Pretty chill place serving up solid food. The affordable burger I had here was much much better than the $ 14 burger I had the night before in downtown Menlo Park. Came after 5 so had more of a sit down restaurant vibe and menu than the deli.

Here’s another straight forward review of a local business, So the one thing I like is roasted turkey IN Dutch crunch bread, loaded, I’m VERY picky about this sandwich, Anna was the server on Saturday and on a Sunday and Judy was on a Tuesday both took and personally made my order and got it right, now on 3 separate occasions between December and January around lunch time„ WOW! It’s was easy service and I was not ever mistreated by any staff nor have I ever seen or heard of any problems I’m very suspicious of these targeted negs in some other reviews, Folks who follow and know me understand that I can be very critical when visiting a business and expect some respect and hopefully a speck of friendliness, but mostly a product that’s advertised, this exceeded it every time. Now this may be an import interest to others, in that they are in high demand, and twice I saw presidential s come to eat there when in town, now that’s cool! The restrooms are clean and updated. lighting is good, and the temperature was comfortable. the Prices very fair to me, tips avg, 18% from me(in a jar). Should I experience anything different ill redo the review to reflect that but as of this writing OUTSTANDING highly recommended! Enjoy! My next review will be a dinner at Main and Elm restaurant in Redwood city, c ya!

Was providing advice about a good place for people to meet between San Mateo and San Jose AND that is open a bit later(for example later than the nearby Starbucks). This is a great option!

A neighborhood gem! I was surprised to see a handful of negative reviews about this place. I live right around the corner and probably stop in once every couple weeks. I really enjoy the coziness of the place. There are a few couches and comfy seats you can unwind in plus some more traditional restaurant tables. Generally fairly quiet so I like coming to unwind or share a glass of wine with some food with my girlfriend. I would say this place really does well for sharing plates. They do have some main dishes, but my favorites are from the appetizer menu. Grab a bunch and enjoy with friends or gorge yourself… I have certainly done both! Nice big screen TV to catch a game, but not to the point of being disruptive to the rest of the place. All and all, I like it to have a nice quiet place to decompress with good wine/beer options and decent food selection.

My daughter and her friends went here for lunch on my recommendation. My daughter sat down at a table while the others went to order. Immediately, she was approached by an employee who rudely said, «If you aren’t going to order anything, then see ya». She stomped away without giving my daughter a chance to explain that her friends were getting her order. Even after seeing the girls sitting there, all with food, she didn’t make any attempt apologize. Great customer service… I will never make the mistake of recommending Lutticken’s again, and I sure won’t be going back again. I hope they get their wish and have plenty of open tables…

As other reviewers have pointed out, I can confirm that the paninis are reheated using the microwave and are disgusting. The other sandwiches are palatable, but there are much better options nearby at Eric’s or Bianchini’s Market, both of which also offer dutch crunch bread. The service ranges from confused to offensive. I once came with a large group and was yelled at very rudely by one of the staff(an older woman) for showing up with a large group but not ordering anything for myself. Even though most of the other people in our group had ordered sandwiches and the restaurant had plenty of open seats(as often seems to be the case during lunch hours), she was so offended at my decision to try and be at the same table as my group that she forced me up to the counter to buy a $ 1.50 bag of chips. Our group was appalled, not necessarily by the rule, but by the insanely abrasive way in which she tried to enforce it. I doubt we will be coming back even though we’ve been customers here before. I hope that the $ 1.50 was worth losing around a dozen customers(perhaps more if anybody else in the restaurant was paying attention). I suggest putting it towards some classes for your staff on how to properly act in the service industry.

Good food but there’s a very snobby rude old lady which makes ordering a very difficult and painful ordeal. The deli is known for their Dutch crunch bread but they always run out, you’d think if that’s what their known for they might want to make enough for the day. The owners daughter was very pleasant and somewhat made up for the mean old lady.

TV is bigger, which makes it a better place to watch sports. North coast draft beer is really good, great price too. Sandwiches are great just like they used to be 20 years ago, but you can only get them at lunch time. Dinner food is pretty bad still.

My boyfriend lives down the street, and I would always come here wanting a sandwich for lunch. But they constantly run out of every deli roll and are usually just serving sliced bread for sandwiches when I get there, around 1 or 2 in the afternoon. This has happened to me the last two times I have been there. I can make a turkey sandwich on sliced bread at home. I would like an actually deli sandwich on a fresh roll, if I go out for one. If you get there before they run out of rolls, their sandwiches are really good.

I was in the area for a business meeting. I like this place. Nice casual vibe inside with a mixture of counter seating and living room style seating. I ordered the Hawaiian panini and my friend had the bacon cheeseburger. The Hawaiian had ham, cheese and this funky spicy pineapple salsa which made it taste really good. Loved the free Wi-Fi. Would come again and get a beer with that sandwich! Around 3:30 the strangest thing happened. A bunch of middle school boys came in and were buying sandwiches and sodas. Then they hung out on the couches and ate the free candy. Super cute.

