills weren’t happening and we sat at our table for about 10 – 15 minutes after we were done eating just waiting for our server to remember we exist and bring us our check. The big issue that is very agitating, is this is a burger joint, but French fries are NOT offered as a side. You get a bag of chips to go with the burger. LBOE does offer fries but it costs $ 5 for a large plate of them. This is kind of frustrating and seems to be a money grab since a lot of people prefer fries with a hamburger. It is beyond lame that you can’t get a lesser portion as a side for a more reasonable price. LBOE please fix your fry problem.

I like this place. Great selection of beer, menu is great and they have specials each night of the week. My only compliant is the speed at which the food is prepared. It took over 30 minutes to get 2 burgers with bags of chips while sitting at the bar. I saw our server enter the order right away, so I assume it was the kitchen that was slow. Good was so good that we will definitely give this place another try soon. I was told they have the NFL Sunday ticket so that is a plus!

It was Sunday night after a long and exhausting day, and we needed a meal that would hit the spot. This did it, without a doubt. LBOE is located in a pretty part of town and has a convenient parking lot. Once inside, the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We ordered the regular nachos as appetizers, and there were simple but very good, and the cheese dip was particularly good. I had the El Diablo burger with a beef patty and my girl had the LBOE with turkey. Both were exceptionally good and big enough to leave you very satisfy. Their selection of burgers seemed pretty unique, and judging by their social media pages they make up new ones almost every day. The service was a little lacking and slow but I can give it a pass because it was a Sunday night after all. I will visit again!

I’m disappointed. Used to be one of my favorites and I couldn’t wait to tell friends about it. But one of my favorite servers let me sit in his section for 1.5 hours without speaking to me. After the first 30 minutes I went to the bar and got my own beer. He watched me do it. Still never approached me, even though he waited on the table next to me. So I got my second beer from the bar too. And my water. And I obviously didn’t order food. How does this even happen? It’d be understandable after the first half hour if he came over and rectified the situation… but nothing. So weird… and really unprofessional.

Just ok nothing great. Not saying it was bad just if you advertise yourself as the best ever you will be judged accordingly. Was a bit over priced. Medium rare was very well done. Fries cost more only a bag of potatoes chips comes with the burgers. A good beer selection could not overcome the fact that the only way this would be best best burger on earth is if it were the last burger on earth.

My experiences at this place has been great. I don’t care for chips with my burger, so I do think they should just offer fries instead of you having to order and pay for fries separately(Its a burger joint, people want fries damn it), but the burgers I have had have been delicious. Yesterday, I the Madison Melt that contained all beef patty, bacon, ham, grilled onions, cheese and a sweet bbq sauce! It was out of this world! The burgers here are large enough where I rarely eat more than half. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was really cool. They have improved tremendously since my first visit.

This will satisfy your burger cravings! We went with the loaded fries, The B.O.M.B. and the El Diablo. The shoestring fries are topped with queso, bacon and jalapeños. It took four of us to kill an order — it’s huge and deliciously sticky. The burgers were very quick to come out — less than ten minutes and closer to five. The B.O.M.B. is dressed in bleu cheese crumbles, grilled onions, mushrooms and a three or four strips of bacon. It’s perfection on a bun. The boyfriend hates bleu cheese and mushrooms and was very pleasantly surprised by the overall flavor. He ordered the El Diablo covered with pepper Jack and three types of hot peppers along with other toppings. You always see menu items noting that the item is spicy and understand that this means«general public» spicy. This is NOT the case with this burger! It lives up to the name! We regularly eat hot foods and this brought out a little sweat on both of us! They serve a variety of local chips and beers. The evening we tried the place out, it was during their Beat the Clock promotion. Essentially all draft beers are $ 1 at 8:00 and increase in price by $ 0.25 each quarter hour until 10:00. The place filled up fast and they were actively pulling empties from tables to keep up with the demand. Apparently they were even busier than usual on that particular evening. It’s a good problem to have! The patio is a very cute and cozy covered situation. I’m a sucker for a patio! I’ll be back to try their funnel cake fries with strawberry dipping sauce and I think I heard something about a pancake brunch burger?! Yes, please.

So I checked this place out this week for Unilocal901BurgerBinge week and I am a fan. Me and my husband got there at around 9 and it wasn’t crowded. We ate outside which in my book is a nice additional to any restaurant. Now of course I ordered the $ 5.00 Mac-n-cheeseburger with the plain chips while my hubby ordered the Grizz burger with the hottt chips. I liked my burger, it was moist, and juicy. Also, I thought the mac n cheese went really well and it tasted great. The hubs liked his burger too but claimed that the chips weren’t hot at all. Now hes a Texan and I think his taste buds are gone LOL because they were super hot to me!!! Overall, I thought the service was good and the food was yummy. Also, all of the staff were super friendly and polite and I really liked the resturant/bar vibe. I will definately be back to try another burger!

Very Solid Burger!!! I had the Kuma Burger. It was a perfectly cooked Medium and seasoned well. I had never had a fried egg on a burger before but decided to give it a try. I thought the runny part kind of dulled all of the flavor of the burger so I don’t think I will do that again. The Bacon was awesome! Nice and thick with lots of flavor. I dug the«Ciabatta Type» as it stood up well to the giant burger. It was soft but still firm enough to take the abuse from all of the burger grease and egg yolk. The burgers come with chips and the choices are pretty rad… Dirty Sea Salt, Zapp’s Voodoo, and Nikki’s Hot Ass Chips. I had the Voodoo with mine and was smart enough not to open them. I kept them for later because I was about to die from burger overdose! The burger was SO big! I struggled to finish it for lunch! I had a meeting afterwards and was totally worthless. All I could think about was telling people about what I had just eaten. Goodness! Go Here!
