I got there about 15 minutes before opening because I was not paying attention to the time, but they unlocked the doors and let me in anyway! This store has an extremely friendly and helpful staff, which makes any shopping task more enjoyable. They were very busy due to the time of year, but I didn’t feel neglected one bit and I did not notice other customers looking for help or lacking the attention you expect at this level of retail – the store does a great job of managing the client and meeting their needs. This is a great brand with a high quality product that easily justifies the price tag.

I typically shop online, but sometimes the selection is not as good and a trip to the store is warranted. The women’s and kids’ sections are very small and not well stocked. If you’re shopping in the men’s section, you should not have a problem finding what you need/want. The kids’ section can get especially messy– clothes not stacked neatly or folded. There seem to be a lot of employees wandering around who will ask half-heartedly if you need help. When you tell them no one was helping when you check out, they apologize and act as if it is the worst offense they could have committed. Sometimes I don’t need help. Sometimes I do and don’t want to ask because they act like they can’t be bothered. The quality of the clothes is good and if you get an employee willing to help, they will search for an out of stock item and have it sent to the store for you. That’s a nice touch, especially if you already know it is out of stock online.

Our local VV store is very spacious and not at all cluttered. The staff was very friendly as I walked around and offered beverages — which on a hot summer day I gladly accepted. I’ve never been in other VV stores for comparison but this one seems to have a strong focus on men’s attire, very disappointed in the small ladies selection. I like that they have regionally specific tees and wound up getting one along with a pair of flip flops. The young man checking me out was rather rude, maybe because I only spent $ 96 but for all they know my BFF is their biggest customer so points off for that. Another preppy brand has my loyalties but I wouldn’t object to coming back in here if I saw something cute in the window.

I give credit where credit is due, so I feel it necessary to give criticism. That way my opinions and experiences will deem credible. It started out really great. To begin, I was offered a bottle of water by a store associate while waiting in line. And I found exactly what I was looking for within the first five minutes I was there. Easy peasy. I don’t mind paying a little bit more for something more durable and a good experience. Shopping is my holy grail. But the girl who checked me out was EXTREMELY pretentious and rude! I attend beauty school, and that day my classmates decided to do my makeup very dramatic. I could tell exactly what she was thinking about me, because it was written all over her face. I looked somewhat crazy compared to my norm, but she gets paid to sell the store. And it shouldn’t matter what I look like. I was buying a graduation gift for someone else. I watched her with the customer ahead of me, and you would’ve thought the customer was a queen. She did an amazing job with her, so obviously I wasn’t expecting such a dramatic change when it was my turn. The customer bought a lot of clothes, so it took the girl awhile to get everything wrapped and organized. She took her time with the customer, and I really don’t mind waiting. I was actually very excited to see such great customer service in Memphis. If you’re not familiar with the Memphis area, just know that it’s a rarity. The customer was checked out, and it was my turn. I handed her my gift item and she scanned it quickly and tossed/threw it on the counter. She didn’t bother putting it in a bag, and she called the next customer over before I could pick it up. She changed her tune quickly when I walked up. She was SO rude and SO snippy. I had a dumbfound look on my face, and I just stood there for a minute. She looked at me for the first time since I was waiting in line. There was no eye contact throughout the entire transaction, and she said nothing when I gathered my nonbagged item, wallet and phone. She huffed and sighed loudly until I got out of her way. I had never felt more judged in my life. And I went to very upscale, daddy’s money type schools growing up. She showed them up in less the ten minutes. I’m giving a VERY generous 2⁄5 stars. 4.5÷5 for the first associate that greeted me. And a negative 2.5÷5 for the stuck up associate. Per reading other reviews of this location, my experience seems like a fluke. Eventually, I might return if I need to get my friend another gift from the store, since that’s one of his favorite brands, but I’ll most likely spend my hard earned minimum waged money at businesses who don’t treat me like I’m the scum of the earth. Or shop online.

Having worked here for the first 3 years it was open, I might be a little biased. But I went in today, and I saw customers being taken care of very well. The clothes are always fun and well-made. This is a great brand with solid owners. And the partnership with Oak Hall here in Memphis makes it even better.

This is my favorite clothing shop in Memphis! The clothes are very good quality and the selection is great. They carry upscale casual clothes and accessories for men, women, children and babies. This is my son’s favorite clothing brand. The sales clerks are very friendly and helpful. I often find great deals on the Whale-of-a-Sale rack, but even most of the regular prices are reasonable. I love the fact that they don’t sell tacky VV knockoffs in cheap overstock stores, unlike many other brands. We love shopping here!
