I do not understand the 3 star review, did not have pizza. Restaurant and service were excellent. I had chicken Parmesan, soup and a salad. I want to return for the marsala and broasted chicken. Food was excellent.

This thin crust pizza is great. I’m new to Milwaukee and so I can’t say its the best in town but I would be surprised to find one much better.

I finally tried this place when I got a coupon in the mail(oddly enough after moving from Bayside to Whitefish Bay). I got the veal marsala and it was out of this world. Huge portion, I probably got 4 meals out of it. And shame on you, the clam chowder that came with it has ruined all other clam chowders for me! When I walked in, I was pleasantly greeted by a nice young server/hostess who showed me around and was very enthusiastic about the history. It was about 3:30 on a Friday afternoon and the bar was packed, everyone looked like they were having a great time. Next time I’ll stay for a drink.

Been enjoying you guys since I was a little kid playing video games. Now I’m bringing the best pizza I’ve ever had home to my kids. Great job! Thank you!

Ordered takeout pizza last night, had a friendly conversation with the bartender while we waited. Pizza was ready on time and very tasty. Lots of toppings on the deluxe!

We ordered bruschetta and pizza. Both were delicious and we took tiramisu with us to eat after the show!

Ferrante’s is one of our favorite restaurants in Wisconsin. My wife and I ate there twice recently and were pleased both times. The food was excellently prepared. reasonably priced and delightfully presented.

Whenever I am in Mequon I try to eat at Ferrantes. Amy runs a great family business and the food is great. I normally get the Amy Special Pizza which is basically a meat lovers pizza. I have had many other dishes there and do not believe I have ever been disappointed.

Stopped in here for a late lunch on the way up to Sheboygan with kids and grandpa in tow — couldn’t have been happier with either the food or the service. I suppose the atmosphere is a bit of a throwback, but the 1.99 kids meals were hard to beat! For not that much more than the cost of a horrible fast food meal, we had a pleasant sit down lunch.

I honestly don’t get the rating here. My great friend and I took three kids on a Saturday night and got right in. We were all giggly, tired and hungry after a day of skating. Our waitress was super patient and really funny. She hung our kids awful drawings up on the wall(they made them awful on purpose) and had a few guys at the bar cracking up over them. Both my friend and I ordered the broasted chicken — it was DELICIOUS. The mashed potatoes were really great as well. We had a blast, food was good, great prices. Would definitely return!

We were fortunate enough to have had Ferrante’s cater our daughter’s rehearsal and wedding dinner. We have many friends who attended who are Italian and Sicilian. Their comment was — Where did you get these pizzas? They’re delicious. We had many comments saying that this was the best wedding dinner people have ever had. The food was creative, delicious, and it came out at the proper serving temperature. Amy couldn’t have been easier to work with. Do yourself a favor and meet with Amy for any catering needs — and stop into the restaurant for absolutely fabulous food.

Pizza was bad. The crust is awful. This is American pizza, not even close to Italian. La pizza fa schiffo, ‘e propio Americana. Non prova la pizza!

«This is a proud family establishment» is pretty much written all over the menu and the walls. With that said, I didn’t get that family vibe from the staff members. Makes me wonder if the late great grandparents would appreciate what they saw today… The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great — The butter was rock solid and the food was bland and flavorless. The service was kind and prompt, which is why I’m giving this place the benefit of the doubt.

My boyfriend and I love going to Ferrante’s. This is our«go to» spot for sharing a bottle of wine, going soup to nuts across the menu and having a great time. The service is attentive and friendly. Sara especially, went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. The menu is diverse enough that you can always find something to satisfy a craving. Our favorite lately has been the open faced tenderloin sandwich. The grill cook definitely knows what he or she is doing. It is always cooked and seasoned perfectly. You must save room for the tiramisu; so light, fluffy and fresh. It is a great finish to all of our meals there. I am so delighted that we found this gem. We will be back, again and again.