I’d heard good things about Lutticken’s and since I’m always on the lookout for a good sandwich/salad/deli type place, I was excited to try. This sandwich was extremely disappointing. We ordered a salami sandwich on a sourdough roll with regular mustard(not dijon) and everything on it. The roll was dry, there were literally two pieces of salami on the whole sandwich, and it had dijon mustard, which my husband hates. We didn’t realize this until we got to the park where we were planning to picnic, otherwise we’d have taken it back. It took several teens who were running the deli counter a long time to make the sandwich, and I asked if I could order a pickle on the side. The cashier seemed totally overwhelmed and confused by this request, and initially wanted to just put it into a paper bag with no wrapping or anything. I had to ask if he had a tray, or wrapper or something, and he found some plastic wrap. The whole experience was really sub par. We will not be returning. Based on the other glowing reviews, I’m assuming we visited on an off day with new trainees or something. Very confused about why that sandwich was so bad.

This place is awesome! I’ve been going here irregularly for about 5 years now, and seen it change from an old school deli to more modern, but main deli sandwiches have held true to form. I wouldn’t mess around with the Mexican menu, because what they do best is sandwiches. My personal favorite is a club on sourdough roll. They nail it everytime. The sourdough roll is sour and slightly crunchy, and it’s a pretty nice size too. It’s great. I’ve gotten a slew of other sandwiches(the Degelman comes to mind), but everyone has their favorite, and they do a good job with most. The deli sides the offer aren’t all that spectacular, but it’s the sandwiches you come for, so get one of those and a bag of chips. You can’t go wrong.

Really quaint little place in Menlo Park — visiting here and needed a quick bite for dinner. Service was really great, had a couple TV’s with playoff games on too, although it definitely isn’t a sports bar. Had caprese salad and Italian panini — really tasty, fresh good basil and mozzarella. panini had really great cuts of meat and tasty cheese. recently got draft beer — had 4 on tap. Best of all this place is really well priced. app, entre, and a beer, + tax/tip was about $ 20 — definitely awesome!

I had some great pasta salad, I had a great shrimp and avocado sandwich and even a Hawaiian sandwich. The Hawaiian was hella random I didn’t know what to expect . Idk I see something random and I’ve gotta try it. It was really really good. All the food was really really good. I haven’t been here in awhile an I really love what they’ve done to the place. They even have a fireplace which is perfect for taking dates here. The staff is great here too. They have karaōke here every Wednesday with the special legendary kj Anthony A.k.a Mr Sex. Karaōke here starts around 7pm which is great for hitting up other spots after. This guy has music running through his veins . Its a cool great location. Its a family type of vibe soo no singing about bumping and grinding or stroking but there’s plenty of good times. I sang a lil weird Al last time I was here. I dig it man, the parking around here is excellent also. I hope this place stays around as long as I am still around on this Earth with air in my lungs.

Went awhile back and tried a sandwich. The best part of the sandwich was the avocado. I ended up picking off a lot of the meat because it wasn’t very good. The other veggies tasted off. I tried the enchiladas today to give them a second chance. Got black beans instead of the pinto beans that ordered, was disappointed. The rice was tasteless and got two steak enchiladas when I asked for one cheese and one steak. The enchiladas were bland and I bit into a huge piece of fat! Gross. Didn’t really eat much of it after that.

So disappointed after all the good reviews. I ordered a sandwich platter with salad and assorted desserts for a meeting. The sandwich tray looked awful like it had just been thrown together. They put so many tomatoes on each one that the bread was soggy by the time it got here. I had to rearrange the tray to make it look nice. The pasta salad was good and the desert tray was very small but tasty. Nothing special about these sandwiches, very plain with packets of mayo and mustard on the side(tacky). Togo’s does a better job with sandwich trays than this place and for much less.

This review is for another order through . Due to slim choices for lunch, I decided to give Lutticken’s another try and go with the Rich Boy Sandwich(on Dutch Crunch, w/Pepperjack, $ 7.10, ) since it sounded interesting. There was roast beef and turkey in there, and maybe another type of cold cut as well. They gave you a lot of meat, but the Dutch Crunch wasn’t very crunchy. Overall, this was an ok sandwich, but not something I’d probably order again.

Pretty decent deli sandwiches(their Dutch Crunch and Rye is bomb). LOVE their online ordering system. Great for ordering food for your office meetings. Their homemade cookies at the front are delicious! They have a plethora of snack sized chip bags(lots of Kettle baked chips). The place is pretty cute with coffee shop-like seating so you can enjoy a meal pretending like you’re in your own home kitchen or living room.
