Good beer, but atmosphere needs work. The owner was very nice and apologetic for any delay in getting us our food and drinks. I’ll come back and hope they improve a bit If you’re into micro brews and micro boozers, you’ll enjoy their options.

I have to say this place is pretty bad and overall an awkward experience. Three of us were 26 and over visiting for the first time knowing nothing about what kind of beers they had, or food. We sat down and were asked«What would you like?»(Not having menus) followed immediately by «Are you guys old enough?» but not actually asked for ID’s. The atmosphere had a sort of dirty feel to it as well. We went for the fish fry and tried some beers, which were okay. Everything we ordered one of the staff members made sure to comment about how good it was and that the ingredients were real. The food took about an hour for two deep fried fish dinners and what looked like a 10 piece chicken McNuggets. They also had a 10 – 12 year old kid in there bringing us our food who was a little awkward. The first plate he brought he tossed down in the middle of us with a «Here ya go.» Then when he brought my plate of fish he set it down so a piece fell off the plate and onto the bar. He followed it up with a «Sorry sir… Let me guess you need forks and knives?» No offer to replace, but he did make sure to stop back 5 minutes later and ask how our malt vinegar was. All in all the food and drink were not worth the wait. I do not think we will be back.

Ever changing tap list, wide variety of beers. Food was good and staff was fun, easy to talk to. Would recommend and look forward to visiting again when in the area.

Went there last night. Wow, are the beers good! This is NOT a fancy-schmancy place. It hasn’t been at this location long, and clearly they are still working on the décor. That said, the reason for going — a good drink was excellently fulfilled. We tasted several of the craft beers, all of which are brewed by the in-house brewmaster. Our favs were the Octoberfest, the Berliner sour weiss, the Molasses bock, and the Chocolate ale. All completely different but common in the quality flavor and clean finish. They let us freely taste, and offered two«shorties» for the same price as a regular size. This was a great way for us to enjoy several flavors. We also had a pizza(made in house) and some fries to snack on. All together we had 3 regular, 2 shorties, plus the food for $ 35. A great deal. We’re told the beers change frequently, and we didn’t even start on the craft cocktails, so we will be back!

I’d love to see this place excel, but it needs work. The interior is a bit divey and the room really doesn’t flow. The back area feels really separate and the tables are pretty off. Service was good both times I went in and the prices are fair. They’ve recently added a kitchen in the back and the fish we tried was pretty good. My issue here is the beer, and this is a craft beer bar. It rotates too fast with a focus on the absurd rather than some tried and true with some of these being interesting to try(but not something I really want a lot of) and some being terrible. What I’d really like to see is say 2 or 3 well done styles constantly on say an IPA, Cream Ale, & ??? then rotate through your creativity on the others. If these first 3 are good you always have a reason to come back and can experiment. The way it works now it’s easy to try a few odd balls and leave disappointed. Relative to the spirits, again they are all craft made. A few of them are quite good, others are typical to style. The real rub here is that they don’t use them in a traditional fashion meaning when you order say a WI Old Fashioned it’s not the typical muddled drink made with a house spirit. In attempting to, IMO, over feature the craft booze the drink desired was lost.

Damn, I hope they improve. Atmosphere needs a makeover. Bathrooms outdated. Might be for some people but not for us. Real bad try on the flavored beer, and the only mixed drink that was ordered(the WI. benchmark of drinks) really sucked. Maybe they should master the basics of brewing before adding in the gimmicks. I hope others enjoy this place but I doubt we will be back.