Dining at Ferrante’s is like visiting hospitable Italian relatives. A sense of family permeates this restaurant, from the dining area allocated from the front parlor of a former farm house, to the multi-generational family photos adorning the walls, to the young inexperienced waitstaff who are doubtlessly members of the Ferrante’s extended family. The food is home-style cooking featuring pizza, seafood, and pasta. Recommend the fresh catch of the day entrée with tiramisu dessert.

I’m disappointed Ferrante’s has such a low rating because I’m a pretty big fan. Once again, we don’t go super often, so I only get one thing because it’s great and when we go, I want it. I get pasta with alfredo sauce and add meatballs. The meatballs are kept in marinara sauce, so when I get my plate I have an alfredo/marinara mixture which is super-tasty. It’s a small place and you’ll feel a little close to your neighbors sometimes, but we’ve always had a good experience here.

I was more of a regular customer when I lived in the north shore area, but now that I’m living downtown I eat here a little less often. But when the mood strikes, the 20 minute drive is not a problem for me, especially if I’m on my motorcycle on a warm evening. Generally, but with a couple caveats, I’m pleased with the food and the service, though I usually sit in the bar area since I often stop by when I’m by myself. As mentioned, portions are huge, but I like the fact that another meal(or two) can be had once leftovers come home. The thin crust pizza is generally good, but cools off quickly, perhaps helped by the metal grate with holes that elevates it slightly off of the pan, so you better eat it while it’s hot. Drinks tend to be generous, and cheap, but getting the attention of the bartender can be a chore, especially when he/she dotes on the regulars. Everybody seems to know everybody, especially at the bar, so if they’re all concentrated on the other end of the bar, you might find yourself waving frantically to get someones attention. One thing though, really got to me. The servers drop off dirty/greasy glassware(there are often lots of kids) next to the bar’s waitress station. I watched in ghastly horror as the(female) bartender kept picking them up using her fingers INSIDE the(sometimes still full) glasses, set them down behind the bar to be washed, then IMMEDIATELY pick up a lemon and squeeze it into a drink-in-progress, or pick up cherries with the fingers that just came out from inside those dirty glasses. I came thisclose to saying something to her, but I bit my tongue. I couldn’t help but wonder if I was truly the only one noticing this, but everybody was either oblivious or(God forbid) they found it acceptable. I found it pretty unappetizing, and left an untouched manhattan(with cherries) behind as a result. If I ever witness this again here, I’d probably say something to somebody.

WOW. These people need to work on portion control. The pasta plates were huge! 4 people could have easily shared one plate. Please increase the quality and taste of your food and decrease the portion sizes. Customers will pay the same price for a small amount of quality food. Also, lay off the parsley! The restaurant itself is cute and cozy. Waitstaff was inattentive. Actually went to the bar for one of our drinks because the server forgot about us.

I haven’t been to Ferrante’s in years so things may have changed. Ferrante’s is midwest style pizza. VERY thin crust, crackery, crispy, and cut party style(round pie cut into squares). My grandparent’s love this style, in particular the original Zaffiro’s downtown. It is not my favorite kind of pizza, but it goes down easy with a beer and a packers game on tv. With a Zaffiro’s location nearby now, Ferrante’s has some tough competition on the thin-crust market. But if you want to eat-in, the place has a very homey atmosphere.

I had high hopes for Ferrante’s, but they fizzled like a dying 4th of July sparkler almost as soon as we were seated. As the server was taking our drink order, she kept licking her lips and rubbing them with her hand, then against all logic and reasoning decided to tell my family that she«just got this cold sore, it just«popped» up!’, and continued rubbing her hands all over it and even pointed it out to us. Fighting the urge to grab my husband and children and run for the door, I silently said a prayer that she passed the infection control portion of employee training, and remembered to wash her hands before making our drinks and bringing us our food. I spent dinner painfully aware of her coldsore, and unable to really focus on anything but making sure that I did my best to avoid directly touching anything she had come into contact with. You can see how this might be a problem. The food itself was mediocre at best. My family enjoyed their entrees, but my angel hair pasta was gummy and overcooked. I can honestly say I am not interested in going back, simply because the employees seem socially inept and… well… gross.
